Quick delish and been around forever. The ugly is my fave and it's always crispy and chocked full of apples. Go early before sell out

I love this place so much!! My favorite donut is just a regular glazed donut, and the donut shoppe has the BEST one in Jax hands down. The service is always so pleasant and everyone there is so nice! It's always clean and tidy too. Remember to bring cash, and they charge flat rates/no tax. The prices have gone up, just like with everything else, but it's worth it especially every once in a while!!

Cash only. So worth it. Donuts are the best in Jax. Employees are really nice. Cute small place if you want to sit inside. Mostly donuts to go. Been here forever. Donuts are amazing.

Give your tastebuds a reason to be thankful this year. The donuts are dreamy. Delicate and perfectly puffed. The flavor is homey and perfect and the icing is the sweet that makes the treat. If I lived closer, these donuts would be my solace for having to wake up and go to work.

Very nice people. They only accept cash but there is an ATM available inside. Really enjoyed the regular glazed and the bavarian cream. I'll be back.

So delicious! Love the atmosphere, their selection, very family style atmosphere, super helpful employees. Loved it!

Always such a delight to visit this Jacksonville staple! We usually go on weekend mornings. Biggest tip there is to make sure you get there before 9:30am or the options will be a little more limited - they sell out quick! They do offer the option of calling the day before to place an order for pick up, and if you have a special occasion, or very specific donuts they you want, then this is the way to go. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Our favorites these days are the chocolate glazed, the blueberry and the cinnamon sugar. The truth is: whatever you choose will be fresh & delicious! Always a delight to visit The Donut Shoppe!

The Donut Shoppe delivers fresh, donuts every time with fast, friendly service. Cash only, but consistently great donuts make this a reliable local go-to.

I love this donut shop -- everything I try is fantastic. Their blueberry cake and strawberry cake donuts are bursting with real fruit flavor and perfectly moist textures. The classic glazed donuts are exceptional: light, pillowy, and with a glossy, perfectly balanced sweetness that keeps me coming back. I'm also obsessed with the coconut donut -- generous, fresh coconut topping and great chew. Friendly service and consistently great quality make this my go-to spot for donuts. Highly recommend!

Yes...The Donuts Shoppe is still putting out some the great donuts. With all the donut shops coming and going. The Donut Shoppe reigns supreme. Yeah times have changed and prices are have gone up. They still put out a great product. And the other customers know it. I went on a Sunday at 9:30 am and the case was almost empty. But they still had a few flavors to choose from. If they are available you must try their Uglies, which are Apple Fritter donuts. DELICIOUS!

My supervisor brought in these donuts for our team so I can't say anything about the location or customer service, but dang these donuts are good!! Amazing flavor, perfect amount of ice cream. Definitely comparable to Krispy Kreme (but better in my opinion!) If you think homemade with love Krispy Kreme, this is it!

The Donut Shoppe is a great choice for old school donuts. The ambiance is pretty straightforward, but it is a donut shop (hence the business name of the Donut Shoppe) and most people are more concerned about the donuts than sitting in some upscale place. The staff was friendly enough and the donuts were a definite good choice for a sugary breakfast or snack. All in all, the Donut Shoppe is a great choice and I would definitely recommend this particular establishment.

Apple Fritters - did I say Apple Fritters???? Well, they call them uglies. But that's okay - They are delightful, plump, fruit filled deliciousness. I can't honestly say what anything else tastes like here as I'm addicted to the uglies, but the donuts I took home for others to share were gobbled up immediately, so there's that!

The Strawberry Crumble donut was the only donut we tried, and it was pretty good, but I'd guess I slightly prefer the (excellent) Krispy Kremes. Our beef (hot dog) kolache was nice, but I don't think it was a great example of type. I've never tried a kolache before, but I can say the hot dog croissant I had at Cruffin & Tea a while back was much better, including the quality of the hot dog. Apple fritters are a favorite, but theirs was enormous, so we couldn't try many things here if we got that, so we saved it for a future visit. The owner also said the cinnamon roll were good, and that's another favorite to try on a future visit. They also had lumpia on this Saturday, but were out of empanadas by the time we got there after noon. Prices were reasonable: $10.81 with tax for the three items. I'd like to try this place again.

It was a little bit of a drive away, near the beach, and there was absolutely no parking on a Friday night. My husband dropped me off and circled while I placed a few to go orders. It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.
