I ordered from Bodrum Mediterranean yesterday evening on DoorDash. I went with the lamb gyro and a side of shepherds salad. I specially requested a dill sauce on the side, there was nowhere to add on so I was not sure if I would get it or not because there was nowhere way to charge. Everything was prepared fresh and my dinner was so tasty and flavorful. I even got the dill which tasted like it was prepared in house. Tasty! (The DoorDash driver was very polite and communicative as well, I added an extra $10 tip as DD sent two drivers and there was all this confusion, plus I added a frozen Coke from McDonalds. Sheesh..I really like those things). I don't very often get gyro (lamb) because usually when I do, I find it's never seasoned properly or it just seems like it's dry or artificial..like something is just...well, off. I was on the fence staring at the menu between 2 things for what felt like 45 minutes (in reality it probably was 10 but I was having physical hunger + head hunger so yeah = 45 minutes. Anyway, I was thinking I was just going to get something that really can't be screwed up much. Greek salad with a chicken shish kebab ( I guess given the right person, it can be messed up lol) but I'm SO glad I chose what I did. The lamb gyro pita sandwich. Their chefs know what they're doing and it was truly authentic. Reminded me of the food I used to get from this little adorable authentic Greek restaurant when I was living back home in Buffalo that was owned by the sweetest older couple. They lived there but were born and raised and Greece. They used to show me and my kids pictures of how it was back home in Greece, we met their beautiful daughters who came to Buffalo for college (which is why they uprooted their existence..aww so sweet!) and shared their stories with us. We went there almost daily and my oldest daughter ended up working for them. This felt like it was many moons ago. Nevertheless, my sandwich was real, my pita was soft, pillowy, warm. I would really love to come there one day and dine in. Bodrum is pretty much right around the corner from me. I bet the owners and employees are all really nice! You can tell when love goes into food. I graduated from culinary school myself, about 20 years ago. Sometimes I enjoy something so much and I just think back on those days when I was a cook and miss it. Miss the joy that food used to bring people. The togetherness at that table your entrees brought. You just know! Thanks for a great meal last night, with love and kindness going into it. I just felt your restaurant needed recognition. Excellent food! We were visiting the town and looked for a highly rated unique cuisine and found this place. The place is nice inside, welcoming and selling some cool things alongside the food items. We both had a platter, one with falafels and the other with the marinaded chicken. They played had incredible salad and a red cabbage salad. Both were excellent! The bread was sold and warm and very fresh too. Then there was some white rice included and it was delicious too! It was jasmine rice and very tasty. We will have more items in future visits. Also, the platters came with a cup of their lentil soup, which for us was slightly different as it must have been made with tomatoes. Stop here and give them a try. You will love it! read more

Fast service and excellent food. You can tell they really care. The atmosphere is excellent. I cannot recommend enough. Highly recommend the Gyro platters. I can't even begin to explain how much I loveeeeeeeeee Bodrum. I lived in Sicily and was overseas for a few years when I was in the Navy, and Bodrum's incredibly fresh food brings me right back there with each and every bite. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. My usual go-to will be to start with the Shepherd Salad and one of the Shish Kabob or Gyro platters which comes with your choice of shish or gyro meat, rice, salad, and some kind of carrot or cabbage drizzled with an olive oil mix dressing. Just delicious and hits the spot every time. I've eaten at Bodrum a handful of times, but have ordered for delivery probably a bit more and everything is just as good as if you are sitting right there in the restaurant. However, I do love eating in because the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful with the owners not leaving out one detail to make diners feel right at home. We are so lucky to have such a wide swatch of Mediterranean restaurants throughout Jacksonville. Bodrum is right there at the top. read more

I ordered online and the meal was ready in 15 minutes just as the eta stated online. Off to a wonderful start! When I entered the restaurant, it smelled like a mixture of vomit and old garbage. I have not ordered from here in some time, because my last meal was mediocre. I like to give people another chance. I've never smelled this foul smell here in the past. My falafel seemed old, dry, tasteless, and seriously overcooked. The hummus here is usually bland so no surprise there. It's a protein source. The crappy falafel hurt my heart though. The tabouli was okay. The rice was weird but edible. For $15, I won't return. It's sad to see local spots decline. read more

Don't judge the restaurant by the outside, once you go in the decoration is on point with a Mediterranean feel and filled with Nazar Boncuk or commonly known as the blue evil eye in Turkey; even the wooden tables have it. As for the food the hummus was creamy and delicious. The lamb gyro was pretty standard with tzatziki sauce and a lot of fries. My mom ordered the chicken bowl and she said it was delicious and that it could've been perfectly shared cause it was pretty big. Service was ok, they seemed bored I don't know. read more

We loved our lunch here! Stopped in because we were in the area, and I'm so happy we did! Got the grape leaves and mixed grill to share, they gave us free soup to start which was delicious and so comforting I loved the lentil soup! Grape leaves came next, delicious served warm, the leaves were tender and had that delicious lemon pop to them. Then the mixed grill came out, steak and chicken grilled skewer were SO good!! We dined in for the first time this week. We were seated in a front corner with plenty of privacy. The servers were attentive and happy to answer all questions as well as make suggestions for our meals. We got the sampler appetizer plate, a shrimp bowl, chicken kebab platter and a veggie kebab platter. The falafel were outstanding. All were hot, fresh and full of flavor. The gyro sandwich and fries were both plentiful and delicious. Sandwich could have used more tzatziki sauce and tomato and onion though. Bread wonderful. The spanakopita used to be our fav, but no more. The new wrapping not nearly as good as old one and only 4 now per order. They need to go back to the old recipe. Take out was ready promptly when said and Les than 15 minutes. Ordered take out so can't speak to ambiance. The on line ordering system only lets you do 18% tip and up or no tip - don't agree with that for takeout. read more

I recently visited Bodrum again and was once again blown away by the quality of food and service during my visit. I crave Mediterranean food and have no problem driving from the beaches to visit Bodrum, as it's the best I've found around Jax that resembles the food I had when I was in Turkey. The blend of flavors and freshness of food is something to boast about. I've told so many people about this place and referred them here if they're looking for the best Mediterranean food. Even my mom requests to come here when she visits from PA! Also this is the best lamb I've found that's not too "gamey" or chewy but rather tender and juicy... mouth watering as we speak! What an amazing spot in Jacksonville! This is only a few minutes away from the front gate of Base so it was ideal for us as we were visiting town. We read reviews and they were excellent so we had to go in. Once walking in, we were told we could sit wherever we liked. We opted for a booth. We love the decorations on the inside of the restaurant. The blue and white color aesthetic was visually pleasing. For our meal, we opted to get the chicken gyro and the appetizer sampler. With the appetizer sampler it is a pick four so if you look at my picture, you may end up ordering something different than what I did. I added a side of Taziki as well. Everything in the appetizer sampler was excellent. We also ordered a pistachio baklava to go, and unfortunately forgot to take a picture. It was excellent though! If we visit this area again this restaurant will absolutely be on our list of places to eat. read more

We have been carrying out from Bodrum for years. It has consistently been a place we could get great Turkish/Greek food. Whenever I picked up, it seemed to be less crowded than I expected. This past Friday we decided to find out why. My conclusion: I have no idea why. There should be a line outside to get in. Our entire experience was excellent. The wait staff was on point, attentive, polite and pleasant. The interior consists of clean, rustic lines with Turkish and Greek accents. A great use of space that includes some private tables. The tables themselves are beautiful as well and the place was just extremely clean. There is a Happy hour with a unique selection of beer from all over the world and every type of wine by the glass or the bottle. Our appetizer was the Hummus duo. The spicy was very good, the original was very good as well. The pita was fresh and soft, just not enough for the hummus provided. good. My soup (Chicken Orzo) was perfect and my Gyro platter was the star. The Gyro was amazing and the vegetable sides were extremely fresh. Saving the best for last: I don't know what the flavors are, but the rice is far and away the best I've ever had. That's right...the rice. The taste, the texture, it's amazing and just compliments everything else on the plate. We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. read more

Upscale Greek restaurant that focuses on ingredients and great flavor. The gyros are spot on but first...the soups. The lentil soup is outstanding and a great start. I've tried the lamb gyro platter and the fresh ingredients are a perfect complement to the lamb. The little pizzas are a treat. I was by myself and I decided to sit beside the window so I can look outside while I relax. The menu had so many options I decided to get the lentil soup (the chicken soup was crossed out) and it was very good and steamy just how I like it! My chicken Gyro bowl was absolutely delicious! These were my first thoughts as I walked in the door to the cute looking establishment but my last thought were that was a great meal. Thanks to a recommendation of a fellow Yelp bud my friends and I stopped in for dinner. We picked a quaint corner table in a nook and promptly was beckoned for our orders. I ordered the chicken kebab. The plate on delivery was a wow factory with impactful colorings of the purple cabbage next to the bright orange of the fresh shaved carrots the rice perfectly molded onto the plate was full of flavor but that chicken tho! Bodrum was the best family meal experience we've had in quite some time, with delicious food and service to match. We had hummus (both regular and spicy) and preferred the spicy, though it was definitely not spicy. It was however very flavorful. From the chicken gyro to the beef platter, everything was as hoped.
