However, we only received the two chicken teriyaki. Because of this, we had to request a refund through Uber Eats, which also removed the promotional discount that was applied to the original order. We then had to place a second order for the missing items, which ended up costing more and required leaving another tip for the second driver. Please check your orders in the future. They have a Sweet Mayo sauce that reminds me of the Yum Yum sauce from Kobe's. The service was good. It took 10 minutes to get our food. We spent $53 for 2 people. This place constantly scores low when it comes to customer service and customer appreciation. Although the food may be good, I'm not giving my money to any business that feels entitled. We as customers work hard for our money and should only spend it where it's appreciated. I think it's careless and disrespectful to tell a customer that you'll give them a refund for your careless. I went to the brick and mortar restaurant this evening, made my order at 5:59 PM, and it took until 7:10 PM to get it just before I was ready cancelled my ordered. People in front of me and behind me in line got their food, finished it at the table and left. In fact they ran out of food while I was there. There is no reason why a restaurant should be this slow. I had them dump the food in a box before I left having had enough of being in the store. The food was OK, but the service was horrible. Today, this blue food truck is parked on Beach Blvd just east of Saint John's Bluff and west of 295. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and got 3 fried rice options and were given a buzzer to wait in our car until the food is ready. The two guys running the truck were welcoming and happy to see us. We must have come at a good time as a line of 3-4 other people formed behind us within a couple minutes. My kids loved the sour green apple lemonade which has an electric bright color and pucker that is unlike any other drink I've ever had. Hubs got the chicken teriyaki and I got the cheese burger fried rice which both came with a large portion in a styrofoam container - both of us had enough for 2-3 meals, easily! I didn't catch much of the classic bulgogi flavor because all the sauces were too overpowering for me. It actually reminded me of steak hibachi when the shrimp sauce spills inside of the to-go container. For the sisig, the traditional flavors did shine through, and I found that this one wasn't as saucy as the bulgogi. Loved the hint of lemon. I believe adding a fried egg on top is an option,--so will def be doing that next time since that's how we did it at home. Overall, we did enjoy the flavors. I've been following their page on Instagram for over a year now and every time I see their stories of the short rib fried rice, I wish I could teleport right to the truck. Well since I don't quite know how to teleport, I had to get in my car and drive there myself. I immediately knew I wanted to try the short rib fried rice, so I placed my order at the truck for only $13 and was handed a pager. After about 25 minutes of waiting in my car, the pager buzzed and turned red so I walked up to the window to collect my piping hot box of Fat Boy Fried Rice. I got in my car and was overwhelmed with the rich, sultry smell of the beef and rice. I just couldn't resist it, so I had to take a bite before I even got home! The glaze on the ribs was outstanding, the crispy garlic gives the tender juicy meat a nice texture, the contrast of this was incredible. And the rice was fluffy, rich, but a perfect base. The actual dish itself is not necessarily complex, at the end of the day it is just beef and rice. But the execution of it makes this basic dish turn into a luxury with its elevated yet classic flavors. Fat Boy Fried Rice is truly the essence of street food. Large portions, low prices, and classic dishes turned into luxury plates. They are definitely deserving of their tens of thousands of followers, long line, and recognition from the community. I saw that Fatboy Fried Rice has a Westside location. I pulled up to the parking lot (it's a tire company lot) there was room for parking & close to the truck. I waited in line to order, it wasn't to long of a wait. I was given a pager to be called once my order was up. I was skeptical when handed the pager because that usually indicates a lengthy wait time. Not the case here, a couple ordered in front of me and a woman ordered after me. We were called right around the same time to retrieve our food. I got the shirt ribs. They were packed with flavor, a bit to much of you ask me. I did add an egg to my order, that helped mellow out some of the salty flavor. I was expected great things for the rice ( I love rice, of any kind) it was just regular nothing spectacular about it, maybe it's because the meat is so strong in seasoning. The short ribs were cooked well. There was sauce given with the order as well. Again not needed because the salt/seasoning content was already on 12. I'm just glad I didn't get a dish that came with the sauce poured over it. The staff was pleasant. I would suggest getting all sauces on the side of possible. read more

TL:DR Food okay BUT expensive, service needs tons of improvement I've been here twice. And both times not a great first impression and now second. The first time I went ordered, maybe one other car in the parking lot. I waited over an hour. They said there's a bunch of people who ordered before me and online orders (which I didn't know was an option). Ordered bulgogi fried rice and chicken fried rice. I enjoyed bulgogi, but the chicken was dry. Bulgogi tasted well, not your typical bulgogi but well enough. They had a version of yum/shrimp sauce and this sweet gochujang. It was the sauce that made it. Meat portion was okay. Not a lot. It was more rice than protein but I guess it comes with the name I guess. Fast forward. After learning they have online order. Just know that if you order online. Grubhub charges more than the would in person. An extra $2 per item. Ie. I ordered bulgogi with extra meat. That was an additional $4. On top of the $16 they already charge and $8 for extra meat. I placed the order online, ran an errand and went to pick up food. It was over an hour by the time I got there. There was one customer parking, another employee outside sitting by his Toyota truck, another employee standing outside the food truck smoking(?). So it didn't seem busy. I gave my name. He couldn't find it (with an attitude, mind you). Then finally found and said our internet/system was down and we're trying to get caught up with orders and we're behind. That's it's 'going to be a little'. I asked "what's a little?" He said another 15-30 minutes. Rather than saying we'll move you up, or offer to expedite or offer anything. He did nothing. The only thing he 'offered'..... 'well we can just give you a refund?' I took the money and left. So that's it for me. I gave a valiant effort. So yes. The food is decent. But the service, what you read/heard is true. Horrid. Sorry. I'll just spend my hard earned money elsewhere for their price and service. read more
