Good food and good service. To me, it was like a seafood diner experience. Stick to the fried shrimp and the sides are all pretty good. Service was great.

Came here October 2025 for the fried shrimp. It was very good. It is fried in a light batter. Comes with a nice sauce and they also have their own hot sauce. The hush puppies were Delicious. The coleslaw was super creamy and full of flavor. I got a side of the peas They were okay but they were served only lukewarm. This place has pretty good prices and we got in fairly quickly around 7:00 p.m. on a Thursday night.

World best fried Shrimp. Period. There is almost always a wait outside but it is worth it. Its not a super large restaurant but it flows pretty quickly. The restaurant is Cash only but they do have an ATM. There is also no alcohol/bar service, FYI. I have been coming here my whole life and can't ever skip a trip there for the Shrimp cravings on my St Augustine visits. You will not be disappointed. The staff is always attentive and friendly.

The atmosphere hasn't changed in many years but the food taste wonderful. My boyfriend brought me here, and we had the fried shrimp and it was terrific as expected. There's a nine and a 12 shrimp order size. This is the best Shrimp I've had in the US yet -- I am from Ecuador. They have a lot of great sides like macaroni and cheese and coleslaw to go with it. They only accept cash but there is an ATM machine outside.

This is a diner fashion seafood restaurant that has been in business over 50 years. You check in outside and then they tell you to either enter or wait on a bench outside. We were promptly seating and the waitress was very quick to take our drink orders and then when she returned, she took our food orders. This is a very busy place. The ambiance was one of a diner. Everything was very neat and clean! We had fried shrimp with hush puppies and 2 sides each. The shrimp was the best shrimp we have had during this trip. It's lightly battered and fried to perfection. We were offered dessert but we were stuffed. I'll definitely be back!

Unpopular opinion.... My family did not care for this restaurant. It was recommended to us more than once, including one local saying they had the best shrimp in Florida. We waited about 45 mins for a table, so we were hungry when we got seated. The food looked good, and the waitress was great. But once we started eating, I noticed no one was saying a word. Normally we would be saying oh wow, try this, this is so good, etc. my main issue was the texture of the fried shrimp was super firm. It seemed like someone took a piece of boiled shrimp and then fried it. It was just weird. Side dishes were just ok. The restaurant itself is quite dated, and to get to the restroom, you have to go outside. Plus, it is cash only, which is inconvenient. I don't not recommend this restaurant when so many others are available nearby.

The BEST old Florida Time Machine with INCREDIBLE food and INCREDIBLE service! They don't need the reviews, but as a first timer - 10/10!!! The best shrimp I've ever had. Just perfect. Can't believe I waited so long to get here. I was worried about parking & it can be busy but they have their own parking lot & there are also some paid spots nearby. They will have a wait, but since there were just 2 of us we were able to get counter service pretty quickly!

Hey Y'all, Today, America's Independence Day and also Saturday on Anastasia Island, O'steen's business was rocking. At the window, we were told there would be a 15 minute wait, however it wasn't even 10 minutes, when we were called for a table. The Service was friendly and fast. The Ambience was cozy and decked out for the 250th Independence Day Celebration. Now, for the Food, I ordered the scallops and he ordered the fried shrimp which they are known for and we shared our plates. I thought it was really good and the cole slaw and hushpuppies were some of my favorites ever. You can expect normal crinkle fries if you order the fries. I will say that they have some very different sides of you want black-eye peas at a restaurant. They have them. They even have cottage cheese and peaches, if that's your jam. Two full meals for two with coke products, cost with tip around 75. We were too full for the desserts, but the pies that I saw made me wish that I had room for them, because they looked scrumptious. So far, one of my favorite meals at St Augustine's, in a very unassuming place. Those are usually the best. Check their website for their hours, days that they are closed/open, and for their merch.

Omg. Best fried shrimp in Florida. Must try and also try the pickled beets and cucumbers. Delicious deliciousness. Ambiance is cool but service is absolutely amazing. Great good affordable quality food

The best Shrimp you can get when you visit St Augustine, FL. The shrimp is melting in your mouth. Delicious and fresh. They also have a lots of fish and delicious side dish. The service is amazing. You have to bring CASH , they don't accept cards. They also closed on Monday and some days during the holiday. You need to check in their web before go. The restaurant is nice with a fire place and some cute Christmas decorations. This place is a must visit.

    Great daily socials- CASH ONLY

The service was excellent, and the food has that fresh, thoughtful, farm-to-table feel where you can tell care is going into what comes out of the kitchen. For me, one of the biggest highlights was how seriously they take gluten-free dining. I had warm, made-from-scratch gluten-free biscuits with pork belly and a peach bourbon jam, and oh my goodness -- absolutely to die for. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. It is not often that you find a gluten-free biscuit that feels like you are getting the full experience rather than settling for an alternative. I was also impressed by how many gluten-free options they offer. Even their po' boy can be battered with rice flour. Our waiter explained that the chef is gluten-free and that they are very mindful of guests with celiac disease, including separating food preparation when needed. That level of care is a huge plus. And it wasn't just the gluten-free food that impressed us. One friend ordered the meatloaf sandwich and received a seriously hearty piece of meatloaf. My husband had the BLT with pimento cheese on thick sourdough bread, and it was excellent. We also heard that the chicken and waffles, offered during dinner, are a must-try -- so that may be calling us back! The cocktail menu was another win. The drinks were creative, original, flavorful, and clearly thoughtfully crafted rather than just the standard options you see everywhere. Everyone in our group seemed genuinely happy with what they ordered, which says a lot. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, creative drinks, fantastic food, and some of the best gluten-free options I've come across. Five stars all the way. I would absolutely return to The Floridian and work my way through more of that gluten-free menu!

Now that we've officially moved here, we've been back about three more times, and somehow I love it more every time. If you enjoy seafood and New Orleans-style food, this is definitely a place to put on your St. Augustine list! The service has always been good, the drinks are great, and yes, there's usually a wait, but honestly, it goes by pretty quickly. We typically grab a drink and hang outside while we wait for our buzzer to go off, which makes the wait feel much more enjoyable. I have a few favorites here that I find myself coming back to: Redfish Alexandria, absolutely delicious and one of my favorites. Andouille Crusted Grouper , another standout if you're looking for something flavorful and seafood-focused. My first choice now that the low country pasta isn't available Crab Cakes, always a good choice for appetizer. Low Country Pasta, this was a special during their Mardi Gras menu, and I was SO SAD to find out it wasn't a regular menu item because I would order this all the time! My first choice And please save room for dessert because the fried Oreos are a MUST-TRY! For drinks, you really can't go wrong, we've had a few of their signature drinks, but the Cucumber Martini was one of my favorites. Refreshing, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering! The restrooms are conveniently located both upstairs and downstairs. Parking in this part of St. Augustine can be a little difficult, but that's pretty typical for the area and definitely wouldn't stop me from coming here. Overall, Harry's has become one of those places we're happy to keep coming back to. Great food, fun atmosphere, good drinks, and plenty of New Orleans-inspired seafood dishes to choose from. The table really liked the empanadas, I was not a huge fan (but, I am from Miami so my empanada taste buds are different LOL). The Rockefeller Snapper was incredible. Huge piece of yellowtail and just an overall unique dish. The Scallop Cavatelli had to have been one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. It was rich and decadent. The table had some espresso martinis to end the night and I had a decaf French press coffee (I think he said French press). It was all delicious. Highly highly recommend.

I went classic Old Fashioned, presentation AND taste were on point. We split the Crab Beignets order of 4. The breading on them was light and fluffy, the Crab tasty and they were cooked appropriately, no burns or underdone spots. For our main course, we elected to split 2 of the specials of the day so they may not be there when you go, but judging by the quality of the specials, any dish would be great. We had the Caesar Salad (which is like calling the Queen Mary2 a "boat"!). It is next level, 7 minute eggs, homemade croutons, Anchovie forward, all good! We also split an order of Shrimp Cake Sliders. These were huge, and the slaw that accompanied was the perfect match to the shrimp without overwhelming them. The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!
