We had passed location multiple times on the several trips that we've taken to this area and we never stopped in so we decided to change that this go round. We stopped in around noon on a Thursday afternoon and we're surprised it just how large location was. Because we enjoy barbecue we want to try a little bit of everything so we ended up getting.The whole Hawg which comes with sausage, ribs, turkey, pulled pork, chicken, and brisket along with four sides. For the sides, we chose the collard greens the Black Eyed Peas, the mac & cheese, and the sweet potato mash. Overall, the chicken was moist, but seemed to lack some of that barbecue flavor we are looking for. The pulled pork and the brisket was kind of dry putting a little barbecue sauce on. It definitely helped. Turkey had a weird texture to it when chewing it felt like it might've been out too long. Ribs were also a little dry. The sausage was really good. Had some good spice to it as well. For the sides, we weren't impressed by any of them. They just felt like they lacked additional seasoning. Enjoyed my 3 meat luch at Mojo's today. The South Carolina pulled pork was tender and full of flavor. The slaw that xomes with it was wxcellent. The brisket was also super tender. The ribs were fall ofd the bone, but not super tender. They don't wrap them to keep the bark ans rub intact. Still very good. The smoked corn waa tasty. The grits were also good. Let's start from that we were looking for a barbecue place about 30 minutes and then we decide to go to this magic place which it was not busy at all and that was amazing because we were so hungry. The service was really fast. Nice and friendly. I ordered a burger and corn. My boyfriend ordered a barbecue sandwich with bbq beans. 5 stars my bf said. I was surprised about this place and now for me it's one of my five best burgers that I've ever had in Florida. (Bbq) the place was quiet. No complaints it's a great place to eat and have a wonderful conversation. They have five different sauce that you can add to your burger or sandwich. Iced tea with refills. You can park in the parking lot two or three blocks away, but to be honest parking is a bit difficult, unless you're gonna stay the whole day there. ($20 all day) Then you're fine. I was quite underwhelmed with this BBQ experience. The place was fairly empty at 7pm on a Saturday night. Our server was very kind and the food came out very quick. The boom boom shrimp was great and slightly heavy on the sauce. I was very excited about the corn, but unfortunately they ran out before we ordered. None of our entrees were hot, and someone in our party actually had to send the ribs back to the kitchen because it was a little too cold. The chicken was flavorful and the Texas toast was great, but very salty. I don't eat brisket but people in our party said their brisket was too chewy and dry. Pretty sure this is now my parent's favorite restaurant. Everything we had was tasty from the ribs to the brisket to the pulled pork. Sides were great as well. Mac and cheese was top tier, collards were juicy and flavorful and French fries were hot and fresh. Onion rings were yummy. We can't come to St. Augustine without eating here. Completely obsessed with the Brunswick Stew - so much so - that we ask to purchase a quart to take home every time. I love their wings! I am NOT a BBQ fan but went to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Johns County at a fundraiser for kids sake. I had personal friends competing against each other to see who could raise the most tips! My husband and I joined the fun and had a great dinner at the same time. I was able to find a vegetable plate which each vegetable was so good. It came out so hot that I even burned my tongue with the first bite. My husband had ribs, as is common, he said they were amazing. After socializing for a little bit & giving others a chance to utilize our table instead of us staying and just occupying the table, we made a donation on top of our dinner and went on our way. It was a fun night of friendship, competition, love, and laughter for such a great cause. I do have to tell the "waiter staff" that they should keep their jobs, tho! read more

The smoked brisket fell apart so nicely, it was juicy. The North Carolina pulled pork was succulent. They have one of the best collard greens I have ever had and their coleslaw was very nice. Had dinner here during a trip at the busiest time of year, Christmas. The place was on an hour wait. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The food and service were excellent. We had several appetizers and entrees. The onion rings and fried pickles are delicious. For dinner we had ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. I highly recommend all three. Mojo Old City BBQ was the top rated spot in St Augustine, so we wanted to give it a try. I love that the patio is dog friendly, they sat us outside quickly but we waited a good time to be served afterwards. I do appreciate that their space heaters were working, it seems like most places that have them don't have any propane in them. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich for $16, and wanted fries as a side dish but they were out. I'm really surprised that a restaurant this big is out of such a standard side. Since our first option wasn't a go, we went with what the server recommended, the Mac and cheese. The pork was super dry, but I liked that they had a variety of sauces to top it with. Mac and cheese was pretty basic, so I was a little disappointed. Service was pretty slow, but I feel like they were short staffed for how big the inside dinning was. I'm not normally a fan of fried pickle chips as I prefer fried pickle spears, however these might have been the best pickle chips I have ever had. This, and the service, was the highlight of our meal. I had the chicken sandwich - the chicken was delicious, but there was more breading than chicken - and mashed potatoes and gravy, which was also delicious. My daughter had the salmon salad, and the salmon was terribly undercooked. She didn't want to send it back, so we brought it home to finish cooking. The rest of the salad was "okay". Given the couple of issues, the service was so good that we'll try it again at some point. read more

Came here a while ago for my first time for lunch. Back here again with my mom we both got the barbecue Moho salad with smoked turkey. The salad has smoked turkey lettuce tomatoes cornbread croutons cheese and a vinaigrette if you want with cucumbers. I got a side of their baked barbecue beans and my mom got a side of their homemade mac & cheese with bread crumbs on top. Some of the best smoked turkey I have had in the entire state of Florida. It is moist it is fresh it's you get a little hint of the smokiness if they give you a couple of the end pieces in your salad but it's not an overpowering flavor. if you haven't been to Moho old city barbecue the ambience is kind of like an in town a barbecue place they have numerous of tables on the inside and they also have outdoor seating as well as a full service bar off to the right. 10/10 read more

Mojo BBQ has the best burnt ends and best onion rings ever. Burnt ends have such a fantastic flavor. I have been to Memphis, Kansas City and Nashville. The flavor here is smoky and moist. Great balance between lean meat and fat meat. Since quantity is limited, burnt ends are first come, first serve. The onion ring here is huge and sweet. They have the sweetest onion. Our server was especially attentive to our toddler and brought her an extra toy in addition to the crayons and coloring sheet, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the meal so much easier for us. After reading some of the reviews, I knew Mojo was one plane I wanted to check out during a recent trip to st Augustine. The place was quite spacious with tons of seats inside and outside. We were able to get a table quickly and our server was awesome. He gave us a couple recommendations and helped us with our decisions. It was honestly some of the best BBQ I've ever had.
