They refused to put my ice cream in a to go cup... how insane is that? When ordering I asked if they could make the sundaes togo. They told me they don't do that... I said so everyone who orders has to eat it here? No one can take it to go? I asked if they could just put the ice cream in a cup, or add a lid to avoid melt spillage. They told me no that they would have to charge me for a medium since it's in a medium cup (even though the amount is still that of a small) or offered a flat top lid that clearly does not fit over the ice cream container... I asked if they couldn't just put the same amount of a small in a medium cup - and again they said no. I was so shocked at the lack of ability to do the most simple, and what should be common, of asks. I would had just not ordered and went to Whitts Creamery instead, but I was with my niece who really wanted ice cream. So with no lids, the Ice cream proceeded to melt everywhere on the drive home. The customer service was awful and I would not recommend Dreamette or any of their locations that abide but this extremely silly rule. read more

Went after dinner nearby. Staff was nice. Order at the window/outside. Two small benches, but mostly meant to take to go. Two chocolate shakes and a vanilla pb cup- both enjoyed. One small strawberry cone, chocolate dipped. Good, but not much flavor in the chocolate dip. They do offer a lot more options and flavors. Large variety. read more

The Biscoff ice cream is Absolutely amazing! The service is fast, friendly and fun! We love the walk up store front and the weekly specials.

The young man serving us was super kind and actually gave my husband the suggestion to try the Affogado, which he did. He loved it. I had the vegan vanilla ice cream cone. While I wish there were more vegan options, I can appreciate that they had something for me at least and it was delicious! Fun vibe as well :) read more

Absolutely the best ice cream around. So yummy! The staff is always helpful and friendly. The ice cream is always amazing after a nice dinner out with friends & family. I absolutely love that this small ice cream shop is in such a nondescript little strip mall. It reminds me of my youth. Plus, their portions are generous and the ice cream fantastic! Keep up the good work! I think I'll get my husband to treat me to ice cream tonight! read more

Yummy in my tummy! Great spot to drop in for a quick treat. Service is friendly and quick. Very helpful in suggestions, too. If it's your first time, I'd suggest a kid size. Only because a small isn't as small as you'd expect! Hahaha. But if you're up for the challenge ... eating it all before it melts in the FL heat. Challenge Accepted! Haha. OR i suggest getting it dipped. It will give you some time with the outer shell coating. Hehe. Shared parking lot, so that's nice. Two small benches in front to sit, no tables. So, more of an on-the-go or stand deal. Either way, I say, go check them out! Delicious! read more

Dreamette Atlantic Beach - Yes, this is a small. Haha. I forget what flavor it was. The cashier said it was her favorite and tastes like a Creamsicle. It did! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Atlantic Beach, Florida

Great for so many different flavors of ice cream, and dipped flavor cones. Blizzard type shake prices are a little too expensive for my taste, considering it's just ice cream, and a couple combinations of mix ins. Plus you add in a tip, ouch. $10-$12+. But still a favorite, a blessing to have at the beach and always so friendly! read more

I have wanted to try Dreamette since I was a kid but it was way across town. I was happy when they put one in San Marco, but I was thrilled when they put one off Atlantic Blvd just 7 miles from us!! We finally went today and it was the ice cream of my dreams!! That's no hyperbole! Ok maybe it is, but it was really good and I'll be back!! Hubby had a waffle cone with chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate. I had the same but with chocolate peanut butter swirl ice cream. read more

Not the most vibey location, you sort of have to eat in a parking lot. They also completely forgot to make my girlfriend's ice cream so I was done before she even got hers, I did have to eat fast because it was very hot out and melting, but I did not appreciate them lying and saying "Oh yeah we were making yours next" when they clearly served 5+ people after us and they clearly just forgot. The ice cream itself is good though, would go back. read more

Dreamette, right down Atlantic from our house- welp! John is an ice cream addict, especially for soft serve ice cream! His go to is a dipped cone, but with the summer heat he actually diverted from his swirled soft serve cone and got a butterscotch milkshake instead! This was a shocker. Just like any Dreamette location- they were busy, had a good size line, but moved right through it like pros! I foresee many, many more visits and more than likely- in the near future. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if John starts stopping there on his way home from work! read more

Finally had the chance to take my girls here for a treat. Cute little ice cream shop with a walk up window in a little shopping plaza. Has a totally relaxed/casual/beach vibe. The ladies who worked there were super sweet, friendly, and patient as they waited for us to check out their menu. My daughters went with a strawberry ice cream dipped in cotton candy in a cone, strawberry shortcake waffle with vanilla ice cream, and my friends went with a chocolate shake, banana split, salted caramel dipped cone, and a creamsicle cone. The "small" cones were huge! Everyone was happy and on a sugar high after. They have so many options. So many more times we will have to go back to try everything. Lol This is definitely a sweet place to stop for an after meal dessert or sweet treat. We also ran into so many friends there. It has that loving neighborhood/family feel. **update: took my daughter again because she was "dreaming" of the strawberry shortcake in the waffle cone. Happy to say it was just as delicious as the first time and that service was also the same. Server was patient, friendly, and very welcoming. read more

So excited that Dreamette is back at the beach! The service was fantastic and quick. And what's not to love about dipped cones!! If that's not your speed, they have a ton of options - sundaes, slushies, shakes, banana splits, freezes, floats. And all the flavors combinations seemed limitless. My fave dipped cone flavors are chocolate w toasted coconut or strawberry with chocolate. But tonight, I had serious dipped cone envy---others chose chocolate dipped in peanut butter, coffee dipped in chocolate, and vanilla dipped in birthday cake. Yummmmm! I've been a long time customer of other Dreamettes, and will definitely be a customer at this one, too! read more

A Jacksonville favorite is finally in Atlantic Beach! The location of this Dreamette is fantastic! It's right off Atlantic blvd in a little plaza with plenty of parking. There's a walk up counter for ordering with a large menu outside. The staff working this location were extremely friendly to my toddler and I. We were signing "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!" They dipped his kiddie vanilla cone in chocolate and put it in a cup for us. I decided to get a small serving of the flavor of the week (salted caramel) in a cup. First things first - the portions are very generous for "kiddie" and "small"! Such a great value. The vanilla flavor was wonderful and I really loved the salted caramel! Highly recommend trying out their flavor of the week. They also offer DF options like a rotating dole whip flavor. Can't wait to go back to Dreamette AB! read more

Heads up - Ordered 2 vanilla kids cups with gummy bears - kids cup $3.30 12 gummy's bears $3 - each kids sized cup cost $6.30 . Ridiculous when a small sundae with double the amt of ice cream and a SCOOP of gummy candy also costs $ 6.30 . I questioned the cost and gave them a chance to correct the price and was told they have to charge for a small sundae - ( but without the quantity) At least the young man at the window could have warned us up front . This must have been a mistake ? 3 kids sized treats $17.04 read more

So much ice cream for the money!! In a sketch little strip mall but worth it. Small cone is more than enough. Staff friendly and patient with those deciding on what to order. Many choices of flavors, and add ins, and mix ins for shakes or sundaes. $2 kid cones on Tuesday. Bonus! read more

Friendly service and yummy shakes! One of the only places around that seem to have butterscotch!

Not sure what the hype is about this place. Ordered a large strawberry milkshake and got handed a complete mess with ice cream falling all over the sides of the cup. The strawberries weren't even chopped so it made it impossible to try and drink thru a straw. Threw the entire thing away read more

Went there around 8:30 pm on a Wednesday night with a friend. There was quite a crowd enjoying soft serve ice cream. The seating is outside on park benches. Dreamette is your standard awesome walk up ice cream shop in a small plaza near the beach. Walkable from the ocean to get some cold goodies. Military Family/First Responders Review. Our family of 5 had just finished a day at the beach and we loved the location in Murray Hill, so decided to give this one a try. I'm pregnant and had been craving the blueberry dipped chocolate I'd had prior in Murray Hill. The woman who was there (red hair, freckles and black reading glasses) proceeded to tell me aggressively they "DO NOT DIP CUPS", I looked at my husband, then responded that I didn't want the cup dipped- I wanted a chocolate ice cream dipped in blueberry in a cup and she stuck her head out the window, clapped her hands once and said more loudly, "WE DO NOT DIP CUPS, WE CAN DIP A CONE IN A CUP BUT WE DO NOT DIP CUPS". I had no clue why this women felt the need to yell at me, I was extremely nice and kind. I've never had service like this at any establishment and I asked for a business card, she said we don't have any so then I asked if she had a manager and she says I'm the manager and my family owns this. I said, well that explains the personality and my advice stands what I told her prior: "Some constructive criticism for you and your business, reel back that personality, it is rude, aggressive and too much and comes across as being disrespectful to the customer". She apologized. There was a misunderstanding on my behalf about what flavors they had, so after they informed me they didn't have blueberry, I asked for cotton candy instead. What I received: chocolate ice cream dipped in strawberry on a cone melting down my hand... We left and will never come back. It was the most pretentious, hostile and rudest behavior I've ever encounter- and especially coming from someone who is a manager. That is unacceptable behavior. read more

Most of their items are half the price of what you pay at other ice cream stores. This is a walk up store, there is no dine in. It still attracts quite a crowd and they do a good job of turning the orders out quickly. I love the dipped cone. It's a race against the hot dipped chocolate vs melting soft ice cream. A little nostalgia/old-school, at a price that won't make you feel like you broke the bank. read more

We have been delighted with the quality and variety of this yummy creamy treat. Plus the staff are fun and friendly too. And did I mention the portions are VERY generous? It is very casual and kind of nice because one can socialize with other ice cream lovers if one wishes. If you have not been at DREAMETTES, go soon, but not on Monday as they are closed. read more
