Though, I did have a hard time trying to figure out which I liked better.... that or the banana miso caramel latte. Absolutely scrumptious! Not too sweet, nor too salty.... Ask about the inspiration for these flavors. You'll be riveted! Then, I got tempted by the homemade ube banana pudding. It's an ube dream! The staff here is wonderful, too! Stopped in to get some remote work done and grab a matcha as a I saw the drinks here were highly rated. I came in around 10am and it was pretty quick. The inside is cute with floor to ceiling windows making it perfect at any angle for natural lighting. After speaking with the nice guy at the counter, I went with a roasted potato and cheddar quiche with an iced banana caramel matcha latte with almond milk. The matcha here is really premium and has that earthy matcha smell and taste you are looking for. The pigment of the matcha is this gorgeous bright green and is an amazing presentation. The miso caramel stands out to in this drink but a very light and subtle flavor. I didn't really taste any of the banana flavoring. The quiche was the perfect serving size for someone looking for breakfast. The quiche has potatoes layered into the quiche and sliced thinly into the eggs. I really enjoyed this and wish I would've grabbed one of their pastries in the case on my way out. What a great way to kick off my Monday at Hilite Coffee. I will definitely be back for one of their iced matcha lattes and pastries in the future. read more

You can tell a pace will have great coffee when the line is out the door one hour before they close! The vibe is fun. The staff is great and know how to pronounce my name (pretty rare occurrence). We had their hot miso caramel latte, iced peanut butter caramel latte, strawberry matcha, banana pudding matcha, double espresso and chocolate chip cookie. Everything was exceptional! The cookie was humongous and had a rich chocolatey flavor. Both matcha drinks tasted like legit matcha. My miso caramel latte was perfect. And although I didn't get to try the double espresso, my husband reported it was a good espresso . A definite must go to coffee spot! read more

I found this place when asking for matcha recommendations online and i can a 100% say, this matcha is the best i have ever had. The matcha is so smooth, does not taste grassy or bitter. It is just sooooo amazing and i can tell it is great quality ceremonial matcha and i wonder if they sell this because i need it in my life. The strawberry puree tastes so fresh, not sure if it is made in house but it tastes very natural and not overly sweet. I can tell they care about their craft, they make sure the water for the matcha is at the right temp and froth until it is creamy. The ambience here is so nice, i will be back for my matcha before i head to work tomorrow! read more

I've been trying to get to Hilite Coffee since they opened! My friend/neighbor do for coffee once in a while. I suggested Hilite this time. We were both excited to visit. She ordered an Americano coffee, I ordered a strawberry matcha and we split a cinnamon roll after they warmed it up. It was so delicious, both my iced coffee and the roll. I loved the outdoor and indoor tables. We chose to stay inside, as it was already hot outside. I loved the decor in the shop. New cutie coffee shop, with a cute patio. The inside is small but still plenty of place to sit! And very aesthetic. Employees were very kind and informative! Some of their treats are from a local baker and the others are from brew 5 points. The s'mores latte (marshmallow from brew) half sweet was great as well as the cappuccino. Not only have they created an extensive menu full of creative flavors - they also have high quality ingredients, coffee beans, and matcha to excite flavor as the highest level. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now since seeing their drinks posted on Instagram all the time. That Smores latte had been catching my eye the most. I ordered the 12 oz and it comes with a torched caramelized marshmallow. It was well worth it! I also got a cinnamon bun to go and that was delicious as well. Visited Hilite on their opening weekend. Happy to see the place was packed. The location is adorable and convenient and is one of the only coffee spots in the Miramar neighborhood right off of San Jose. The shop has a mid century modern theme which ties really well into the laid back vibe of the shop. I've followed the owner on social media for awhile and glad to see the shop's success. I ordered a hot Lavender Latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The latte had good flavor but thought the espresso's temperature was lukewarm which wasn't my favorite but I understand opening weekend there a ton of adjustments to make. The pastry selections were limited but the cookie was one of the best I've probably ever had. I hope as they grow they continue adding more seating outside because the patio space is nice. There was actually something wrong with my drink so they refunded me and offered to make me another, which I find to be good customer service. It's more of a cinnamon cake/bread loaf texture, but it is delicious if you're in the mood for a sweet treat. I ordered the iced Miso Caramel Latte and the iced S'mores Latte. They both are smooth, and taste like a *REALLY* good coffee. The owner let me try a Banana Miso Caramel (which was their special, but I wanted to start small). Sunday morning coffee date just happened to be the first day Hilite Coffee was fully open! Having done several pop-ups in the weeks leading up to the formal opening, Nate & Shannon have amassed quite the following. Appealing to coffee and tea lovers craving something new, the flavors at this darling coffee shop are inventive & creative. Featuring out-of-the-box latte offerings such as Miso Caramel, Peanut Butter Caramel and Chocolate Covered Orange. Today, we decided to try the Miso Caramel Latte and the S'mores Latte, both hot. Served in actual ceramic coffee cups, they already had my heart! We were also fortunate enough to meet Kayla of Earlybird Bakery, and we decided to try a Cardamom Bun with our lattes. What a fresh take on a bun! The caramelized bottom of this bun is the stuff of dreams! We also purchased a Chocolate Chip cookie, a Dark Chocolate Cherry cookie and a Blueberry Crumble cookie to take home to the family.
