I like this food truck a lot. I would say it would be a five stars place, however I feel like the portions are a little skimpy. This is the second time ordering a 2 meat combo. I felt like this time around the protein portion was less, and not only that, I just noticed that a drink was supposed to be included, but I was not informed about it on both occasions. Today they were at the Puerto Rico Food Truck Takeover and I heard they were not allowed to sell drinks. While I understand this is out of their control, it seems like the price should be adjusted according. The last time I ordered the Blazin Roll and thought it was really good. This time I went with the Volcano Roll and thought it was ok. The rice could have used some more flavor so I'll stick with the Blazin Roll next time. I believe they are known for their Sushirito but I don't eat raw fish so not something I will ever try. Friendly service, yummy food, but better portions and communication about the combo would have been nice. read more

This truck is blazin' indeed! Sushi from a food truck sounds kind of sketchy, but the Blazin Azn crew consistently deliver big flavors. Sushi burritos are becoming the new fad on the East Coast and I must say, these guys do it right. Like other places that specialize in them, they're extremely difficult to eat, meaning the bottom will fall apart from under you every time. However, the flavors gel together wonderfully. Big chunks of tempura, fish and veggies. The accompanying spicy sauce had my mouth dancing. Just like all other trucks, make sure to keep up with their social media to track them down. We found them at Academy Sports on Atlantic Blvd. last Saturday. They make appearances all over our vastly spread out city. Service from the staff is always polite and friendly. Conveniently located for lunch today, I knew I had to try this food truck based on all the positive reviews from my fellow Yelpers. While I wanted to try the sushi burrito, it will have to wait as opted for the teriyaki chicken combo today. For $9 you get a chicken egg roll, fried rice, chicken teriyaki, and a canned soda or bottled water. Great deal! The girl taking and distributing orders (shoulder length red hair) could've used a little more personality. She didn't even communicate to anyone to get their included drink out of the cooler. We don't need you to be overly bubbly but you are the customer service portion of this establishment and a smile goes a long way. The egg roll was acceptable - not horrible but nothing special. It was served with a shrimp sauce type concoction which complemented it just right. The fried rice had bits of bacon, onion, garlic, and zucchini. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not drowning in sauce which for me was spot on. Portions of rice and chicken made a perfect sized lunch. Blazin Azn has become one of my favorite Jax food trucks. The first time I saw the shrimp tempura burrito in my Yelp feed I bookmarked the biz waiting with excitement and anticipation for my chance to devour that sucker. I was not let down as it was a tad bit better than I imagined it to be. Whenever I order sushi there is a 90% chance that it will have shrimp/tempura so the SUSHI BURRITO SUPREME was a no brainer. Guacamole, cream cheese, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna and mango just naturally has to come together well. Flavorful, fresh [one thing you hope your sushi always is], and tasty. If you don't need something quite so big the Volcano roll is also good. Give Blazin Azn a try if you're in the mood for some boss level sushi. read more

I kept seeing and hearing about a food truck that this thing called a sushi burrito and the photos of it were amazing, a sushi roll the size and width of a burrito and meant to be eaten like one. I had to have it. Luckily for me, they were in my area for lunch so off I went. The everything on the menu sounded awesome but I only wanted one thing. Well, two things. I ordered a limeade which was made just the way I like it, "sweet tea"-sweet. The burrito didn't take long to prepare and it was in my hands in about 5 mins. I thought about grabbing some shrimp sauce but I figured I'd not drown it on my first time so I can taste everything. From reading the past reviews it seems that they change their sushi burrito ingredients. This one had spicy tuna, cream cheese, cucumber, guacamole, and krab salad. Yes, krab with a k. No matter, because it was amazing. I was nice and full after that. I'd gladly return to this truck. read more

Considering the portion you get vs. the price you pay, you don't get a whole lot of bang for your buck. I wouldn't say that the meal is anything above great, however it is tasty and is served up pretty quickly. The staff working the truck is nice and I'm glad the guy that handed me the food mentioned to grab a drink otherwise I would have not known. I decided to go with the Teriyaki chicken and steak. It came with fried rice, an egg roll, shrimp sauce and a drink for a cool $12. I did not get full of my meal but I was good enough for lunch. read more

Ordered the beef teriyaki combo and it took 13 minutes to get, even though there were only two people in front of me -the wait wasn't really the issue for me. It was the fact that about half of the beef itself was so hard and chewy that it was inedible, and I am not exaggerating here. The rice was delicous, the eggroll tasted good enough but was tiny tiny tiny, like 1/3rd size of a skimpy lumpia roll. For eleven bucks, I will pass. read more

I absolutely love this food truck! Stopped when they were at Academy for the Puerto Rico supply drive and LOVED IT! I had the fried rice combo with 2 meats (beef and shrimp) and it came with an egg roll and this yummy dipping sauce . First let me tell you this... whatever they suggest , get because you cannot go wrong at all! The gentleman suggested the 2 meat with friend rice and it was PHENOMENAL! The meat was cook perfect and was juicy and very flavorful, the rice was OMG! I absolutely have never had fried rice that made me upset that I ate it too quickly !!!!! I love all things eggroll/ spring roll/lumpia, theirs is so good, but you have to dip it in the sauce ! I think I'm going to just try their entire menu each time I visit ! Love it ! Keep up the great work! Oh also, the staff is so friendly , they were full of smiles and very welcoming! Good food with great personalities! Well the fact that I have been drooling over sushi burritos for some time now, patiently waiting for my chance to take a bite into a giant sushi roll of goodness.... is probably going to make this review a tad bit biased. But for being my first experience with sushi burritos I will say I was impressed. I ordered the Sushi Burrito Supreme(no cream cheese), because go big, or go home, right? It has almost everything I love in life combined into one roll... Shrimp, tuna, guac (basic lol), mango, jalapenos...Mmm. Anything with pineapple and jalapenos, and I'm in. I had no plans for lunch to stop for lunch but after realizing that Blazin Azn is the food truck with a sushi burrito, I had to check it out. They were part of a small group of food trucks near my house on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a sushi burrito (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, mango, guacamole, and pickled jalapeno) and a limeade. I can't lie, despite the positive reviews, I was super nervous to eat sushi from a food truck. Fortunately Blazin Azn proved me wrong. The sushi burrito was really delicious. I didn't love the inclusion of mango (honestly, I very rarely like fruit in anything savory) but the other flavors were on point. I ordered the teriyaki chicken combo and it was some of the best sauce and flavoring that I have experienced. The guys in the truck were great with helping people who were on the fence about what to choose. The food came out hot, fast and fresh which isn't always easy to do. I love love love this truck. I don't care what happening or what the food plans are, when I see this truck this is the meal plan. I usually get the chicken teriyaki combo with fried rice, egg roll, cucumber salad, and chicken. I've also tried the tempura shrimp. This usually all very filling. I stopped at this food truck while it was parked in Hemming Plaza June 2018. I ordered the Korean chicken meal (special of the day). It was $11.00 so I figured it would be a lot of food. I was mistaken. The fried rice with chicken was a 3 for flavor and quantity. I love Koean food and it had too much teriyaki IMO. The cucumber salad was a 3 for flavor, but lacking in quantity. The eggroll was a pre frozen heavily breaded mass produced type I rate that a 1. The Korean sauce was nothing special a 2. I can't figure out why food trucks seem to be so expensive at Hemming Plaza. But I would only pay $7 for this meal at a brick and mortar restaurant. read more

Not enough courage to try sushi from a food truck... maybe next time. Got the two meat teriyaki combo and my first impression was "dang, $12 for this". I think I was expecting to see the meat in the separate sections of the container ( of how you've corrupted my mind panda...should have checked yelp first). The containers are old school styrofoam so they are pretty deep and you get more that what you think at first glance. I will say the fried rice was very tasty, especially once you add the sauce. Chicken was tender and juicy (hate the word moist... hate that I typed it right there also), steak was a little tough and somewhat chewy. The egg roll was cold... but luckily I was at home and was able to put it in the toaster oven to heat up. Nice flavors, may indulge again but I suggest you try the joint at least once. read more

This was the best food truck I have eaten from by far! I had the shrimp poke box and it was truly amazing. I hate it when served shrimp with the tails still on and you have pull them off so imagine my surprise when they all were tail-less already. The seasoning was perfect, not overpowering the taste of the shrimp but complimentary. The shrimp sauce tasted great and was not watery or overly sweet. The sushi rice was delicious also; it wasn't too soft, too sticky and cooked just right. A good crispy egg roll and cucumber salad made a perfect dish that much better. All this came with a soda/water for $10! This dish was so good that if I had not decided to cut back on my eating the prior week I would have went back and got another serving for lunch the next day! read more

I was so excited to see a food truck that had sushi!! I think it's an amazing concept and I couldn't wait to try some of their menu items. I happened to be at the Town Center during lunch so I decided to stop by. I got the two meat teriyaki combo- I choose steak and shrimp. It also came with a chicken egg roll. The egg roll was delicious and I ate it right up. Unfortunately the rest of the meal was not. The steak was so overcooked, it was dry. The shrimp was also overcooked. The rice was so full of bacon (I know sounds crazy- too much bacon) that it completely overpowered everything else in the dish. In my opinion this meal was not with the money. I will be trying them again for sushi, hopefully I have better luck. read more

Had the chicken and shrimp fried rice box. Shrimp and chicken were good. Fried rice was excellent. Plenty of vegetables and even some bacon! Shrimp sauce provided had some nice spicy kick. Egg roll was meh, sure it's just a prepacked frozen one. Would recommend and look forward to seeing this truck again. read more

Just moved to Jacksonville and new to my apartment community and noticed the truck. My husband and I thought to give it a try. The young lady taken orders was very friendly. We ordered steak and shrimp plates which came with rice and a egg roll and soda. I thought it to be extremely bland and the serving for the price I'd expect it to have been a full plate. We paid $25 total and the serving size was skimpy. Overall the taste of the food I would've paid about $5-8.00. Unfortunately we won't be ordering from the truck again. read more

I have been to Blazin Azn a couple times. The Sushirritos and beef terriyaki are my favorites, and this is one of my favorite food trucks! My sisters had the california roll, spicy krab sushirrito and beef terriyaki kids meal!! They were happy campers on Food Truck Friday yesterday! I would've ordered something there yesterday, but I had something waiting for me at home and am working on losing some pounds and not feeding into temptation. Blazin Azn gives you a pretty good sized portion, and they're customer service is fantastic. The owner actually recognized me from when I requested for them to come to our area, which I was pretty shocked. Keep it up, Blazin Azn! I'll be back when I'm at my goal weight, and my sisters will be back too!!! read more

I had heard the hype for a long time. I read all your posts on Yelp and social media. I've been patiently waiting and watching for the perfect opportunity. I looked out for this food truck but just never was able to find a convenient time to "meet up." So I asked myself, what was this so called "sushi burrito:" the sushirito and why did everyone make such a big deal of it? Could it live up to the hype? I can finally put this mystery to rest. The Blazn Azn food truck graced my hood with their presence at our Food Truck Friday night last night and I can't stop thinking about how good it was. The sushirito had spicy tuna, krab salad, tempura shrimp, guacamole, mango, jalapeno, cucumber, cream cheese and Blazn Azn was even able to go light on the rice for me per my special request. I've been wanting to try this truck for a while now and I'm glad I did. Everything was delicious. I ordered the sushirito, which is a sushi burrito with rice, jalapeño, spicy tuna, avocado, mango, shrimp tempura, krab salad, cream cheese and cucumber aka a little bit of everything. It was really good, and most importantly for a sushi burrito, it didn't fall apart as I ate it! That's almost worth five stars on its own. I also ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki, which was delicious, although the shrimp was a little salty. The fried rice really surprised me; it was the best, most well seasoned fried rice I've had in a long time. It was definitely my favorite part of my meal, but everything was great. This is the best food truck I've had in Jacksonville. I haven't had a ton (maybe 10), but I was very impressed. Great prices for the amount of food you get and they even include an egg roll in the combos. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl and the chicken was fresh, tender, and there was just the right amount of sauce--it wasn't overloaded. The rice was nice and fluffy and had a good taste to it that paired well with the chicken. The egg roll had an amazing flavor, but the texture was just a little soggy. It could have been crispier, but I understand the need to keep wait times down, so I'm sure they can't make fresh egg rolls with every order realistically. The wait time was about 10-15 minutes from waiting in line and ordering to getting my food. Overall, I would highly recommend grabbing a bite here on your lunch break. read more

The deluxe sushi burrito is delicious, spices with the jalapeño and sweet from the mango. You can build your own burrito if you want as well. The fried rice isn't your traditional type since it has bacon in it but I absolutely love it as well. Sometimes you want a different take on an old favorite and they definitely have it. read more

My friend and I went to a food truck rally and she mentioned that this place was really good. I got the Blazin and The Shrimp dynamite rolls which were great. Plus they had shrimp sauce (which I love) on top of both rolls and they gave you a side one as well. Prices were like your typical sushi rolls, around $7-$8. They also had sushi burritos, teriyaki bowls, and poke as well. I'd definitely come back again. read more

This truck came to my work today and I was kind of excited because I LOVE Asian food. When I walked up I was kind of surprised to see more a Japanese type menu than Chinese, but I would've been happy either way! The menu was pretty limited but I was happy to see that they had sushi options. Although today I was not in the food sushi, so I settled for the chicken teryaki. The chicken teryaki came with bacon fried rice and an egg roll. Now, I was kind of taken back by the use of bacon fried rice, especially since I don't really care for bacon (insert 'are you even American joke here'). The chicken itself was cooked well and tasted pretty decent, albeit on the peppery side. The rice has a good flavor to it and I was happy that it wasn't overcome with the taste of bacon. The eggroll it comes with was very good and I wouldn't have minded a second one. Lastly, I feel I have to mention the shrimp sauce. The shrimp sauce (or what I assume to be their take on shrimp sauce) was a bright orange color, which I find to be unusual, but I never judge a book by it's cover. I don't really know how to describe what I was tasting. While eating it, it tasted pretty good and nothing unusual popped out to me, until the aftertaste kicked in. I don't know what they put in there sauce, but I just could not get past the aftertaste of that sauce. I was kind of like a siracha type flavor, which I don't exactly like. Overall, I'm not overly impressed. Waited about 10 minutes for the food but I have patience. I was just expecting more and got kind of a mundane experience. Would I eat here again? Maybe if I'm starving and pass by it one day, but I probably won't be going out of my way for it. read more

I had a delicious lunch today from Blazin Azn. I ordered the daily special of Korean style chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The meal was tasty and the chicken was all tender (no fat, no bones = good news!). Everything was seasoned well and I enjoyed it. However I am giving four starts b/c I think for the price there should be more of a veggie component. The veggies were mixed in with the fried rice but I was left with one mushroom piece and two or three zucchini pieces, not ideal. read more

We came in on a Wednesday evening. We asked about the menu and were told at the counter that it was Wing Wednesday and the wings were $1 each. Well how could we not add those onto our order. We ordered a Burnt Ends platter with mac and cheese, and corn nuggets, a Brisket Platter with corn nuggets and beans. We also ordered a large mac for my son and a side of lean brisket. For the wings we ordered the Cajun ranch. Our food started coming out in about 5 minutes. Firstly, I was shocked at the wings. I love wings, but they aren't something I usually order often as I find them just OK. There are only a couple places that I visit specifically for wings. Well, let me tell you, I would make a visit back just for these wings. OMG, the Cajun ranch was simply amazing, really addictive. They were my favorite item. We devoured them. The burnt ends were very good. I appreciate they are big chunks of brisket with no pull pork filler. The flavor was amazing as well and the bits of fat melted in our mouth. The corn nuggets were fine and the Mac N Cheese was quite tasty. We enjoyed the meal so much, were were trying to figure out somewhere for a family lunch the next Sunday and came back again. This time my sister, son and I brought my dad. We of course ordered more wings and burnt ends and brisket with lots of Mac N Cheese. The food really is something special. The wings are absolutely wonderful and the burnt ends are a hit. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants and will always be on my list of visits to enjoy when I come back to Jax.

I will say the first thing I noticed was the shrimp were fried and in every picture I had seen the were grilled which I could see being an issue for some but not for me. The Limpia were fresh and crispy even after being in the box on top of the Pancit. Honestly I understand why they sell the Lumpia in such big sizes here cause you can throw them back. I will say the chicken could have been a little more spiced but still good. I really enjoyed the Pancit and did I mention already that the box was full of it? Great job! Honestly I never normally do this but I was actually able to make 2 menus out of it which is crazy for me. I will for sure come back to the Lumpia Lady and you will not leave hungry.

I completely understand that closing time is closing time, and there may have been circumstances I wasn't aware of. However, customer service doesn't end the moment service stops. A brief, courteous explanation or even a simple apology would have made a big difference in how that interaction felt. I came ready and excited to support your business, but instead left without food and with a very negative impression. As a military veteran who has spent time in Okinawa, I have a deep appreciation for food that brings back meaningful memories, and I make a point to support businesses that offer that connection. I recently sat outside on the patio with my friends and it's usually the same few people that work the restaurant and they are always so nice. I wish I knew better Arabic so that I could actually feel at home. My friends and I ordered a mixed grill family size. Altogether it came out to $174 and when I tell you, it was enough food for a battalion. We all 38 till we rolled around and still had two carry out boxes each for lunch the next day. The meat is grilled to perfection. It tastes delicious and it is not dry whatsoever. The rice is seasoned exactly the right way and just makes you feel like you are at home.

I really wanted - and should've ordered - the Korean hot dog...next time. This place has great customer service and packaging. It's a bit pricey at $20 for what you get or for comparable options, which are within the $15-17 range.

For both the doshirak and the bibimbap I got the bulgogi beef for the protein. On the kimbap I tried the ham. All were excellent. The Doshirak is a cool box filled with banchan - small side dishes, and cooked rice. The banchan include Kimche, Japchae, fried dumplings and some cool desserts. The blogs is excellent and all of the banchan tasted great. I thought the eggplant was a little mushy but the flavor was still really good. Bibimbap flavor was excellent as well. The only downside is that the rice at the bottom doesn't get all crunchy from being cooked at the bottom of the hot bowl. But it was a minor issue to me. And the kimbap was super fresh. The ham wasn't overpowering and it was a nice change from getting role bulgogi in the kimbap as well. The only wish I have is more variation on the proteins for the dishes we got. But the food is super tasty and I look forward to going back to try the fried chicken and well, anything else on the menu. Maybe I'll bring a matchbox car or two to help pass the time while waiting for the food!

I can say this was one of the best meals I have had. My son and I enjoyed all of this. Great job.

Yes, I'm talking about eating at the food truck called On the Fly. Calling it a food truck is in this number, I'm not sure what you would call. It is fabulous. Now let's start off with the negatives, parking is not as easy as it is for most lunch places, but it's really not that bad if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of slots on the street before you get to the restaurant, and if you called ahead and are just picking up then you can park in the reserve lot, where On the Fly is located. Now these spaces are reserved for lawyers going to the courthouse, which is nearby. So you can't park there here all day, but if you're just stopping in for lunch or if you've called ahead or just picking up takeout, then you should be fine. If you're in someone's spot, the first place to look is the restaurant, so just know you may have to move fairly quickly. For me, I like to call in advance, place my order, and then Park in one of the spaces. Then I pick up my food and go and I'm only there for five minutes. Now that that's all out of the way, let's talk about some of the best food that you will have in Jaxonville. On the Fly sauce - I think this is made by a team of leprechauns they keep in the back of the food truck. Because it comes out so fresh, so delicious, and if they sold it by the gallon, I would be numero Uno in buying it. Blue chips - a great starter chips and blue cheese, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Firecracker Sesame seared Tuna - another solid performer, it has some kick to it, although the tuna is always perfectly cooked. Sweet and spicy quesadilla - oh my God, this dishes as close to heaven as I think I will ever get to. The chicken is so tender and put into a tortilla with caramelized onions, banana peppers, and covered in On the Fly sauce. I don't know how but this works so well you cannot imagine. Service 5/5stars Food 10/5 stars Parking 3/5.
