I ordered their oxtail meal with rice & beans and plantains for $12. The oxtail was so delicious-- I could eat a whole pot of it! The meat was flavorful, juicy, and so tender that it fell right off the bone. Just writing this review makes me want to go to its restaurant and order me a pan! SO GOOD. The plantains were a bit of a let-down in that they were dry, but otherwise the meal was great! They're pretty quick getting people's orders out and I probably waited just over 5 minutes to get my food.

The truck was in my work area and I had heard people raving over their smoothies especially the latest one: Pineapple mojito with spinach, pineapple, fresh mint, and coconut water. I had to get one. The photos on FB of the grilled chicken club wrap looked so good that I chose that over the turkey and brie sandwich. You can't go wrong with wanting something as simple as grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and pesto aioli. The wait was pretty short for everything. Someone after me ordered only a smoothie and got that instantaneously. OMG that smoothie is life!!!!! I shoulda ordered several of those! The pineapple and mint masks the spinach so if you don't like drinking veggies or don't like veggies period, this is for you. The wrap tasted so fresh and so and so undoctored up in every way. I opened my to-go box to find my taco wrapped in some foil alongside two crispy, plump egg rolls with some interesting green dipping sauce. I dunked one and took a big bite. Pretty good. Corn, black beans, and onion were all melting and hot inside the toasty, crunchy shell. It was a little mushy, but still had good flavor. I unwrapped the taco to find a pretty soggy affair, though. The tortilla was mushy and the pork, onions, and cojita cheese were thrown together pretty sloppily. Oh well though, it's a taco right? Not exactly white-tablecloth stuff or anything. I took a big bite hoping for fireworks, but what I got was a little more like "hmmph." Hickory-smoked is right. The southern, BBQ flavors of the pork didn't mesh very well with the pickled onions and cilantro in my opinion, and I didn't make it too far into this part of the meal. I will absolutely be back to give Taste Buds another go, but this time was somewhat underwhelming.
