I had very heard of them but after looking them up on Yelp I new we had to stop by on our way out of town. I ordered the Italian Beef Sandwich fully dressed with hot peppers and cheese. For my side I upgraded from the house made chips to the Gorgonzola Chips (100% worth it and recommend). The Italian Beef was amazing and loaded with beef. The mun was a little soggy but that's what your going to get with you get a true Chicago style Italian Beef. You want all those delicious juices. Meals are around $10-$11 for a meal unless you upgrade to a premium side. But still pretty well priced. I can't stress it enough get the Gorgonzola Chips they are amazing and some off the best I have ever had. We will return for sure.

This time as they parked themselves in my work area, it was on. The lady in the truck was cranking out crepes two at a time for a small group of people. I looked over the menu and had a hard time deciding what crepe to get. I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Parisian crepe, with gruyere, ham, and Dijon mustard. She said it was her favorite and went to work on it. In about 5 minutes it was done. She put it in a crepe holder, explained how to eat from it and I was on my way back to the office. I did have to put it in my car's cup holder on the way back as I didn't want to lay it down anywhere and risk the contents spilling out. It was worth the care I took. The crepe while it was good still felt like something was missing from it maybe, another meat or a veggie. But it did it's job and quelled the hunger. I will be back to try other crepes though.

It didn't last long and I felt like most of the filling sunk to the bottom of the Crepe, if you're holding it upright. Yeah yeah it makes sense since gravity is a given, but it didn't even taste like the chocolate touched the edges. Not the largest menu but I like it that way. When the menu is focused on what it specializes in, the food is always better. I've eaten at this truck on multiple occasions and it's delicious every time. I am a bit of a wrap snob with regards to ingredient ratio. I like a balanced portion of each ingredient and the ABC wrap is always perfect portion ratios of bacon, cheese, chicken and avocado with no ingredient over powering another. I love the wrap itself too. Its a garlic herb wrap that I have not been able to find anywhere. It adds such a great flavor. The toast can sometimes come out a little too toasted/dry and can scratch the roof of your mouth but that is common with many toasted sandwiches. Also have had the mozzarella and tomato panini. The owner also said the cinnamon roll were good, and that's another favorite to try on a future visit. They also had lumpia on this Saturday, but were out of empanadas by the time we got there after noon. Prices were reasonable: $10.81 with tax for the three items. I'd like to try this place again.

The flavors were nice and everything was prepared well. However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund. Obviously disappointed (and skeptical of the story) I accepted the refund and went on my way. The short of it is that while I was eggstremly disappointed by the lack of eggs, the burger was quite good and the fries were wonderful. I would have given this experience 4 stars, I can overlook the name thing, but not being able to have any eggs from The Fried Egg food truck left me somewhat disappointed.
