Staff were friendly, the decor is still the same since last visit. For this visit, I ordered the Chocolate Overload Cake, Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake and Apple Pie (for my partner). 1) Chocolate Overload Cake - rich, sweet, moist, soft and lasted a few days because it was so good. 2) Red Velvet Oreo Cheesecake - rich, smooth, soft, sweet. We finally tried it and glad we did! We got a variety of desserts to go. Chocolate silk pie, peanut butter pie, chocolate cake, carrot cake, lemon ricotta and sprinkle cookies were our selection. We both LOVED the peanut butter pie...so fluffy and creamy! My second favorite was the carrot cake but honestly everything was good so you really can't go wrong! We gave 4 stars because the chocolate cake was too dark for our preference and the lemon ricotta cookies were good but not out of this world like some of the other reviews mentioned. Been here a few times for biscotti, cakes and cookies. It's expensive but it's a real bakery which is hard to find in Jax. They have tables where you can sit and eat your sweets and drink coffee. every time I have been here we always get it to go. This time was no exception we had eaten dinner in the Mexican restaurant next-door and wanted a little sweet for dessert. My husband got two big oatmeal raisin cookies. I could not resist the white chocolate bread pudding, which came with a side of white chocolate to drizzle on top. We took the desserts home. I heated up the bread pudding in the microwave for about 25 seconds. it was absolutely delicious. It was so rich. I could only eat half definitely big enough to share. read more

This is my favorite food place in Jax. Yes, I'm definitely addicted to sugar. This is a wonderful, cute & clean bakery. Always a great selection and you can even eat in as they have tables available. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Service is great, but at times they get really busy and you may have to wait in line a few minutes. Amaretti Desserts is a great place for your dessert needs. We stopped by late on a Sunday, items were a bit picked over (with good reason), and the crew was friendly and eager to wait on us. The inside of the shop is clean with marble and red accents. Casual but classy. I had the Kentucky Derby Pie which was amazing. Great chocolate accents, amazing whipped cream and the inside had the consistency of a thick pecan pie, but walnuts were used instead. Really great pie. My wife ordered a brownie that good, but just a bit dry. Very good desserts here and excellent prices. Amaretti provides great quality at a price point far lower than comparable dessert shops in the area. We'll be back to try more. I recommend you give them a try. read more

Just recently had two delightful treats at Amaretti's! We got a chocolate peanut butter which was large, fresh, and had generous amounts of both chocolate and peanut butter chunks! The flavor was also great! We also got a blueberry muffin which was bursting with sugary and blueberry flavor, and I'm pretty sure everyone will like that one. I was eating next door and had to stop in and check out the desserts and pastries. I had tasted a few cakes from Amaretti's so I knew whatever I ordered would be fabulous. It took me a little while to narrow down my options which I did while waiting in line. I ordered a piece of tiramisu and a chocolate croissant. Honestly I wanted many more items but I had to pace myself lol. The tiramisu was rich, creamy and deliscious! I ate it over the course of three days. I'm so glad I savored it and made it last. I would order this again and again and again! The chocolate croissant was moist and the dark chocolate was plentiful. The desserts are absolutely delicious--especially the PB cookies, which are amazing! The lemon ricotta is one of my all-time favorites, and the cake sampler is a great idea. It gives you the chance to try different cakes and icings in one go--perfect for indecisive dessert lovers like me. I am a New Orleanian and I have tasted almost every New Orleans bakery's king cake. I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I tasted Amaretti's king cake! EVERYTHING about it was sheer perfection! Even if I am visiting only a week or two, I try to visit multiple times. With so many amazing choices, you can't order only a couple items and it would go bad before I can eat it it all. So multiple visits is a must. I actually hated pecans until I tried the Pecan Sticky bun. This thing is the softest, most gooey, amazing sticky bun ever. During my last visit to Jacksonville, I came in the afternoon a few weeks ago and they were sold out. The next week we came by in the morning, but there weren't any. We asked and were told they were still in the oven and it would be about 30 more minutes. We said we would be back which we were and it was perfect. I would gladly wait for this sticky bun. My other favorites are the bread pudding, the key lime tart. These are my go-to items, however the cookies and cakes are all fantastic as well. We drove to their nearby location and found much more than what we were looking for that day. Happy I arrived early today!!! This line was super long ; a mix of people picking up pre ordered Christmas goodies and folks doing last minute items. I was included in that last group ha ha ... There desserts are always so delicious. The staff was definitely hustling but did a great job of making the line keep moving and dealing with some people's tempers. I ordered pre-ordered Mother's Day upon getting home. I did not have my Mother's Day dessert and when I called to let them know, it was nothing they would do about it. They did refund me my money which I have not received yet, but that's not the point because now I don't have any for Mother's Day they blew me off. happen. I would've thought they would've brought me Desserts that they build me for in the first place because it was their fault not my fault because I double checked they called to confirm my order home. I don't have the Desserts that I initially paid for. I didn't like the fact that the manager I spoke to didn't seem to care didn't seem to ruined my Mother's Day. It is not an option for me to turn around and go back and pick up what was not put in my order that I and then the that I keep getting or not my receipt someone else's receipt with someone else's orders on it. You even sent me home with an order that I didn't even place but again they don't seem to care her words to me. We don't have a delivery service and if they deliver them, they would charge me a deliveries fee. How would you charge me a delivery fee when your store messed up my order I think I am hurt. I've come to this gem of a bakery a few times now, and the desserts are always wonderful. This most recent time, I tried the apple turnover, which was my favorite of the desserts we ordered. The pastry dough was so soft and buttery. It's the best I have had. I was so excited to try the crumbles, I had the cinnamon cake crumble, and I was let down. The crumble was salty and I really couldn't enjoy it. I wish it hadn't been because it was practically all crumble. The cookies and cream cake was super moist and a chocolate lovers dream. The pecan sticky bun is a stick to your mouth dessert, and if you have a real sweet tooth, it will be your favorite.
