We arrived in St. Augustine after a jam packed morning and we were hungry since it was after 1:00. There are so many choices and places to grab a bite. Actually 3.5. This is right on historic St. George St. you walk right in. This is a help yourself pour draft taps. You walk up to the counter where there was a lovely young woman to give your credit card to start your tab and/or order food. There is a small menu options. Basically burgers and fries and onion rings for the most part. There is about 12 tap options which include a couple seltzers and ciders. We ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and egg that comes with fries and a side of onion rings. Be advised the large onion rings is quite large so plan on at least 2 people sharing. While the cheeseburger, fries and onion rings were very good, we found the prices to be expensive. We also found the "pours" to be quite expensive as well. You use a card to tap to release the spout then it charges by how much you pour. You turn this in at the end to get your total. Though, I understand location..but this little place isn't that extraordinary to charge those kind of prices. $15+ for a burger that is similar to fie guys type of burger for reference. I originally visited here in November 2024 and had such a great experience that I knew when we I came back I had to get lunch here. While walking the downtown area- we saw this place with outside seating which we expected for the pooch in our party. But it was drizzly and the gal at the door assured us they were "very pet friendly" so we were able to sit inside with the husky girl. I have to say I have passed this place many times while up in St. Augustine but this time I had to make the stop because I was in the mood for beer and a greasy dish to accompany it and this place did not disappoint! The only thing I did not like about this place was the girl working the register when I was there, she looked miserable and was half explaining the beer wall when I asked for about it. The beer wall is amazing they have about ten different beers that can you pour yourself! You hold up a "tab" card and pour how much you want. They charge by the ounce and it is about ¢44 an ounce! They have everything from light to dark beers and even a couple seltzers! My favorite beer I tried was the San Marco Sour. It was super refreshing and if I wasn't afraid of being dehydrated from the heat I would have had so much more of it! I ordered a chicken Philly and while it took a little to arrive, it was piping hot and loaded with everything! The peppers were diced and cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted very well and a nice amount of it as well! I only wish they toasted the bread to round it out very well. Probably the best place in town to watch any football game. Every table has a tv, the service is friendly and they are happy to accommodate changing channels or raising the volume. Get there early to avoid crowds especially for big games. The line gets long and busy but if you have a good spot you're golden. This was the place I decided to go stop for lunch while trying to beat the absolutely unbearable heat while I was recently up here and I am glad I stopped here. Walking in, it seemed little but the place had a couple different rooms to sit and enjoy my food in. I will say I wish the staff was a little more friendly but the girl that took my order looked like she had better places to be, especially when I asked to tell me how the pour your own beer worked, she must've been sick of explaining it because it felt so forced to explain it again (which was the main reason me and my husband came here.) Anyways, I love the styling of the place, many license plates of different states were on the walls and they had many TVs playing sports game. There is a section where you tap a card and then pour your own beer and it is charged by ounce, about .44 cents an oz which isn't bad but adds up if you drink a lot, very quickly! They also had wine on tap for a couple dollars an ounce. I decided to get a burger here and for the price, this thing was massive! It was cooked perfectly and all the toppings on it were fresh, such as the lettuce and tomatoes! The amount of fries I got was amazing and they had the perfect crisp and seasoning to them! It was a Sunday when I went and half the beers I liked the keg was empty. I did get a free half a beer since the keg was very slow in pouring. Finally a big turn off was they only take cash tips. This was very embarrassing for me since they told me they take CCs. I had no cash. The place was empty and it seemed like only one person was working there. I love having control over the amount I drink, seeing the options available, and being able to read about the drinks on the screen! The process was super easy and every time you get a drink, it tells you the price of your poor. I had 2 drinks and each 1/3 cup equates to ~$2! There was plenty of seating and TVs all around playing sports games. At the time I went, it was rather quiet but I can see how it would fill up and get a little rowdy during a game or supper time. We were drawn by the business name since our sons name is August and we call him Auggie. We were pleasantly surprised by the really cool concept I haven't seen anywhere else. They have a draft room with various beers on tap. It's like a beer arcade. You can swipe the card they give you and pour and then pay at the end. The restaurant is self service. You order your food and then seat yourself and pour your own drinks. They deliver your food but that's about it. Located in the heart of Saint Augustine in downtown. They have over 20 beers as well as ciders on tap. It would've been really cool if they carried more local options but they focus on more popular craft beers in Florida. I was pleasantly surprised they had a flavor of Blakes Cider (peach) I've never seen or tasted and it was delicious. Inside it's pretty small but they utilize the space well. Despite being busy the food was very quick. It was nice pouring our own drinks so we didn't have to wait on a server. The food was your typical bar food. They have really large delicious burgers. They offer a kids menu with reasonable prices based on location and other options like wings. We liked our food. My husband got a bacon burger. He prefers his bacon crispy (not soft) and I prefer my wings crispy... the food was still very tasty. They have tvs paying sports on every wall. It was pretty hot inside despite having fans roaring. We had an amazing lunch at Auggie's. I have to follow a gluten free diet and they accommodated it perfectly. The Auggie burger is a double patty burger and I was able to have it on a gluten free bun that held together. They also have a dedicated fryer with a choice of fries or tater tots. I'm in love with this place! This was my second time here and it was just as good as my first visit last year. This is the only place on St. George Street that has a self/pouring beer. Although it's on the expensive side, nothing is better than pouring your own cup of beer. It's not just beer, but they have a selection of draft wines too! You just open a card at the register, and when you're done with the card, you cash out at the register. It's by fluid ounces. They have a full blown American menu that is hot and made to order such as wings, hotdogs and fries. Also, an indoor (AC) and outdoor seating that makes it comfortable to enjoy your drinks and food! Although it's a small quick service area, the tables do become available real quickly. I recommend coming here at the beginning of the day.
