This dessert spot is beautifully designed, very clean, and has a modern aesthetic that makes it a pleasant place to visit. The desserts themselves were excellent. The pistachio cookie was decadent, soft, moist, and full of flavor with a well-balanced sweetness that wasn't overpowering. We also tried an Oreo-inspired dessert that was rich, creamy, and equally delicious. The quality of the desserts is definitely what keeps us coming back. Unfortunately, the service has consistently fallen short of the quality of the food. The ordering system relies on scanning a QR code and ordering from your table, which is fine in theory, but there seems to be a strong push toward using that system rather than allowing guests to comfortably browse the physical menu first or engage with staff with questions on the menu. Also you can't order everything through the online service which defeats the purpose, our pistachio cookie we had to buy at the front. During a previous visit, one server had a very flat affect and took more than 15 minutes to prepare our order (things were premade so no prep involved) . We had to check in multiple times for an update, and there was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay. Normally a wait wouldn't be a major issue, but we were there with toddlers, and keeping young children patiently waiting for dessert can be challenging. Staff there did not seem efficient and they saw us waiting without letting us know if there was an issue. If they would have said the wait would be long (again things were premade so we did not anticipate a wait) then we would have gone for a short walk and returned instead of staying trying to keep our kids sitting for a while. In this same recent visit , a different staff member approached us while we were looking around and seemed noticeably unfriendly when asking if we needed assistance. We weren't sure what prompted the attitude, but it made the experience feel less welcoming. Overall, the desserts are genuinely delicious and worth trying. However, the service consistently takes away from the experience and affects the overall atmosphere. If you're primarily interested in the food, you may have a better experience ordering takeout or delivery. Great desserts, but the customer service leaves significant room for improvement.
Wow. Delicious. Great prices, all homemade... could eat everything. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, gave plenty of samples. Will definitely be back.
As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of luxurious chocolate and friendly staff! The space is clean, modern, and has a really nice aesthetic, making it a great place to relax and enjoy dessert. They have a huge variety of options, so there's something for everyone. We loved the fruit crepe topped with fresh fruit and had a side for the pistachio gelato. If you've just finished dinner and have a sweet tooth like my husband and I, Chocolate Bar is the perfect spot to end the night. We'll definitely be back to try more!
We dined in on a Saturday. The line was long but moved quickly. We ordered a lotus pan, a cookie milkshake and a brownie pouch. The lotus pan was a soft cookie topped with chocolate and lotus ice cream. It was outstanding. Definitely big enough to share. The milkshake was okay the straw was paper and was coming apart by the time we finished the milkshake and the straw wasn't wide enough for the cookie pieces to go through so we ended up using a spoon. The brownie pouch was very large and was an interesting texture/flavor combination. It was well received as well.
We finally tried it and we're so glad that we did! There were 4 of us so we ordered an assortment of desserts to share and our individual reviews were mixed but honestly you can't go wrong here. We started with the Lotus Lava then added the Cookies in a Pan, Lotus Milk Cake, Volcano Chocolate, San Sebastián Cheesecake and a Dark Hot Chocolate. My favorite by far was the Lotus Lava and if you're lucky enough to convince the head chef to make one for you it's absolutely worth it! It looks deceiving and isn't as sweet as you would imagine and the subtle cake buried at the bottom adds the perfect layer of depth! Staff were all wonderful as well! We will definitely be back to try an assortment of other heavenly options! Only reason for the 4 stars was because a couple of the desserts were too dense for my liking. Definitely worth a visit!
The most delicious chocolate I have ever had right here at Chocolate Bar. 1st for some reason my friends and I were expecting a sit down restaurant which this is not. It's truly a dessert place where you can use the QR code to order or ( my preference) use the BIG. Book of desserts with pictures. We were so confused as to what to order but the manager ( didn't catch his name) was super friendly and made some suggestions. He even gave us some samples of the gelato's up front. I don't remember the names of what we ordered but they were the best desserts we've ever had. The chocolate they use here is Belgian and you can totally taste the difference. My favorite was the brownie filled crepe. They sell frappes, milkshakes, fruit drinks, as well as cappuccinos, espresso, lattes, cookies and gelatos. I believe they're open till 10 PM so this would be a great place to go for dessert after dinner. My only negative and I mentioned this to the manager as they do not have decaf coffee. I think adding decaf coffee at night especially to have with the desserts would be a real plus. While this place may be a little expensive for dessert it's totally worth it because the desserts are so large that you can really share one between a few people. I will definitely be going back there with some more Chocoholic friends.
I hadn't know the Chocolate Bar had opened but once we looked inside we new we had to get something for dessert. Once you walked in you notice this is an upscale dessert restaurant and they have all kinds of amazing sounding options. I will say this is a great spot of dessert after date night though I will say you will be taking leftovers home because some of what we saw come out was huge. Ashley and I had a large dinner so we knew we couldn't get something huge so we just got a Biscoff Cookies and this was amazing. It was a little over $5 and plenty for both of us. I can for sure see us coming back but we will need another couple with us to try one of their larger dessert options.
Down and Dirty: phenomenal service. Delicious desserts. Extensive menu. Pricey but good portions. I would come again for special occasions or the occasional cheat meal. Atmosphere/Service: dessert restaurant vibes. Extensive menu with almost too many options. As soon as we walked in, we were enveloped by the smell of Belgian chocolate! We were greeted warmly and handed several samples proactively of various desert options. They handed us a menu to start looking and gave us the option to order at the cashier or scan a QR code and order from your table. Food/Pricing/Selection: As I mentioned, the menu was extensive. Options from cookies and ice cream to crêpes and cakes, coffees and hot chocolate and all the in between. We tried one of the crêpe pouches, the lotus cheesecake, the lotus ice cream, the Oreo chocolate chip cookie and the hot chocolate. Everything was exceptional! Portion sizes were decent but it was a bit pricey so you paid for it.
The chocolate was so good and rich. I ordered the platter. The service was a bit slow but the food made up for that. All of the ingredients was fresh. This is a treat place for once in a blue moon. The place is in a nice location and the vide was nice.
Really nice dessert/coffee/date venue. As soon as you walk in, you just inhale the aroma of fresh chocolate. Your eyes automatically go toward the 3 huge chocolate fountains they have and use for their Offerings. The place was busy yet workers were still friendly, fast and served a smile with our dessert. I got a chocolate crepe (very decadent, so good). My husband got the raspberry cheesecake and it was rich, cold, and hit the magic spot on his sweet craving. I can't wait to go back and try some other offerings. They have so much to chose from, they really have something for every age and every palette at any time of the day. Just try it once, this will be the place you bring your out of town company too.

Ohhh my- I was seriously thrilled to finally try the Chocolate Bar! I went along the case and we were advised to sit at a table and scan the QR menu to order because not everything is available, but the online menu is accurate. The scrolling menu boards are mesmerizing- it's easy to just watch the delicious images! I saw the chocolate and fruit pizza and decided instantly. I did take the time to scroll through their extensive menu. There are almost too many options! Three friends- we each ordered completely different items. I got that pizza and shared. Racquel ordered a cookie with a couple scoops of ice cream and they drizzled chocolate all over it. Ci-Ci opted for a tres leches style milk cake. I inhaled a slice of pizza so fast and it was delicious and messy! Racquel loved the ice cream more than the cookie. Ci-ci loved her cake. We agreed we would have bought the tower to split- but it was not available. I can't wait to try the crepes. The place is also seriously stylish inside. IG worthy. It is on the pricier side and there is another newer chocolate place that I like slightly more than this spot- hence the 4 stars over 5. However, I will update in a heartbeat if they blow me away on a future visit!
Chocolate bar is a must go to for dessert dates! I've been several times and everything on their menu is a hit! Here's on our list of things I've tried so far and have enjoyed: 1. Chocolate bar roll 2. Pistachio roll (with pistachio ice cream inside) 3. Cookies crepe 4. Kunafa crepe 5. Cookies in a pan (like a pizookie) 6. Creamy Cookies (pour coffee over ice cream) 7. Sweet Mountain (cream puffs) 8. Fruits pizza 9. Volcano chocolate (very rich so good) 10. Honey Baklava cheesecake 11. Crunchy ice cream (Rice Krispies with chocolate and ice cream) The best ones usually have ice cream in them: Pistachio roll, creamy cookies, crunchy ice cream. I'm such a huge fan of this place!!! My most recent visit was spectacular, Chocolate Bar allowed us to make a reservation for more than 30 people and provided wonderful service with ease!!! They are just superb!!!

The Lotus pan was amazing! Warm, gooey and delicious! I'd order that again for sure! The Brownie burger was ok. It was more like a chocolate cake with layers. When I think brownie, I think chewy and gooey. This was dry and very cake like. It wasn't bad but it's not something I'd order again. I'll be back to try more of their very enticing menu! read more

Chocolate bar is an EXPERIENCE. I came in thinking, oh yeah I just wanna come try this once, I'm not a big chocolate and desserts person. But the moment I opened the menu, I knew one visit wouldn't be enough. There are just so many things to try and they all look so good. I got an iced mocha and was originally wishing it was a bit sweeter. But once we started eating the sweets, I was so glad my drink wasn't that sweet to counteract all the desserts. My friend got the Turkish coffee and we weren't really fans of that. My best description of what it tasted to me was like if you tried to brew coffee with grounds that you already used before. So you're left with a really bitter watery coffee. I know there are people out there that like it, but unless you're serious about coffee like that, I would avoid it. Other than that, everything was good though lol. The flavors are nice and strong like pistachio in the crepes and cakes. And the chocolate is nice and smooth and pretty rich. read more

We made a reservation to try it last night on a whim, and we really had a lovely time. Chocolate Bar is in a new shopping center on Gate Parkway, with cute little eateries and shops, and some green space as well! We were a little early to our reservation, but we got a seat immediately. We were given regular menus, but told that the QR code on the table was more up to date with what was actually available, and we could order via that. However, if we were more comfortable ordering from a person, there was a server for that as well. We ended up getting the kataifi basket and a Lotus waffle, while my husband also got a cinnamon white chocolate latte. Mine was essentially a skillet, filled with crisp kataifi, drizzled with belgian chocolate, and topped with the most delicious pistachio ice cream and more chocolate. The waffle was warm and soft, not to sweet and drizzled with chocolates and Lotus cookie crumbs. Decor and vibes were super cute. It was a huge menu, so slightly overwhelming, but I loved our choices. It's still in its "soft open" stages, so they are definitely perfecting their processes, but I"m sure it will be ready for its Grand Opening soon! read more

After having dinner at a nearby restaurant with friends, we noticed there was no line and decided to stop by for dessert & coffee. Once inside we were asked if we had a reservation and told them no. We noticed most of the tables were fullI and said we were going to place an order to go so they allowed us to go to the counter area. It was still a bit crowded but we managed to browse the menu and order. There was so many things I wanted to try & the pictures had me salivating. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the amazing desserts they brought to the other tables, matched the aura. I would say the only downfall during my visit is the small waiting area for to go orders and it was in front of the restrooms so there was a lot of traffic in that area but maybe it's because they were busy. I also expected my Mochaccino to be in a bigger cup than what they brought out because it was small. Other than that, I plan on coming back when they're less busy and can dine in. read more
It's an experience, wow you had to reserve tables as weekend it gets busy. We had to get it to go. Wonderful atmosphere- helpful staff and what a selection of items. Staff available to answer questions on the menu items. The cookies could be warmed and they were good. Also had couple of the cakes , the Oreo cheesecake and pistachio cake were very yummy. Good spot to hit for sweet craving or after dinner. Nice plaza - good lighting and able to sit outside and could walk around the plaza as there's other restaurants. read more

The taste was 100% delicious at a premium price point. As long as you know you're coming in to some of the priciest desserts out there, your expectations will be managed. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Guests flowed in constantly in the hour we were there. For the non-QR code ordering generation, they do offer physical menus as massive as a book! Our server did warn us that they did not yet carry everything in the book at the time of this review. The book had qr codes that you could watch YouTube vids of the item you're about to order. Ambience is not intimate at all and actually on the loud-ish side. Dress code- all of the above were there so feel free to come as you are! Warning- NOT A1C friendly. read more

Such a cool spot open right here in Jacksonville! There's only one Chocolate Bar in the U.S. and it's right here in the 904. Beautiful and modern and located right in the new and bustling Gate Parkway, this dessert spot is perfect for chocolate lovers. The owner himself came up to our table and spoke to us about how they came to open the only Chocolate Bar franchise in all of America and gave me and my friends four, yes FOUR, samples of their icecream! They were all superb and extremely flavorful. I got the kunafa pan this time, which was delicious but I was wishing it had more chocolate (insane of me to say I know lol) but my friends dishes were so chocolatey it's a good thing they have free water! Will definitely be back to try their cookie pan and more of their desserts. read more

P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L Chocolate Bar absolutely lives up to the hype.,. and then some! From the moment we walked in, it was packed, which is usually a gamble, but the staff nailed it: warm smiles, zero attitude, and we were promptly shown to a table. First green flag. Ordering is done via a QR code at the table (easy and smooth), which you'll appreciate because the menu is massive in the best way possible. Sweet tooth? Covered. Indecisive? Also covered. There is truly something for everyone, and narrowing it down is the hardest part of the experience. We went all in and tried the Lotus waffle, creamy cookie, Lotus crepe, brownie pouch, the Dubai cookie, plus an assortment of gelatos. Every single bite was indulgent and thoughtfully done... rich without being overwhelming. The portions are huge and definitely can be shared. Chocolate Bar isn't just a dessert stop, it's an experience. Buzzing energy, great service, and desserts that clearly know what they're doing. This is a much needed addition to the Jax food scene, and someplace I will definitely be frequenting! read more

Today I decided to visit the Chocolate Bar during their soft launch. I have been seeing them all over Instagram and really wanted to try them before the crowd rolled in. We were required to make a reservation and I could see people out the door. The venue is quaint and is all things chocolate. The menu has drinks, cakes, teas, fruit cookies, crepes, shakes and the list goes on and on. Since it was a soft opening, not all things were available. I opted for a sweet mountain and a fruit bowl. The Sweet Mountain were a little eclairs- filled with cream, drizzled in white and milk chocolate. The fruit bowl was bananas, strawberries and pineapples drizzled in white milk chocolate. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and I like that you are required to use a QR code to get food. I honestly feel like they should've went with a larger establishment due to the traffic that this will bring. Overall, it was a great experience and I do feel that it is a great addition to Jacksonville. I will say that it is a tad bit pricey but I understand that you're paying for the experience and the attention to detail. All items ordered look like art. We will be back. read more

I was really excited to try this place after hearing so much hype about the Chocolate Bar and that this is the only location in the U.S. We made reservations as instructed on their website and arrived on time. We were seated right away and placed our order. The desserts came out one by one. We started with the Brownie Burger, which was very good. The cream and fruit balanced it nicely and kept it from feeling too heavy. Next was the pistachio roll. Unfortunately, it was missing the crushed pistachios on top, and the crepe itself was a bit hard--likely from the ice cream causing everything to set. Lastly, we tried the chocolate volcano with added strawberries. The presentation was impressive, but the cake itself was very dense and slightly dry. I had to keep adding strawberries just to make it easier to eat. Adding whipped cream or more fruit on the plate would really help balance this dessert. Overall, I'm glad I tried it. It's not mind-blowing, but it's worth a visit if you're curious and want to say you've been there. read more

BEST COOKIE SKILLET I'VE HAD EVER. They are in the soft opening phase so they have a reservation system just so they can control the indoor seating a bit. When we walked in it was after having dinner next door at Nomu and wanted to check it out. The server told us we can sit at the bar style seating if we had no reservation if that was okay with us and we said that's fine, so glad there was the option. There is a table number and QR code for the menu to order. All the items had pictures which I appreciate alot. We ended up ordering a hot chocolate and cookie pan. I will say this spot is a splurge for us it is very pricey for dessert. However I will say the quality of dessert you get is AMAZING. I absolutely loved the cookie pan. The cookie dough was scrumptious, gooey, warm, decadent. I am salivating just writing this haha. Cookies are my favorite dessert, so yes this was just off the charts for me. The hot chocolate was great. It was a great balance between creamy and chocolatey and that's how I like my hot chocolates. The inside feels like a very modern dessert place. Not too fancy in the decor but clean and inviting. It's a good place to have dessert with your friend, family, a loved one, a date, etc. Very casual and nice spot. read more
My coworkers said theirs was okay. The crepe would've been sweeter had my one coworker not just done dark chocolate, but he doesn't like sweet as much as I do. Now, the milk cake...yuuuuuuuum. If you like biscoff cookie butter you'll love this. The cake is like tres leches but with cream cheese frosting on top. I need this cake in my life. read more

Sooooo good, delightful chocolate. We were immediately greeted & welcomed in. We got the pistachio roll & waffle. The pistachio roll had ice cream inside, soooo good. We were super excited to try this place for our daddy daughter date. There is plenty of parking in the lot and a reservation wasn't needed on a Saturday with only 3 tables in use. The menu is extensive with many desserts and some interesting crepe dishes. The crepe pasta had me very curious. The people seemed nice enough and the restaurant was clean and visually appealing. We got the chocolate fondant which was tasty, but maybe only a slight step ahead of your usual lava cake. On the negative side the one small cake and scoop of ice cream was $21! Also they make you order and pay using a QR code on the table. While this is good I guess in theory I hate that businesses are making this more common. We ordered and even though they weren't busy we waited for 20 minutes for them to plate the cake and put the scoop of ice cream on the plate. Because you don't have a waiter it made us question whether or not our order was received or if we were just sitting around waiting for nothing. It's also another restaurant that makes you preselect the tip. No one is taking your order or providing any service aside from dropping off your overpriced dessert so it's hard not to feel like you got fleeced. While there are some interesting things on the menu I wouldn't have minded coming back and trying, with the insane prices and automated forced tip "service" I'm not sure we will unless they run some type of deal. read more

Honestly, I was not expecting much. I thought it was going to be underwhelming, and I am glad I was wrong!! The service and hospitality was amazing - the people there are so nice!! They explain everything so clearly and are so kind. My friend and I made a reservation and we're glad we did because it kind of got packed. I got the lotus pan, which was basically like a biscoff pizookie!! It was DELISH and surprisingly not that sweet which is like the HIGHEST compliment I can give a dessert. My friend got the brownie pouch and it was HUGE and also very yummy!! We also sampled the gelato and then also took cheesecakes home HAHA. A little pricey, but it was a 10/10 experience and I would definitely go back. read more

Stopped into the chocolate bar just to have a look, after eating dinner nearby. It's a cool environment when you walk in - nice and open space with plenty of seating. When we got to the counter to look at the items and menu, the staff greeted us very enthusiastically. They asked us if we'd like to try their ice cream. They had several flavors. We tried a couple and they were yummy. We then saw the desserts in the display cabinet and could not resist, although it was not our intention to get anything. Everything looked so good! I got the raspberry lemon cheesecake and it was so good! They then showed us their menu book and it's truly a work of art. I felt so welcome, just from a quick stop in! I cannot wait to go back and stay for a bit with one of their amazing creations. read more

Quick service, comfortable seating options. Expansive menu with near features. I want to return and give a few more chances, the place is poppin and has so many customers. I hope they get to a point where they can improve the quality of the items to match the menu a little more. There's an option on the menu to see a video of how your dessert is made and receiving something that looks very sad felt sad. Also was excited about the peach tea due to the photo and it turned out it's a basic tea. Excited to come back and try other things. read more

As a person who dislikes chocolate. This was so good I have to come back. The chocolate is real has lots of flavo. I will give them grace due to they are new to the Jax area. As I walked to the counter I had to wait 10-15 to be asked how can I help you, but they were short staff. The location was so beautiful. I would remember for you to come by. read more

When I say chocolate, you say bar- chocolate -bar , chocolate - bar! Wow - what a magical chocolate experience! We didn't make reservations- who knew we had to? However, we were welcomed to order at the counter to take out. The staff were friendly and someone walked us through the variety of goodies. We ordered a pistachio cheesecake and an Oreo cookie cheesecake- both were divine. The atmosphere was vibrant and the place was clean. Next I would love to make reservations. As a chocolate lover I was so excited to try this place, and i was a bit disappointed because everything i wanted to try was sold out so i had to settle for the Oreo brownie.. Wasn't a big fan of the brownie a little too rich tasting for my liking.. the warm chocolate drizzled on top was ALOT! I enjoyed the white chocolate more than the milk chocolate (I preferred the dessert the next day after it chilled it was fantastic ).. the ice cream was nice and creamy, the gelato was also amazing.. Also tried the crepe pouch and it was surprisingly pretty good the textures of the fruit, brownie, cream and crepe complimented each other well. The atmosphere is intimate and a bit small being that it's not a stand alone place but they do have outside seating , they have menus but you place your order via QR code.. it's best to get a reservation because the place is small and fills quickly. I checked out the chocolate bar tonight and it was absolutely fabulous! I had a cinnamon, white chocolate, hot chocolate, and it was fantastic! And a waffle I got was absolutely beautiful and so delicious. Our servers had smiles on their faces, and it was very clean. They're still doing soft openings and they were out of a few things, but the majority of the menu was there and I will certainly be back. read more
After seeing chocolate bar all over social media, I definitely had to try! I shared the caramel crêpe with my coworker. We both really enjoyed it. I personally did not feel a need for the graham crackers that were included, but it was still a delicious soft crêpe. They have something on the menu for everybody. The space and ambience is delightful and clean and the service was great. They bring your desserts to you. Can't complain perfect place for a sweet tooth. read more
I'm genuinely impressed I must say!! My dad had the idea to come here the day after Christmas with the family and boy were we surprised. This place is great! The customer service is top notch!! The owner Ricky was so friendly and helpful and frequently came to check in on my family. Now let's get into this chocolate....we all agreed this is high quality chocolate and it's damn good! There is no place like this in Jax and it's great. My dad said the volcano cake was 20/10 lol my mom said the brownie was the best she has ever had in her life! And we all agreed the gelato was the smoothest we have had. If you wanna branch out and try something different and exciting then hellllo this is the spot! read more
