Chai tea latte

This was my second time visiting, and it was just as great as the first! This time I brought my mom, who can be pretty picky, but she loved the lamb shish meal. I had the falafel wrap, and it was so yummy and crispy. Just because, we ate our dessert before the meal The owner was really attentive (but gave you your space) and kind. You can tell he loves what he does, and it adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hidden gem. Cozy little place with delicious food. Nice menu with lots of options. Homemade food. This is a scratch kitchen. Each order is freshly cooked. Don't miss this place.

Stopped by Chorba World with a friend who recommended it -- and I'm so glad I did! I had the chance to meet the owner, who's originally from Turkey. We bonded over my love for Doner Kebab from my time living in Europe. He explained that here in the U.S., it goes by a different name, but assured me it's the same authentic taste -- and he was absolutely right. The food was delicious, the prices were fair, and the flavors brought back so many memories. I even ordered another kebab/gyro to-go, knowing I wouldn't be in the area again for a few weeks. Next time, I'll definitely try more of the menu -- it's rare to find real Turkish cuisine in Florida. I believe the chef used to have a restaurant in California, and from what I've heard, his customers there felt the same way I do now. Highly recommend!

Turkish breakfast (top) and Menemen breakfast (bottom)

Wow! We stopped in for breakfast and were blown away by the quality, flavors, and hospitality of the owner so we returned for dinner as well. The Turkish coffee was fabulous, as was the tea (both hot and cold). We ordered quite a bit but I think our favorite was the Menemen breakfast. The Turkish breakfast was beautifully presented and provided a great sampling of several items. Really don't think you can go wrong here.

We tried a few meals from their menu and everything tasted so good! The mix plate for 2 was perfect…read morefor two, lets you try a little bit of everything, and super filling. Nothing was greasy and everything was seasoned well. This was my first time trying lamb and honestly I couldn't even tell which is a huge plus for me (it wasn't gamey at all). I had a piece of their Dubai chocolate and wow, the cake part was super moist and rich! Also tried a little bit of their lentil soup with a warm pita bread, a little bit of ice cream and baklava from my family's plate since I was too full to order my own and everything was perfection. The best part is you don't get that gross feeling after eating because everything was so clean/fresh. Lastly, the owner was super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back! 2/22/26

Yong St. in Ormond Beach. (Across from Mario's.) It will leave you feeling relaxed, nourished, and as though you've been ambling along the banks of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey. The food is absolutely delicious, and your host will make you feel very welcome. Also.....DO NOT leave without savoring a plate of their homemade baklava, served with goat's milk ice cream. Some of the best we've had anywhere in the world! As a side note, the pricing is very good. $12.99 will get you a delicious lunch with sides and beverage. Highly recommend.

So I've eaten here many times enough to say it deserves a 5 Star and more rating…read more They're not the closest restaurant to me but given the chance, I try to come here as much as possible. The goal is to try every item on their menu. It's Mediterranean (Turkish) cuisine folks, which I call "guilt free, healthy eats". What to try you may ask. If you are striving for that "Olive Garden Salad + Bread combo"... let me suggest Kofta's version which is the Coban Salad and Puffy Bread. They're not offered as an all you can eat combo, but it should keep you filled between the two. - Coban Salad (5/5): A must try, soooo delicious. Fresh ingredients. The dressing, I could drink them in shot glasses. - Puffy Bread (5/5): It's made to order. Comes out nice and hot and puffy. Plenty to share with others. - From the Grill menu. Kofta Plate, Chicken Shish, Adana Plate are all good choices (5/5) - Sandwiches/Wraps: Their Doner Wrap was just okay to me (4/5) Service (5/5): no complaints here Pricing (5/5): Best value when you eat during Lunch. But Dinner items are not too pricey. Lastly, Buffets are also offered...on Sundays I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it definitely gives me a great reason to come back to Kofta.

Inside, the waitress (who I believe is the wife of the owner of the restaurant?) kindly greeted us and seated us immediately. The menu was extensive, plus they sometimes have off menu specials like fish. We ordered the adana lamb and adana chicken, as well as the mixed appetizer plate and calamari. It was way too much food for two of us, but it was all delicious. The meat was a little bit salty, but it was balanced out by the rice and other vegetables on the plate. The mixed appetizers were delicious. I don't think I would order the calamari again. Overall, great Turkish cuisine, owned by Turkish couple who moved to the United States a few years ago.

I wanted to order a carryout on a Saturday evening, so I called Istanbul Grill to discuss choices…read moreand order food. The call was answered by an automated service that seemed determined to not let me talk to anyone. Over and over it told me I must order online. It texted me the link to the clover app for ordering. I placed the order with the app which told me pick up would be in 25 minutes. Then the odyssey began. I got a call from a phone number without caller id. I called back and was told Istanbul Grill is backed up and it would take an extra 20-30 minutes. So I arrived at the restaurant 1 hour after ordering and was told they had no idea when the order would be ready. I finally got my order about 1 hour 45 minutes after placing the order. While I understand they are trying to eliminate staff to take and track orders, the whole process and extra wait makes it worse since there doesn't seem to be any feedback to Clover about extra time required. Once I finally got the food and took it home, we enjoyed every bit of it. The baba and lavas was fantastic and the lahmacun was good. I considered ordering family platters, but did not because they all contained chicken. I ordered lamb based dinners which were also great. A single dinner is enough for 2 adults in our experience. I observed most tables were taking home food. So overall food was great. Ordering and pickup were quite bad.
