Having a little sweet treat by the beach is almost always a given!…read more It was around $8 for the brownie blitz and at first I was a little wary about the price. But it ended up being pretty worth it in my opinion! The custard is super creamy. And we actually got so much more brownie than I expected. And it was the perfect texture to absorb all the custard as it was melting. It was all super rice, so my bf and I shared one cup, but it still ended up being more than enough for the both of us. And I love that they have some other options, like frozen custard sandwiches and frozen bananas for when you're not in just a frozen custard mood.

They refused to put my ice cream in a to go cup... how insane is that?…read more When ordering I asked if they could make the sundaes togo. They told me they don't do that... I said so everyone who orders has to eat it here? No one can take it to go? I asked if they could just put the ice cream in a cup, or add a lid to avoid melt spillage. They told me no that they would have to charge me for a medium since it's in a medium cup (even though the amount is still that of a small) or offered a flat top lid that clearly does not fit over the ice cream container... I asked if they couldn't just put the same amount of a small in a medium cup - and again they said no. I was so shocked at the lack of ability to do the most simple, and what should be common, of asks. I would had just not ordered and went to Whitts Creamery instead, but I was with my niece who really wanted ice cream. So with no lids, the Ice cream proceeded to melt everywhere on the drive home. The customer service was awful and I would not recommend Dreamette or any of their locations that abide but this extremely silly rule.

We couldn't find many open donut…read moreshops; and my husband said we couldn't get "ordinary" donuts from a grocery store, so we found Lukumades by searching on our phones. It was a little bit of a drive away, near the beach, and there was absolutely no parking on a Friday night. My husband dropped me off and circled while I placed a few to go orders. It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.
