They've got great donuts and the staff is very friendly. I was happy to also realize you could preorder and pay online as well! The donuts are freshly made to order and boy do they have a lot of options! It's one style of base with different toppings but it's a really solid donut. I tried the donut sandwich on my last visit and really enjoyed it as well! I initially heard of Duck Donuts a few months ago while browsing a Jacksonville Facebook group, and immediately bookmarked them when I saw how close they are to my son's house. My first visit was a week or so after my grandson was born, and my son & I popped over to get a dozen of the Halloween seasonal doughnuts. I loved seeing that all of the doughnuts are literally made to order, WHEN ordered! The decorations & toppings are also fun & tasty. Since then (mid October), I've enjoyed sampling from at least 3 dozen doughnuts with no regrets. In fact, on our last visit, we stopped at Duck's Donuts FIRST to pick up a fresh dozen for the weekend. And by "weekend", I really just mean Saturday night & Sunday morning. These doughnuts are so good that I wasn't surprised that only 2 were left when we headed home the next day. Although they are BEST warm & fresh, these doughnuts are also delicious the next day. I know due to the fact that I love my grandkids. If I'm anywhere close to the Duck donuts, and I stop and bring home treats that I will get big hugs and kisses. So here I am, buying a dozen to take home for that reason. The problem is the smell coming from this dozen donuts sitting next to me is overwhelming and all I want to do is open the box. This was the first time I had been here as a friend was saying how great it was. I have to start out by saying a brother and sister duo. Zach and Meg were outstanding! Their sense of humor and how they Tag Team off each other was commendable. Zach is very persuasive and almost got me to buy more than I needed. However, all I had to do is look at my stomach and say no ha ha. The variety is plentiful and I have to say everything was fresh, which was impressive. The lemon pound cake I will say is my favorite donut and I would return just for that! The lemon coconut was very good and my friend absolutely loved the peach donuts that he got. He also complemented the glaze, but I did not try that. He said the salted caramel milkshake was great! But stand this place out is customer service and I want to end with that because that was a true highlight. You walk into a very warm and inviting atmosphere where you're treated like your family and not just someone coming in to buy something. I need to start off by saying that service was stellar, from the greeting we received when we first entered, all the way to when we got our donuts. We tried four different kinds of donuts, and then my wife wanted to get a doughnut with ice cream to eat there, so we did that as well. I would love to tell you that the donuts were fabulous, however, I just can't do that. The flavors were put together very well, the presentation was amazing, but I have to tell you that I didn't really enjoy the underlying doughnut. I love this cute little themed restaurant. It seems like a great place for a outing on the weekends. The donuts were tasty and I really enjoyed the apple cider donut holes. Staff was super friendly. I was super stoked to try this place. After trying a few donuts, I'm not sure what the hype is. Maybe this isn't my style of donut? Maybe it was an off day? I finished my samplings, sadly underwhelmed. I tried the regular maple, maple bacon and the seasonal apple pie. My first reaction was how small they are. Maybe I've been eating parlor donuts too often and now everything looks smaller to me. The donut part was tasty, but personally I don't care for cakey donuts. The frosting had a good maple flavor, but was very gritty and firm. The grittyness was a turn off and felt like I was crunching on sand at the beach. There was plenty of bacon on the maple bacon donut, so well done there. The apple donut was alright. It was a cinnamon donut and the hole was filled with a spoonful of apple pie filling. The filling gave a nice contrast to the cakeyness of the donut. But again, I wasn't feeling this overwhelming love for these donuts. The donuts were fine. I have no desire to eat them again though. I love the donuts here. The donuts are made to order so they're still hot when you pick them up. The store is bright and has a lot of duck donut memorabilia that you can purchase. They also served hot and iced coffee. I opted for the iced lavender coffee, not the best I've ever had, but still pretty good. I do like that they have dozen boxes without more than one of the same donut. I ended up getting the breakfast dozen. lol so good but I definitely regretted how much I ate when I got home.
