Pricey, But Worth It for the Flavor and Vibe The ice cream was delicious super creamy and packed with flavor. Definitely hit the spot! It was a bit on the pricey side, which is the only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars. The staff were two young teens who brought a lot of energy and spunk to the experience. They were fun, upbeat, and added a great vibe to the visit. All in all, a tasty treat with a lively little team behind the counter!
While staying at a nearby hotel we got a hankering for some ice cream and found this place on Yelp. The parking lot was pretty filled, mostly by adjacent restaurants that share the lot, but we found a stall in the back 40. The two employees working inside were quite friendly and offered us taste tests of the assortment of ice creams they had displayed. The interior was clean and organized. We both elected to try the 6-pack, smaller scoops on a tray. Some we tried were fantastic and others were just so-so. We were provided a frequent customer card, which they stamped, and informed that there were Mayday Ice Cream franchises across Central Florida. We may use the card down the road, but I can't see us filling it up anytime soon to get that free one in the end. We'll see. Overall the ice cream was good, but not necessarily great.
I stopped by Mayday after a Mexican dinner n cut door. Found an amazing ice cream flavor called Lavender Melange. It was truly amazing. It cleansed my palate after the flavorful dinner. It's been a while since I've visited Mayday. Service was great & ambiance was relaxed, though busy. Sorry forgot to take photos. Ice cream looked like it was vanilla. I know I'll be back just for the Lavender sweetness.
Interesting and delicious ice cream options in a great location in the historic San Marco. Despite that I was unsure which flavor to have and had to try a lot of them, the service was very kind and wanted me to have a great experience. I will definitely come more often, the place offers a lot a light and is very inviting.
This Mayday Ice Cream location is in San Marco and you can't miss it! I spotted this biz when we were visiting Aardolf Brewing Company and I knew I had to stop by. I always get ice cream when it's cold so it was kismet that we were right by here. Parking was easy with a lot in the back. This location has a cool architecture, it kind of looks like a lil house on its own. We were able to sample some flavors and I ended up sharing a small scoop with my partner. I got my usual- the aviator with their homemade sprinkles. A great Mayday location!
Totally get the sampler. Worth the price and you get to try 6 scoops.... They have gluten free and nondairy options my
A creative, cutesy little ice cream shop in San Marco? Yes, please! Stopped in on a Thursday night and saw lots of people enjoying Mayday both inside and outside. Shoutout to the one girl working, she managed to not rush anyone and always served up a smile. I felt very welcomed and didn't mind the 10 minute wait to order at all for this reason. I tried the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie ($5.75 for a scoop) and oh was it good. It managed to strike the perfect chord between sweet and warm, and I was very happy with my choice. They also let you try samples too if you're stuck between a few flavors! Also, the sprinkles and galettes (like a waffle cone cookie almost) are free!!! My only recommendation is that there be a flavor card for each kind of ice cream, because there were plenty with no name and I wasn't sure what they even were. The sweet employee asked if we had been before and gave us a punch card when we said we had not. After a certain amount of purchases, you can get any scoop-able ice creams for free, including their flight of 6 mini scoops! Definitely will be back and craving it now after writing this review!
This a wonderful little neighborhood shop. The perfect place to stop with the kids for an after school treat. The employees are always pleasant and you are able to sample as many flavors as you'd like. It's bright and clean inside and outside there's a quaint brick courtyard with plenty of seating and room for the kids to run around a bit after their ice cream. They have an excellent assortment of flavors that's sure to please even the most discriminating palate.
Delicious ice cream with homemade sprinkles, sugar cones, waffle cones & more! Has a wide variety of ice cream, including dairy free and liquor infused (21+ only). Their services always excellent and the establishment is always clean. They have an outdoor pavilion to sit at or you can eat indoors.
My friend and I stopped here for dessert one evening and I'm so glad we did! The shop is super cute, with lots of ice cream esc decor. It also smells sweet and sugary time you hit the door, super enticing! I tried the blueberry toast crunch and it was very creamy and delish. I always just get one scoop and it was a nice serving size. The woman behind the counter was quite nice and patient as we tried a few flavors bedroom picking our fav. Looking forward to another visit the next time I'm in town.
Whenever I travel I have to try ice cream shoppes that we don't have at home. Mayday did not disappoint. There were so many flavors to choose from - and they let you sample them because it's that hard to decide! I was even more impressed when I discovered that an ice cream flight was an option so I didn't have to choose! I ended up with a few booze flavors and some family friendly options. I was dreamy about this the remainder of the trip.
Just recently tried out Mayday in San Marco and really enjoyed! I was pleasantly surprised at both the number of original and staple flavors, as well as seasonal ones. The staff was kind in letting us try out as many samples as we wanted (which we took advantage of), and gave us generous helpings! The ambiance too was inviting, although it's a chain, it still has that small ice cream shop vibe which was fun - so certainly recommend!
We stopped in for dessert after dinner. I ordered the Key Lime Pie Ice Cream on a waffle cone. It was very good! Loved the flavor! They had a lot of flavors to choose from! We also loved they had great parking that was easy to find and close to the shop. Most places in San Marco have signs every where "No Parking" and only for designated stores. read more

Stopped by after a fun field trip to the fair with my daughter, and we decided to end the adventure with ice cream because that's what great days deserve! We found ourselves at Mayday Ice Cream, and it did not disappoint. Such a fun, family-friendly spot with great vibes and even better flavors. The staff were kind and welcoming, even coming by to check in and see which flavor my kid liked best a small gesture that made a big impression. They also have a great outdoor seating area, set up with shade and heating lamps perfect for enjoying a day out no matter the weather. The area's perfect too you've got La Nopalera and Panera Bread right next door, so you can grab lunch, then top it off with some amazing ice cream. For the grown-ups, don't skip the Gillespie's Bourbon Pecan rich, creamy, and a little indulgent in all the right ways. My daughter went for The Wingman two scoops of Coffee & Donuts with Chocolate a winning combo! They also offer an ice cream flight (yes, a flight!) with six mini scoops perfect if you want to get chocolaty wasted in style. Can't wait to come back and work my way through the rest of the menu! read more

I dont have much a of a sweet tooth for candy or baked goods... but for ice cream, thats a different story. I do not go out for ice cream often, so when i do, i splurge. I went with the 6 mini scoop flight. I cannot recall all the flavors, but some of the highlights were the banana pudding, queen salted caramel, coffee and donuts, cookie crush, parent trap and bourbon pecan. It was just delicious. Service was excellent. Unlimited sampling ;). Will be back again in the future. read more

Arguably THE BEST cookies and cream ice cream I have ever had. EVER. Came here on a whim after eating at V Pizza so I was already full and didn't even want dessert. But that ice cream, I tried a sample, and it blew me away. Mayday is crazy good and they are the same company as Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops. The standout again at Mayday, aside from the ice cream, is their pastel color house-made sprinkles they offer for any ice cream you buy. The sprinkles were a delicious vanilla sugar flavor, and I instantly wants more sprinkles. Cannot recommend this place enough, skip eating a practical meal and just have some of their ice cream! @Mayday, please bring your cookies and cream ice cream to Orlando!!! read more

Always a great time getting ice cream at Mayday. You can't beat the flavors and the service is top notch. Thank you Paige and Zach for the friendly service! read more
After a lovely dinner with my girlfriend, we decided to go to Mayday Ice cream to satisfy our hunger for dessert. I must say that I'm so glad we went because the ice cream hit the spot in so many ways. I ordered the Blueberry Toast Crunch and it was amazing. Literally tasted like CinnamonToast Crunch cereal but in ice cream form. I got two scoops with the cookie on the side and that completed my heavenly dessert. While my girlfriend, ordered the Pink Mint Sorbet. She said hers was delightful. I would have to agree with her because she finished hers way before I finished my cone. The waffle cones really gave it that dessert set up and with the cookie it was a nice extra added to the ice cream cone. Their are many flavors I got to sample so Her and I will be back for more flavors! read more
This is a nice spot, but the shopping center it's in is a little weird in terms of parking, with a lot of very aggressive signage all around telling you what not to do. It is an open, glassy shop next to some railroad tracks. They have an impressive flavor selection. I went with their version of mint chip, called mint madness, as well as a vegan chocolate almond milk flavor. The mint flavor had all sorts of mint leaves and cookies thrown in there, but my feeling was that more is not better and I would have preferred to have a less complicated flavor. The almond milk one was the slightest bit grainy in texture, but robust in flavor. Both were good, many others would also have been good. The price for two scoops was quite high, and I wasn't that blown away, but I'm not saying it isn't good. read more
This is my favorite ice cream place for three reasons 1. The location - beautifully nestled between Panera and La Nopalera in San Marco, the outside is just so lovely at night with all the string lights. Perfect for a summer day 2. The flavors - I don't know about you but I love trying different flavors of ice cream. Love the alcoholic options too if you as me ;) 3. The service - top notch. I find that a majority of the workers are quite young yet so polite! I love their bright smiles Mayday ice cream overall has great, quality ice cream! read more
My favorite place for ice cream! We always take our out of town friends to here when they come visit! We've been going since 2018 since we moved here and they all collectively agree that it's one of the best ice cream places! The shop is always so clean, bright, cute, and I love the ice cream shop like aesthetics on the walls. The customer service has always been hit or miss. Sometimes they're really great or other times, they're really average or meh. But none of the time, I've gotten really rude service. What I love about this ice cream shop is that they don't have the usual, traditional flavors like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, etc. They elevate their flavors and make them all in house. They have flavors such as the raja honey (honey with jasmine tea), parent trap (oreos and peanut butter, an ode to the Parent Trap movie), banana pudding (made with actual real bananas and not the artificial flavoring and nilla wafers), coffee and donuts (coffee ice cream with bits of glazed donuts), blueberry toast crunch (blueberry flavored ice cream with cinnamon crunch cereal bits and swirls of the blueberry jam?), key lime pie (with pie crust in it too), cookies and creme overload (cookies and creme but made with a load of oreos), and also alcohol flavored ice cream like bourbon pecan (made with buffalo trace liquor) and watermelon melon sorbet (made with vodka). They have a wide variety of flavors that will satisfy anyone! Their flavors change often so make sure you check out the menu on their Instagram page or their website. They offer sprinkles and a homemade waffle cookie with your ice cream. You can get one scoop, two scoops, or a flight of mini scoops. GET THE SPRINKLES!!!! They make it in house and it's not your traditional sprinkles that are overly sweet and hard and crunchy. Their sprinkles are not too sweet, a nice consistency and texture and very pretty!!! They add a great crunch with your ice cream. The waffle cookie is delicious too and it reminds me of the stoop waffles but not filled. My go to is always a scoop of their ice cream with a waffle cone. They make their cones in house too! I tried the pretzel cone but wasn't a fan as it was salty and too hard for me. I got the banana pudding with a waffle cone last night and it hit the stop! You can taste the chunks of banana and the distinct taste of a traditional banana pudding. The nilla crackers weren't soggy at all and still maintained it's crunchy texture. I was literally eating banana pudding in ice cream form and it made me so happy! Come by and try some of the best ice cream ever! You won't be disappointed. read more
I recently moved to Jacksonville with my wife, and I am quite happy that Mayday Ice Cream is just a short drive away. It's the best ice cream shop I've been to in Jacksonville so far. Great ice cream, immaculately clean shop, and an always friendly and helpful staff. On my most recent visit, my wife and I took my mother who was visiting us from out of town. We stopped in on a Friday night in a brief moment when no one else was in the shop and had the full attention of the staff. My mom ordered a single scoop waffle cone (which is really at least two huge scoops) and had two flavors that she loved (bourbon pecan and caramel apple pie) while my wife and I went for the six flavor ice cream flight comprised of six mini scoops. If you're into variety, the ice cream flight is the way to go (it's about $9, but totally worth it when you're splitting it). The caramel apple pie, cookie crush, and straight strawberry were standouts for me, while my wife was all about Session Chocolate, which is a wonderfully rich ice cream that punches you in the face with chocolateness. Mayday Ice Cream's prices are on the higher end ($5 for a single scoop cone, $9 for the ice cream flight) but the value is totally there. Serving sizes are large, the quality of the ice cream is high, and the shop is amazingly maintained in a nice area of town. If it's a pleasant night, there's a nice courtyard to hang out in, too. Is there cheaper ice cream out there that's also good? Sure. But I've been to my share of hipster ice cream shops that charge the same or more and are nowhere near the experience of Mayday. If you're in the San Marco area and in the mood for high quality ice cream, Mayday is worth the visit. read more
Did it take me almost 5 years to try out Mayday Ice cream after moving to Jacksonville? Yes, it did. Now I wish I had visited sooner. The location in San Marco is super cute inside and out. Their ice cream is creamy and delicious. Don't forget to try the boozy flavors they offer. You won't be disappointed. It was almost $6 for a scoop of ice cream ,on the pricey side, when you can get a gallon for the same price at a grocery store. But there is not a substitute when supporting a local business. They also have ice cream flights for those of us who hate having to pick one flavor! Definitely a must try in San Marco. read more

During COVID, they're not even cleaning tables between customers. The virus is considered "heavy", so if someone with COVID breathes over the table while they are eating, guess where it falls? That's right. On the table. I love the ice cream here, but please DO BETTER to keep customers safe. I won't be back here until I know things changed. read more

Good variety of flavors, great service and good ice cream. Ordered the flight, which comes with 6 flavors of your choice; selected cookie crush, parent trap, the aviator, coffee+donuts, straight strawberry and queen salted caramel. While they were all good, parent trap, the aviator and queen salted caramel were my favorite. read more

Some of the most unique flavors of ice cream! The banana pudding ice cream was fantastic as well as the strawberry lemon! The rest of are party had coffee and had nothing bad to say! The staff was friendly and it was nice and clean inside for it being so busy! read more
I was at my mom's house, getting ready to pick up the nugget after doing some work from home, and my mom said, "I'd really like some ice cream." I remember seeing a Mayday truck in our neighborhood the week before, so I looked up online to see if they deliver. Well what would you know, they do with a $20 minimum. I gave my mom the website and told her to look it over and let me know what she wanted and when I come over the next day we'll place an order. I was so excited to order online and have our ice cream delivered. After looking over their menu, I opted to order the Aviator, my mom ordered the Gillespie's Bourbon Pecan and my sister ordered The Aviator . BTW they also have dairy free options. We placed our order and were also able to leave a tip online, which was a nice feature. We received our order that afternoon and to say I was excited to dig in was an understatement. The Aviator is sweet cream ice cream blended with nutella and Biscoff cookies and hazelnut chunks. Can we say all my favorite things wrapped up into one ice cream? Luckily that day I had some self control and ate a quarter of the pint. This ice cream flavor did not disappoint. It was rich, it was cool, it was creamy, and the cookies and hazelnuts added a nice bite. Pros: -Pints delivered right to your door (order online) -Variety of flavors and options -Delicious ice cream -Delivery available -MayDay also delivers to all 50 states, so you can spread the local love. Cons: -It's a bit pricey, but worth it Tips: If you don't want $20 worth of ice cream for yourself, ask a friend or neighbor to go in on the ordering, so you can hit the $20 minimum. read more
