The steak was overcooked for my taste, but the fries were excellent, and the pie was absolutely divine. The rest of my family really enjoyed their entrées. We did have a funny moment when my brother‑in‑law tried to order a dessert they didn't have... then chose another one they also didn't have. Shoutout to our local community heroes ! Who knew that I would be able to enjoy on of the best spinach pies ever made at Ned's! When the specials were announced to our table, I was like say less! This beauty was presented with a crust so crispy, flaky, delicate and then generously filled with savory spinach goodness with creamy feta.... Taste the Love!! I savored every bite and did not even let anyone try to taste some! They made their choice... I have no regrets! I know that they all loved their entrees, because theirs was gone as quickly as mine! I noticed that towards the end, I kept cutting the last pieces smaller than the previous, because I was trying to make it last longer! One of my top restaurants to get good grub in St. Augustine that's not hipster, touristy nor over-the-top. It's like the epitome of the St. Augustine we used to know growing up. The service at Ned's is consistently great! Michelle was our server and she was very personable, efficient and gave outstanding customer service. The entire staff was amazing and didn't miss a beat from the chefs to the gals at the counter. Come as you are... There's definitely something on the menu for everyone's palate. I tried the recommended Flounder Pesada lunch special and the fish was perfectly seasoned, cooked and sauced paired with a fresh garlic, butter and lemon pasta and bread. My meal also came with string beans and carrots that went nicely with the meal. I had plenty of food to enjoy so the portions are very generous. If you like fish, this was excellent! The calamari and fried green tomatoes are fantastic starters to share and if you have room, their peanut butter pie is worth getting or order one of each dessert to pass around. Their black coffee was good and strong which I certainly appreciate when paired with desserts. Overall, Ned's Southside Kitchen is a real local winner with delicious food options. Frozen food you're served a lot of frozen food. Some people think if you get a lot of food it's good but a lot of frozen food ain't good. They say fresh fish on their menu and it's not fresh is frozen. I know for a fact is frozen the waitresses. Tell it's frozen everything that is served in that Restaurant comes from Costco. Two stars is just being nice. The waitresses in there are very nice. The owner is very nice. Just the food sucks. read more

This place is a gem!! Had no idea it was there and it was busy and super tasty. I always say the more people of the older generation in a restaurant the better it is and this place was packed. The have beer and wine, so I ordered a Prosecco I started with the cream of mushroom soup. And my bf with a side salad. The soup was def homemade and really tasty. Pro tip use the salad croutons for crunchies. My bf tried the nutritional yeast dressing they make but ultimately settled on vinaigrette but it was great that the server brought options. I ordered the fried cheese app for dinner and my bf got the chicken parm. There was a small issue with the cheese when it came out but the kitchen remade it and n it was it delish. No marinara needed as they too it with a house made garlic butter so good. The chicken parm was fresh no soggy and covered in cheese. He loved it!! They brought us a free dessert since it was out first time and the chocolate peanut butter pie was the jam. The server did take my item off the check and was really good at handling the situation. What a dump! The whole place is sticky, dirty and gross. It was our first and last time going there. I almost left, after going the bathroom. Honestly never expected a business in Nocatee to be so awful. Even the outside patio had trash under the tables, not to mention how disgusting they looked. With two of the homemade slices of cake: Chocolate Cookie Dough Cake & Italian Rainbow Cake. Both very fresh and out of this world. In the past for Sunday Brunch we have had the Steak & Eggs, Beef & Cheddar Omelette, Fritatta, East LA Burrito. All great!!! Everything on the Lunch and Dinner menus are great also!!! A great value. My friend got the seafood with white sauce and mussels and scallops with a white sauce. The place is neat and clean and the owner was on site. Going around to different tables checking how the food was. This place is excellent top notch. The plates of food are big and they have great coconut shrimp. The waitress Michelle was the best very nice happy and helpful. The owner was very professional and the food very delicious. The staff worked together well and there was a friendly vibe. A local gem! An absolute delight! Fast service, HUGE portions, and lovely staff. I always leave with leftovers. Really great local seafood and local recipes. It's definitely quirky and kind of an odd location on US 1. Don't let that deter you like it did me for a long time (I know, I'm the worst) - the food is excellent and the prices are fantastic. If there's a line, wait in it. It will be worth it. Great story behind the place on their website. We've tried lots of different things on the menu, but the Palm Valley fish & grits and the South Dixie chicken are favs. Note - they don't have much parking. I have visited Ned's 3 times in 3 weeks. Everything I have tried has been delicious. The brunch items are out of this world! The home fries are cooked perfectly! Crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The salads are my favorite. I was worried that when Gypsy Cab Co. closed that I wouldn't be able to enjoy my favorite restaurant anymore but Ned's has all of my Gypsy favorites on their menu.
