Mix platter
Adee L.

We ordered mixed platter and food was really good. If you are hungry this platter will serve one person only however you can split between 3. Food is tasty and good. The only reason for 4 star is that the sides are very very small. Like the rice portion and fries portion is really small. The meat is in decent quantity but sides portion needs to be more. Other than that good halal place to try.

Came to Daytona for a quick trip from Naples, Fl. We ran into some of the best Turkish food we have had in ages. We tried the lunch specials, the cold dip platter, Shepard salad, and baklava. Wow! Everything was amazing! The goat milk ice cream paired with the baklava and tea at the end were extra amazing! The service was great.

Amazing hole in the wall restaurant. My family and I had different dishes, but believe me when I say that the food is exceptional. The service was phenomenal, he was a very attentive and kind, young man. 10/10 recommend, you will not regret eating here!

Stopped in Saturday for lunch around noon. It was just us and the owner, Mehmet, on this visit. Turned out Mehmet would serve us and we had the opportunity to have a nice chat with him between courses. We ordered the Lamb skewer, fries and salad, and Adana, rice, and salad $12.99 every day specials that come with a cold beverage (sodas or waters). Portion sizes are appropriate and very reasonably priced. Authentic Istanbul Turkish Mediterranean food. We enjoyed chatting with Mehmet and learning what else he has in store coming up at the restaurant. Very happy we gave this place an opportunity and we look forward to coming back and trying more menu items. Restaurant has been there for a year now and is well worth the ride to give it a try if your looking for a taste of this authentic cuisine.

So I've eaten here many times enough to say it deserves a 5 Star and more rating…read more They're not the closest restaurant to me but given the chance, I try to come here as much as possible. The goal is to try every item on their menu. It's Mediterranean (Turkish) cuisine folks, which I call "guilt free, healthy eats". What to try you may ask. If you are striving for that "Olive Garden Salad + Bread combo"... let me suggest Kofta's version which is the Coban Salad and Puffy Bread. They're not offered as an all you can eat combo, but it should keep you filled between the two. - Coban Salad (5/5): A must try, soooo delicious. Fresh ingredients. The dressing, I could drink them in shot glasses. - Puffy Bread (5/5): It's made to order. Comes out nice and hot and puffy. Plenty to share with others. - From the Grill menu. Kofta Plate, Chicken Shish, Adana Plate are all good choices (5/5) - Sandwiches/Wraps: Their Doner Wrap was just okay to me (4/5) Service (5/5): no complaints here Pricing (5/5): Best value when you eat during Lunch. But Dinner items are not too pricey. Lastly, Buffets are also offered...on Sundays I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it definitely gives me a great reason to come back to Kofta.

Inside, the waitress (who I believe is the wife of the owner of the restaurant?) kindly greeted us and seated us immediately. The menu was extensive, plus they sometimes have off menu specials like fish. We ordered the adana lamb and adana chicken, as well as the mixed appetizer plate and calamari. It was way too much food for two of us, but it was all delicious. The meat was a little bit salty, but it was balanced out by the rice and other vegetables on the plate. The mixed appetizers were delicious. I don't think I would order the calamari again. Overall, great Turkish cuisine, owned by Turkish couple who moved to the United States a few years ago.

WOW! spent the entire time here saying "mmmmmm" after every bite…read more the service from each staff member was exceptional! they were kind, compassionate, caring, and really knowledgeable about every item on the menu. they were more than happy to help us when we had any questions as some of our larger party were new this type of food. now, back home in California and still dreaming of this meal a week later! cannot wait to return!

I wanted to order a carryout on a Saturday evening, so I called Istanbul Grill to discuss choices…read moreand order food. The call was answered by an automated service that seemed determined to not let me talk to anyone. Over and over it told me I must order online. It texted me the link to the clover app for ordering. I placed the order with the app which told me pick up would be in 25 minutes. Then the odyssey began. I got a call from a phone number without caller id. I called back and was told Istanbul Grill is backed up and it would take an extra 20-30 minutes. So I arrived at the restaurant 1 hour after ordering and was told they had no idea when the order would be ready. I finally got my order about 1 hour 45 minutes after placing the order. While I understand they are trying to eliminate staff to take and track orders, the whole process and extra wait makes it worse since there doesn't seem to be any feedback to Clover about extra time required. Once I finally got the food and took it home, we enjoyed every bit of it. The baba and lavas was fantastic and the lahmacun was good. I considered ordering family platters, but did not because they all contained chicken. I ordered lamb based dinners which were also great. A single dinner is enough for 2 adults in our experience. I observed most tables were taking home food. So overall food was great. Ordering and pickup were quite bad.

Amazing place!!!! This was our first time going to a Turkish restaurant as a family...and it is…read moresafe to say we are hooked. In fact, before the end of our trip we went back to get some more dips. They were that good. We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet, there were a few people but not a ton. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and it was nice out so we sat outside. That being said, you should at least pop your head inside, the decor is beautiful! For 4 people we ordered the mixed appetizer, lavos, 1 spinach pide, and 1 mozz pide. We also got 2 salgams and they split it into 4 cups for us. This was far too much food for us, all of us overate. Honestly I think we were fine with just the mixed appetizer and the lavos. That being said, know the portions are LARGE. The mozz pide itself needed pepper flakes (which they had so we added) or some sauce or something. It's kinda like cheesy bread, I don't think I'd get it again. The spinach pide however was so good! We got it with the feta cheese and it was so soft and fresh. The mixed appetizer was SO good and I highly recommend it, especially if you're in the bind we were (couldnt decide what dip to get). Theres 5 dips that come in it- Ezme, hummus, tabouli, baba ganoush and cacik. The ezme was my personal favorite- so full of flavor. The garlic really made it pop! The hummus was also really good, definitely one of the best ones I've had! Very creamy and fluffy. The tabouli honestly wasn't super memorable. Not that it was bad- it was good, but compared to the others it just...lacked. The baba ganoush was AMAZING! I've never had one like it before and I liked it so much that I'm attempting to recreate it at home. The baba ganoush is a must try. The cacik was also really good but it's not a thick dip, you could almost just use it as a drizzle. Overall I'd recommend checking out Istanbul grill. The food is phenomenal!
