Good food, good amount that you're given for price. Burger was cooked medium well which I'm fine with. The cole slaw is more on the tangy vinegar side and not as sweet as I'd hoped, but still tasty. The BBQ burger listed banana peppers in description, but didn't have any on there. Lots of caramelized onions that made up for it! Cheese fries are an upgrade option for $1, but I didn't receive those so not sure what type of cheese they use on them. Overall it's good. Well, my plans to drink a protein shake for lunch today went kablooey when I saw A Flying Sausage would be in the area. I have frequented them for breakfast many times in the past and can't believe I've never sat down for a review so this is long overdue. First of all, for breakfast this truck does it right. Grits are not just fantastic for a truck but they could give many B&M restaurants a run for their money. #GetTheGrits. Last Friday I went with a breakfast sandwich with sausage - I'm a bacon guy - but if the truck has sausage in the name, I had to do it. Let me say that this sandwich was huge - I was expecting muffin sized but this was more burger-sized. That along with a side of their grits for about $7 and you simply can't be beat. It was an excellent homemade sausage patty so the decision was a good one. For lunch today I was in a hurry so I texted my order in to avoid the wait and opted for a Plain Jane - which is a cheeseburger. Ample sized burger with an included side - I chose collards to reduce my french fry intake - $9. There are some other trucks in town - not the best - that could take a lesson here. The burger was cooked to order and had a flavorful seasoning. The collards were made with smoked turkey and that to me is always a plus. They're baaaaack at Riverplace Tower for breakfast on Fridays! I really love this truck's breakfast options. The bowls are huge and full of freshly made goodness. Home fries are amazing fried chunk potatoes, the grits are creamy and delicious and the topping selection is unending. All of the sausages are made in house. The chicken sausage and waffle breakfast is on point! I usually just get eggs and grits, but any of the meals can easily be both breakfast and lunch. I legitimately don't think you can go wrong with anything you order from their menu. The portion size is going to be generous, the food quality is going to be decent and whether you go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a late night morsel, they've got you covered. Their grits are pretty decent considering how hard it is to find good grits anywhere, let alone from a truck. The breakfast sandwich is colossal. The breakfast cup has a good amount of fruit and a nice quality granola in it. If you love sausage... you will love a flying sausage! The chorizo sausage tacos were delicious and full of meat! The side of southern poutine fries were legit! The Greek lamb salad was delicious- there were 2 cut up sausage links on top and a lot of food, the spinach was fresh and the dressing was delicious. The chicken sausage sliders were my least favorite of the 3, but still good. It was more like a chicken sub vs sliders. Lots of food for minimal price. Would definitely recommend this food truck! I ordered the BBQ burger and it came with a side of fries. I thought the burger was okay, it was too hot though (bottom bun was scorching) lol so I had to eat it with a fork. Fries were pretty greasy. I'll have to give them another shot next time and get a sausage dog. read more

Great food truck! The staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and my breakfast order was quick/very good. I had a sweet tooth this morning, so I ended up ordering the waffles with bananas. I got two waffles for $5. The waffles were drizzled with bananas soaked in a sweet caramelized syrup. I am not exactly sure what the syrup was made up of, but it was great! It was sweet but not too sweet. The waffles were thin and up to par. They also had breakfast burritos, breakfast bowls, omelets, chicken and waffles, biscuits, grits, baked good, etc. There are a variety of options for breakfast and I cant wait to go back and try more from the menu! read more

I went to a food truck event Friday night and I had the pleasure of sampling a little bit of everything from each of the participating food trucks. The star of the event was hands down A Flying Sausage. I ordered the Chorizo tacos and they were our of this world. Packed full of flavor and they came with your choice of four sides, I choose the BBQ baked beans, also delicious. After I was finished I wanted to go and order another even though I was as stuffed as a thanksgiving turkey. The customer service was great and I even ordered the kids hot dog with fries for my son and he ate every last bite (he's a picky eater). I am so happy to have found this food truck!! read more

I was excited to see this pop up as a new option inUber Eats. The name is creative and the food was DELICIOUS. I have remnants of a chorizo breakfast burrito that wouldn't do a picture justice, and there are NO home fries left in this container. They were perfectly crispy and warm and just amazing. Usually chorizo burritos are extremely greasy and don't offer a good ratio of ingredients, but you nailed it and made sure every ingredient in that burrito shined. The gang at Flying Sausage just does breakfast right but you will probably end up skipping lunch because the portions are huge. I'm pretty sure my biscuits and gravy weighed over a lb. OK I have eaten from this truck many times. I will say that they had a rough start in my eyes. I mean the first time I ate from them they needed some help. I offered a few recommendations on how to improve. We have talked many times since then. Now I can say that Thomas did just that the took a lot of advice and used what knowledge he brought out. His sausages are really top notch now. He had some tough casings and now they are like butter. The sausages are plump and juicy. His spice package for each sausage have really improved. The first time that I ate their food was because they were a new truck. I hunt down new trucks cause I'm a stalker that way. Now I will hunt down their truck cause the sausages are that good. They have started serving breakfast now days and I have not really tried it but I will tell you now that I will. I can't wait to try what they have to offer. Very pleasant staff. The chorizo brisket burger and grits were absolutely delicious. I normally don't like warm avocado so I asked if I could have unfried avocado on my burger. The gentleman at the window told me they only had prepped frozen avocado that they batter and fry as ordered. I opted to keep the fried avocado on the burger and am glad I did. Because I was frozen, it wasn't overly warm and mushy and was a great flavor element with the chorizo. Can't wait to try something else on my next visit. read more
