Literally the carnitas meat wasn't even cut. This was a huge chunk that was found mixed in.

Came here a few nights ago with my boyfriend because our neighborhood was having a food truck night! Let me be honest and say I was far from impressed, especially with the prices. The prices on the truck were written with dry erase marker... (this leads us to believe that they change the prices based on the neighborhood/area they are in). I ordered a asada burrito. The burrito was okay, pretty tasteless and there wasn't as much steak as I had hoped for paying $13. My boyfriend ordered the special which was a Carnitas plate. There were huge chunks of meat that hadn't been cut like the other pieces and his beans were so watered down they didnt even have the correct refried beans consistency. He paid $12 for his and wasn't impressed either. Also, the meals came with tortilla chips that look and taste like they came out of a Walmart bag. And the salsa that came with it was very strange and such a little portion that we didn't have enough for our Walmart chips... I will say that the people who own the truck were very kind and we didn't have to wait very long... maybe 10 minutes.

I should have listened to the review but it was lunch time and I didn't feel like driving since they were park right outside the office. My other sign was when the guy asked if it's usually this slow around here. I got the special with came with rice, beans, tacos and some tortilla chips. The flavor was lacking, big time. The shredded chicken taco was terrible. I LOVE me some taco trucks but this one isn't doing it right.

    Quick Mexican in a truck

My job likes to host food trucks in their parking lot. Normally more than one. I picked Mexican...because Mexican is always my #1 choice. Unfortunately they let me down. I was hoping to have some yummy nachos but no so. I ordered the Carne Asada Nachos. You know how you can have someone recipe and make it and then it really doesn't taste the same as the person who normally makes it? Well, that is what happened here. $10 nachos had subpar ingredients, store bought tortilla chips were stale. I wished I took a picture. I won't give up in Mexican but not a fan of this truck. Regarding their service, my friend ordered from one other truck next to it and wanted to order a single taco to try. The staff would not sell a single order. I hope they are able to do better for their next customers.

I love me some Mexican food and in all a out the street food but this was very dissappointing.(I'm from Texas so I know a good taco truck but this one was not it. Paid $13.38 for a Mexican corn which was corn on the cob with some cheese on it and 3 tiny tacos no pica no salsa no nada. They had no beans and it was 12pm at the beginning of lunch. How u gonna be a Mexican food truck with no beans. Seriously. The food was a dry and barely warm and the rice was plain dry and a bit overcooked. I hate to slam a truck but y'all need to get it together l. Un lío caliente

I'm giving them three stars for the corn only Which should be five stars! It was the best street corn I've eaten so far. If you see them around your area, go try their corn! Now for the papusas! I've had papusas and what they served was nothing like what I had before. The price was $7.00 and was not worth it. Now this is why they are not rated higher than three stars. The papusas were dry and the cabbage and carrots garnish was also dry and why did they add dry tortillas chips to the mix? That made it worse! Come on people if you love the papusas you don't know how it is supposed to taste. The best thing they have going is the street corn. I would visit them just to get that.

I looked at the photos before going and they advertised hand made corn tortillas and the option to order a la carte tacos. They wouldn't let me order just 2 tacos, so I had to order 3. They had store bought corn tortillas and tortilla chips. It was a total let down. Just ehh... save your money.

The tacos are awesome and the staff is very friendly!!! I highly recommend you try this truck!!!

Good food. My biggest complaint is the cheese on the nachos needs to be melted more! The Asada Quesadilla were great!

Now like I said I have never been so I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I went with the Chicken + Shrimp Pancit that comes with 6 Lumpia. Do love that pretty much every entree comes with Lumpia but that of course makes sense when you're at the Lumpia Lady. I also asked to add on a Pork Skewer but they were sold which was a bummer but hey should have come earlier. Now the told with tax was $23.50 with tax as well as I tipped so it was a little pricy. After about 10 minutes by food was ready and first thing I noticed this was a heavy bag. Once home I opened the box and it was loaded with food. I will say the first thing I noticed was the shrimp were fried and in every picture I had seen the were grilled which I could see being an issue for some but not for me. The Limpia were fresh and crispy even after being in the box on top of the Pancit. Honestly I understand why they sell the Lumpia in such big sizes here cause you can throw them back. I will say the chicken could have been a little more spiced but still good. I really enjoyed the Pancit and did I mention already that the box was full of it? Great job! Honestly I never normally do this but I was actually able to make 2 menus out of it which is crazy for me. I will for sure come back to the Lumpia Lady and you will not leave hungry.

As I drove into the Bartram clubhouse parking lot, I was happy to see the truck still there. The service window was open, and there were no visible signs indicating that you were closed. I walked up, took a moment to look over the menu, and was ready to place a fairly large order. Unfortunately, before I could say a word, I was abruptly waved away by a staff member who told me they were closed--in a tone that came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. I completely understand that closing time is closing time, and there may have been circumstances I wasn't aware of. However, customer service doesn't end the moment service stops. A brief, courteous explanation or even a simple apology would have made a big difference in how that interaction felt. Yes, I'm talking about eating at the food truck called On the Fly. Calling it a food truck is in this number, I'm not sure what you would call. It is fabulous. Now let's start off with the negatives, parking is not as easy as it is for most lunch places, but it's really not that bad if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of slots on the street before you get to the restaurant, and if you called ahead and are just picking up then you can park in the reserve lot, where On the Fly is located. Now these spaces are reserved for lawyers going to the courthouse, which is nearby. So you can't park there here all day, but if you're just stopping in for lunch or if you've called ahead or just picking up takeout, then you should be fine. If you're in someone's spot, the first place to look is the restaurant, so just know you may have to move fairly quickly. For me, I like to call in advance, place my order, and then Park in one of the spaces. Then I pick up my food and go and I'm only there for five minutes. Now that that's all out of the way, let's talk about some of the best food that you will have in Jaxonville. On the Fly sauce - I think this is made by a team of leprechauns they keep in the back of the food truck. Because it comes out so fresh, so delicious, and if they sold it by the gallon, I would be numero Uno in buying it. Blue chips - a great starter chips and blue cheese, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Firecracker Sesame seared Tuna - another solid performer, it has some kick to it, although the tuna is always perfectly cooked. Sweet and spicy quesadilla - oh my God, this dishes as close to heaven as I think I will ever get to. The chicken is so tender and put into a tortilla with caramelized onions, banana peppers, and covered in On the Fly sauce. I don't know how but this works so well you cannot imagine.
