    X-tudo burger

5 stars for Brazilicious! Staff was really friendly and informative. The empanadas are pretty big! The sauce that it came with was DELICIOUS. It was like a tzatziki like tasting sauce. The pichana sandwich with the fat on the steak was good! Steak was cooked well and the cheese was a nice touch. The c-tudo burger was over the top! 2 patties, an egg, and bacon. Their rice dishes looked huge and appetizing too!

This food is amazing! I get the steak sandwich and it's delicious. I would definitely suggest giving this place a try.

    A line in Callahan!

We were scouting for a new home and saw a line on a corner in Callahan . Well we know enough to join the locals when they come out in force! We were not disappointed! We had steak and rice dinner as well as a sausage dinner. And the price de resistance was the fried cheese balls! Omg I cannot say enough about those ooey gooey cheese battered and fried into balls. Everything we tried was good but if you happen upon this food truck get those cheese balls!!

Samba Plate with double mashed potatoes, chicken, shrimp, steak over a salad. Black beans and pineapple mint drink
    Jay G.

Brazilicious for dinner yesterday. Had the Samba Plate and I asked for chicken steak and sausage, he repeated chicken shrimp and steak. I corrected him but still ended up with shrimp however that's fine. I asked for no beans since I don't eat them but they didn't want to cut me short so they put it as a side. The food was fresh of the grill, all meats nicely cooked and juicy. The pineapple mint drink was good. I LOVE the fat on the steak.

    French Fries

Every bite was better than the one before. Good quality and value. The best beef empanada I have had in years!!!

    Samba plate

Amazing food and it's nice to be able to order online and just pick up. The steak, chicken, and sausage were flavorful and the the salad was great.

We've been here once before. We really liked it but it's been a while since then. We started with the Pao de Queijo, which is the cheesy bread you usually get at a Brazilian steakhouse. We both love this kind of bread and theirs was fantastic. I ordered the Pinanha Rustica and I am so happy that's what I settled on. I ordered the beef medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The Chimichurri sauce was good but honestly, the beef didn't need the help. The thing that surprised me the most was how much I loved the Biro-Biro Rice as a side. It was a really unique combo of things I've never had together before. I would probably go back and order an entree of just that if they offer it! My wife ordered the Costela Ao Molha Madeira Com Risotto de Parmesao. She really liked how the risotto was super cheesy. She said it actually reminded her of the cheesy bread. The beef short rib was very tender and juicy. She said it was a simple dish that added up to something special. We rarely order dessert but decided to split the Petit Gateau de Doce de Leite. It was so rich, dense and delicious. The pecan ice cream with it was great as well. It was small but enough for us to split. I'm bummed I forgot to get our servers name because he was fantastic. We really need to not go so long between visits because this visit was just as good as the last one. This review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

What really sets this place apart is the personal touch--the chef comes out to greet guests, makes sure everyone is enjoying their meal, and takes the time to get to know his customers. His kindness and passion for the food create a welcoming atmosphere that is hard to find. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and has great vibes, making it perfect for an intimate dining experience. If you're planning to come with a larger group, I would definitely recommend making a reservation. Families with young children will appreciate the thoughtful touches as well. They provide crayons and paper to keep little ones entertained while waiting for their meal. Great food, wonderful hospitality, and a warm atmosphere--I highly recommend this place!

Some of our favorites are the beef ribs (not always available), sweet plantains, green vegetables, picanha, sirloin, chicken lasagna, and chicken breast with bacon. I've been to Salento twice now, so I feel like I got a good sense of what they have to offer…read more I started with the carne empanadas, which came with complimentary chimichurri and hot sauce. They were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and filled with flavorful meat. The sauces paired perfectly with them and made an already great appetizer even better. For my entrée, I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and it did not disappoint. The meats were the star of the plate. Everything was juicy, cooked perfectly, and seasoned just enough without being overpowering. The steak was surprisingly tender despite being well done, with just the right amount of fat. The sausage had a great snap, the egg was perfectly jammy, and the chicharrón was absolutely incredible--crispy, crunchy, and easily one of the best I've had. I didn't try the sweet plantains since I'm not a fan and they couldn't be substituted. The arepa was good, although nothing particularly memorable. The only parts of the meal I wasn't impressed with were the rice, which was a bit too salty for my taste, and the beans, which lacked flavor and were underwhelming. For dessert, I tried both the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. The tiramisu was just okay--it wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out, and I wouldn't order it again. The chocolate cake, however, was outstanding. It was incredibly moist, rich without being overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Salento does an amazing job with their meats, and that's what I'd recommend most. While a couple of the sides and one dessert didn't quite hit the mark for me, the empanadas, Bandeja Paisa, chicharrón, and chocolate cake were all excellent. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The environment is pretty nice and quiet.
