Let's start from that we were looking for a barbecue place about 30 minutes and then we decide to go to this magic place which it was not busy at all and that was amazing because we were so hungry. The service was really fast. Nice and friendly. I ordered a burger and corn. My boyfriend ordered a barbecue sandwich with bbq beans. 5 stars my bf said. I was surprised about this place and now for me it's one of my five best burgers that I've ever had in Florida. (Bbq) the place was quiet. No complaints it's a great place to eat and have a wonderful conversation. They have five different sauce that you can add to your burger or sandwich. Iced tea with refills. You can park in the parking lot two or three blocks away, but to be honest parking is a bit difficult, unless you're gonna stay the whole day there. ($20 all day) Then you're fine. I was quite underwhelmed with this BBQ experience. The place was fairly empty at 7pm on a Saturday night. Our server was very kind and the food came out very quick. The boom boom shrimp was great and slightly heavy on the sauce. I was very excited about the corn, but unfortunately they ran out before we ordered. None of our entrees were hot, and someone in our party actually had to send the ribs back to the kitchen because it was a little too cold. The chicken was flavorful and the Texas toast was great, but very salty. I don't eat brisket but people in our party said their brisket was too chewy and dry. Pretty sure this is now my parent's favorite restaurant. Everything we had was tasty from the ribs to the brisket to the pulled pork. Sides were great as well. I am NOT a BBQ fan but went to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Johns County at a fundraiser for kids sake. I had personal friends competing against each other to see who could raise the most tips! My husband and I joined the fun and had a great dinner at the same time. I was able to find a vegetable plate which each vegetable was so good. It came out so hot that I even burned my tongue with the first bite. My husband had ribs, as is common, he said they were amazing. After socializing for a little bit & giving others a chance to utilize our table instead of us staying and just occupying the table, we made a donation on top of our dinner and went on our way. It was a fun night of friendship, competition, love, and laughter for such a great cause. I do have to tell the "waiter staff" that they should keep their jobs, tho! read more

I'm not normally a fan of fried pickle chips as I prefer fried pickle spears, however these might have been the best pickle chips I have ever had. This, and the service, was the highlight of our meal. I had the chicken sandwich - the chicken was delicious, but there was more breading than chicken - and mashed potatoes and gravy, which was also delicious. My daughter had the salmon salad, and the salmon was terribly undercooked. She didn't want to send it back, so we brought it home to finish cooking. The rest of the salad was "okay". I love that the patio is dog friendly, they sat us outside quickly but we waited a good time to be served afterwards. I do appreciate that their space heaters were working, it seems like most places that have them don't have any propane in them. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich for $16, and wanted fries as a side dish but they were out. I'm really surprised that a restaurant this big is out of such a standard side. Since our first option wasn't a go, we went with what the server recommended, the Mac and cheese. The pork was super dry, but I liked that they had a variety of sauces to top it with. Mac and cheese was pretty basic, so I was a little disappointed. Service was pretty slow, but I feel like they were short staffed for how big the inside dinning was. Came here a while ago for my first time for lunch. Back here again with my mom we both got the barbecue Moho salad with smoked turkey. The salad has smoked turkey lettuce tomatoes cornbread croutons cheese and a vinaigrette if you want with cucumbers. I got a side of their baked barbecue beans and my mom got a side of their homemade mac & cheese with bread crumbs on top. Some of the best smoked turkey I have had in the entire state of Florida. It is moist it is fresh it's you get a little hint of the smokiness if they give you a couple of the end pieces in your salad but it's not an overpowering flavor. if you haven't been to Moho old city barbecue the ambience is kind of like an in town a barbecue place they have numerous of tables on the inside and they also have outdoor seating as well as a full service bar off to the right. 10/10 read more

Mojo BBQ has the best burnt ends and best onion rings ever. Burnt ends have such a fantastic flavor. I have been to Memphis, Kansas City and Nashville. The flavor here is smoky and moist. Great balance between lean meat and fat meat. Since quantity is limited, burnt ends are first come, first serve. The onion ring here is huge and sweet. They have the sweetest onion. We had a great dining experience here. Even though they were busy, we were seated quickly. Our server was especially attentive to our toddler and brought her an extra toy in addition to the crayons and coloring sheet, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the meal so much easier for us. I ordered the brisket and short ribs with onion rings and corn, and wow, the short ribs and onion rings were the standouts, so flavorful and cooked perfectly. After reading some of the reviews, I knew Mojo was one plane I wanted to check out during a recent trip to st Augustine. The place was quite spacious with tons of seats inside and outside. We were able to get a table quickly and our server was awesome. He gave us a couple recommendations and helped us with our decisions. It was honestly some of the best BBQ I've ever had. The meat was all extremely tender and flavorful, i honestly wish my stomach could have finished my plate (the portions were big!). The sweet potato mash was delicious! 10/10 recommend. We ate at this Mojo's on a Monday afternoon during the Winter holidays. Our server was great. I had a smoked turkey sandwich and Mac & cheese and all was really good. The sandwich was loaded with meat. My husband had the brisket sandwich and fried onion rings. the onion rings were really good but the brisket was chipped beef that was very dry and incredibly salty. I tried it also and could not handle the salt. We were not given any silverware when we were seated and it took asking several times before we got forks. All of the servers seemed stressed but there were probably internal issues that were not apparent. My biggest issue was the $23 sandwich that was inedible. For the record, I have eaten at numerous Mojo's over the last 10 or 15 years as well as the booth at Springing the Blues and have always had great food. read more

The food was excellent. The bartender was slow getting to us as she spent most of the time with a family with kids at the bar. When we inquired about paying our bill as we were ignored for a long time the father of the kids reared up and stated he was the owners son and we could leave. I asked him why were his kids there and he said he could do what he wanted. He was a horrible person there. We finally paid our bill after a while inquiring about it while he threatened us.
