I found this place when asking for matcha recommendations online and i can a 100% say, this matcha is the best i have ever had. The matcha is so smooth, does not taste grassy or bitter. It is just sooooo amazing and i can tell it is great quality ceremonial matcha and i wonder if they sell this because i need it in my life. The strawberry puree tastes so fresh, not sure if it is made in house but it tastes very natural and not overly sweet. I can tell they care about their craft, they make sure the water for the matcha is at the right temp and froth until it is creamy. The ambience here is so nice, i will be back for my matcha before i head to work tomorrow!

Small place. Cashier was nice. Coffee was fine. Not too sweet. But it didn't taste like what I ordered. I got a pb/caramel special one they had. Again , it wasn't bad just plain. And this size wasn't t very big and was almost $10.

I've been trying to get to Hilite Coffee since they opened! My friend/neighbor do for coffee once in a while. I suggested Hilite this time. We were both excited to visit. She ordered an Americano coffee, I ordered a strawberry matcha and we split a cinnamon roll after they warmed it up. It was so delicious, both my iced coffee and the roll. I loved the outdoor and indoor tables. We chose to stay inside, as it was already hot outside. I loved the decor in the shop. Pros:nice owners and helpful Cons:they eventually might need to hang a shade inside in the big window. Laura got hot from the sun and had to scoot over. Recommend? Absolutely.

Highlight is a new coffee shop in the San Marco area ran by a great young gentleman, a lot of the menu has Filipino twist absolutely love their Ube banana Matcha, as well as the strawberry Matcha & pastries are to die for! can't get enough of them...

Went here this past Saturday and I'm so glad that we did. Nestled in San Jose with plenty of parking. Met the owner Nate and he was very friendly and easy to talk to. I ordered the strawberry match and it was on point! They have few seats inside the restaurant that makes you feel homey. Hilite coffee is definitely a great addition to this neighborhood!

HiLite Coffee has truly outdone themselves. I visited Jacksonville for a few days and somehow was drawn to HiLite every single day! Nate and Shannon (the owners) are so unbelievably friendly and inspired by the community and experience they are curating. The coffee shop feels inviting, like spending time at your best friend's house. There is lots of natural light and there is a good blend of productivity and social energy. SO! I would recommend this as a place to go to catch up with friends, get ahead on some work, journal, or just meet new people. They had a great selection on their menu! Very unique and distinct flavors. My favorite flavor ended up being anything with the delicious caramel miso syrup (). I LOVED the banana bread matcha latte and the caramel miso latte. I also loved the strawberry matcha latte! OH! And the Afternoon Tea Latte! Let's be honest - I loved everything I tried and I am excited to continue watching them grow. They also had a bakery selection too with homemade poptarts, cookies, and breads/buns. I am counting down the days until I am back in Jacksonville and can go back!

Visited Hilite on their opening weekend. Happy to see the place was packed. The location is adorable and convenient and is one of the only coffee spots in the Miramar neighborhood right off of San Jose. The shop has a mid century modern theme which ties really well into the laid back vibe of the shop. I've followed the owner on social media for awhile and glad to see the shop's success. I ordered a hot Lavender Latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The latte had good flavor but thought the espresso's temperature was lukewarm which wasn't my favorite but I understand opening weekend there a ton of adjustments to make. The pastry selections were limited but the cookie was one of the best I've probably ever had. I hope as they grow they continue adding more seating outside because the patio space is nice. Will be back again. Correction to the above latte mentioned. I looked back at my receipt and had ordered the chocolate covered orange latte not a lavender latte.

Finally made it to @hilitecoffee for their soft opening We tried the Miso Caramel, Peanut Butter Caramel, and Strawberry Matcha Latte--every sip was incredible. And don't even get me started on the pastries the matcha cookie and cardamom buns were chef's kiss. Service was quick and welcoming. Very well lit inside and plenty of seating. Safe to say, this is officially a new go-to coffee spot in San Marco. Can't wait to be back!

I absolutely LOVE Hilite coffee. They serve THE absolute best matcha in Jacksonville! I stand ten toes down on that. Absolute magic whisked into every cup. It's delicious plain or with their homemade syrups and toasted marshmallows added to it. I highly recommend the miso caramel. I prefer mine hot. It feels like a hug for my tummy and my tastebuds..LOL! Seriously, Hilite Coffee makes the most creative drinks. You really should stop by and check them out. The atmosphere is so Duuval It's cozy and swank. Plenty of natural light and unique decor. I love that they also support other small businesses by featuring their products for sale.

HiLite Coffee is one of Jacksonville's newest gems, but this one hits close to home. I've known the owners, longtime friends since the early days of foodie life. Watching them bring HiLite to life has been inspiring. It's more than coffee, it's a dream brewed with heart. If you're in Jax, come by, grab a cup, and support a truly local story.

Wanted to try this place after I saw them all over social media. Let me tell you this a must go to spot! It's a cute place with fun decorations and really good music. Service was perfect! Helped my wife and I navigate the menu and answer any questions. We both got matchas and both of them were delicious! If you like Ube, you have to get it here. The scoop they put in your drink is so good. Paired with the banana miso caramel, amazing, it's the perfect blend of salty, sweet, and umami.

I visited during their soft opening period, but this was a top tier matcha latte! There was actually something wrong with my drink so they refunded me and offered to make me another, which I find to be good customer service. The place was full, so if you want a spot to work, I'd recommend arriving early! My favorite part about the shop is how much natural light comes in from the windows.

Newly opened coffee shop is serving great pastries, breakfast sandwich and some of the best coffee around! Come early before the midday rush to grab a cool and comfy chair to enjoy that . Cheers y'all and support local businesses!

This cake was for my niece's 30th birthday party. We picked up the cake on May 27th, 2024, and paid $50.00. I thought the price was high for a plain vanilla cake with buttercream icing and some strawberries on top, but figured it would be worth it from a bakery. But when we cut the cake at her party, it was truly awful! The cake was so dry and actually had a cornbread texture! And the icing was like paste and tasted terrible! Frankly, it ruined her party as no one could eat it. So, a few weeks later, I posted a review on Google with 2 stars and wrote that the cake was very pretty, but the taste did not match the appearance. The owner replied back, stating they wanted to make it right and for me to stop by and see Mark. I called and left a message on their cake order line that I would be in on Thursday, the 20th. So, on that day, I stopped by, and boy, was that a mistake! I introduced myself to Mark. He said yes, he remembered the review, and he did not get my message that I was coming. I said, "Is this a good time?" He then proceeded to look up a picture of the cake on his phone and said "oh you only paid 50.00 for this cake? I paid 20.00 alone in strawberries!" I was taken aback and said well that is what yall charged me and he said it should have been 100.00! I then nicely described what was wrong with the cake and how it ruined the party, and he says Well you want another cake? And i said no why would I want another bad cake, and that was for a birthday anyway, and I was diabetic, and he continued to argue with me and finally I said why did you say that you wanted to make this right and asked me to come in when you obviously don't want to? And he CONTINUED to argue, doubting my word, asking why i didnt try anything in the bakery before i ordered, asking why I took so long to post the review (it was from 5/27th. My husband was in the hospital and then I was ill so I posted the review on 6/15th, which was not even a month later), AND he continued to.complain about my paying "only" 50.00! Finally I said look I am not going to argue with you, I am the customer! You obviously are not willing to make this right, so I am leaving! He says well I offered you a coupon and.I said yes, and I told you I couldn't eat anything here, and also, I do not trust the quality. And he says well what do you want and I said I would accept a partial refund (25.00), and then he REALLY blew up and yelled, "You underpaid by 50.00 already! It should have been 100.00!" With that, I walked out. Please stay FAR away from this store and this angry, belligerent owner! He is also very dismissive and demeaning towards women!

It seems as if they can make any drink hot or cold. I also added a couple of cookies for $4. I then found a table and settled in with a good book. The staff will call you when your order is ready. The latte was sweet and like sipping a coconut macaron. The cookies were a little hard but all in all a welcome snack. The interior is a little loud due to the high roof and general clutter of a coffee shop.
