This was a fun place on the strip to go while in St. Augustine. If you like beer, this is a great place for you. They do have two types of wine and a seltzer as well, but I personally was not a fan of the wine selection. You get a card and place it into the card reader of the beverage you'd like to try and after filling your glass to the desired portion the screen shows you how much that pour cost and your total. I have been to other places where you pay first and add credits to your card, this place you pay after. The place is small and did get a bit crowded around the drink station even on a Monday afternoon, but it was a good time. We didn't get any food while here, but they do have a full menu. read more

Love the self-serve beer on tap concept! Tried some delicious beers and had fun serving it myself with friends. I have not tried the food here but the food at neighboring tables looked pretty good. They don't have a lot of taps but they cover just about all styles so you should find 1 or 2 that you like if not more. They even have red and white wine on tap which both were pretty good. I love the concept of Auggie's draft room. You get a card (similar to having a tab at a bar) and tap the screen to fill your glass. You can fill as much as or as little as you want of your glass. We ran into this place while finding something to eat in St. Augustine and we are so glad we found it! The service was top notch, you order and pay at the front, you get a number, then your food gets served to you. They offer mostly American dishes including burgers, wings, quesadillas, and hot dogs. They also offer a wide variety of beer which I didn't get to try but definitely will next time! Our food was super quick, we were surprised since they were pretty busy and it was a Sunday. We were starving and ready to wait a while but it took less than 15 minutes! Now onto the food, I ordered the jumbo wings which were super crispy and came with the sauce on the side. I thought it wasn't going to taste that good since they weren't tossed in the sauce but boy was I wrong. They were great! Dad ordered the burger and he said it was one of the best burgers he's had! Stopped in for a beer and a bite to eat while wandering the area. The beer selection is not that great, two taps are wine, a couple are seltzer, a cider and some beer. Not impressed with the selection at all especially as there are some great breweries nearby in Jacksonville that they could get beer from. I will give them that there is something for everyone however. Got the Auggie Burger and was disappointed. The burger itself was tasteless and had the slightly chewy rubbery consistency that I find to be due to moisture being removed from the burger either in cooking or freezing. The fries were cooked, but limp and not crispy. Not soggy just limp. They put so little mustard on my burger that it was virtually untasteable. The burger sat in a lump in my stomach for several hours which is another bad sign. Not on my recommended list. read more

We were lured in by $5 lunch specials of deep fried chicken tenders, shrimp or calamari. Like many of the restaurants in the historic district of St Augustine, dogs are welcome on the patio and we had our four legged friend with us. This patio is in the heart of busy tourist pedestrian traffic and a good place to people watch. Draft beer and wine are on "do it yourself" tap. You set up a tab and then you are given a card to fill up your glasses and try any beverage that you want. A couple of us tried the craft beers and others just had water. Unfortunately they did not have unsweetened tea...this is the South. We ordered one of each of the $5 lunches to share. They were busy inside with people waiting in line for a table. We were the only ones on the patio. The food came out hot in about ten minutes in small baskets. Portions were perfect for a lite lunch. Fries and a dipping sauce came with each Southern fried entree. The fried chicken breast was very generous and one of the favorites. The shrimp were small but also tasty. The calamari was just ok. For $5 the lunches hit the spot. The staff also brought out a tray of sauces including a tasty sweet chili sauce and a sweet barbecue sauce. Everything is sweet. We all liked the chili sauce. Our group of ten sat out on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful day. This was a great value and a relaxing experience among the hustle and bustle of downtown. The food was 3.5 but the experience was higher so I give them a 4. There is no easy parking close by unless you get there very early. But they are a short walk to the Fort and other attractions. You walk up, take a cup, swipe your card, and BAM... it weighs out and charges you PER Oz. That's right, you can try a little bit of everything they've got on tap here, which is actually a good variety of crafted beers from a lot of different breweries! At the tap, you can try beers by the ounce, pay once when you are done; and, help yourself to as little or as much as you like. And, although the selection hadn't changed much since my last visit, the beers here are incredible! My favorite of the bunch was the San Marco Sour, which I had twice. This restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of the Museum area of St. Augustine Florida. The ambiance is good, but it did have some bench seating where your feet dangle like you were 12 years old. I had to substitute and get a stool as it was uncomfortable to have your legs just dangling down. The BLT was good, but the bread was grilled, and it left your fingers greasy. On a hot day, you do not want to be feeling any extra grease. The chili dog was flavorful, as was the salad. I expected grilled chicken on the salad, but it came with sliced fried and breaded chicken strips. The place was out of tea as well as ice, which on a 93 degree days was disappointing. It is essentially self-service. The self-serve is good as we were assured quality service and did not have to wait forever for service. If you are in the area, it is not a bad spot to grab a bit of food and a beverage. I believe the place is best known for burgers and beer. Full disclosure... I did not eat here. I discovered this place walking back towards the Castillo de San Marcos fort on Saint George street. The cheapest burger I saw was $12.50 and came with fries. They have a self serve wall of beer. The cashier was very helpful in explaining the details. There is no minimum when you start your tab but you go to whichever drink you'd like and pour your own. Prices range from $0.32-0.36 per ounce. The drink choices covered a variety including wine, cider and different beers. I was a little disappointed at the options- bud light, Michelin ultra, a couple of seltzers and ciders. There weren't many choices for local beers but I'll definitely come back to explore new drinks during my time visiting read more
