I stopped here around 2 PM and there was no one inside. Obviously on Saturday around this time most people are at brunch, so I took great advantage of the fact that I would be able to have the restaurant to myself. The service was very friendly and nice. I ordered the Pho Bo with cooked beef. It came out less than 10 minutes later. This literally hit the spot for my full day of hanging out at the museum earlier and shopping ahead. The pho was very flavorful and they give you a hearty portion - definitely enough for leftovers. Even though it was so hot that I burnt my tongue, I could not stop slurping the delicious broth. The only thing I did not like about this dish was the fact that there was not enough meat. I do see that on the menu. There's a surcharge for extra meat in the soup, but I do feel like they were a little stingy on the tasty beef in my dish. The sprouts, basil, and jalapeños were fresh and they gave a good portion to add in. Overall, based on the delicious pho and great price I will be back for another visit.

I'm taking off one star because I think they have a problem with their staff. We were only one of a few tables and literally every other table was piled with dishes and no one bussed any of them the whole time we were there. The staff kept walking past dirty tables doing seemingly nothing, coming and going from the kitchen empty handed. I've worked in many restaurants and know this game. It looked like they were all holding out for someone else to do it. I got the impression at least two of them were the owner's kids and the dad who was the chef, owner, manager, etc. wearing all hats was hurriedly shuffling around loudly dragging his floppy shoes and pacing back and forth in a sweat. I thought maybe we just came right after a huge rush and they were all still frazzled. Fair enough. Our waitress was actually quite nice up until I asked if she could help me pack up the pho to go. I just needed help because I didn't want to spill it all over us and she refused saying it's easier if the customer does it because she didn't want to spill it. Well gf, neither do I (!!) that's why I asked, so take it in the back and do it there please, but nope. Flat out refused even when I said I had a problem with that. We left our leftovers on the table like everyone else. Overall I would say go try Nudo because I think the authentic Vietnamese food was worth the drive. But hopefully the restaurant reads this review and considers this... it is a service point to take care of your customers and box up their food, especially if they specifically ask for that. Don't argue and refuse when pressed. It just really got to me after watching all the lazy staff taking breaks, and disappearing, while the stressed out dad was rushing around doing all the work himself and no one was helping out. I personally think there is a laziness issue with the employees from just observing their behavior throughout the whole meal. Again our waitress was very nice up until that last hiccup at the end and the food was good but the place seemed disorganized and dirty with all the empty tables piled up with the carcasses of meals long past. I wish this restaurant the best because IT IS authentic and that's hard to find around here, so don't take my word for it, go see for yourself!

This restaurant has become a local staple throughout the years with its diverse menu and use of fresh ingredients with traditional recipes. The dining room is spacious enough to accommodate large groups, and the bar is perfect for solo diners such as myself. The soft-spoken owner welcomes you like a member of the family and is more than happy to answer any questions and offer suggestions based on your preferences. I always get the Eggrolls to start, filled with chicken, veggies, and served hot and crispy with that appetizing sweet chili sauce on the side. The Pho here is highly regarded amongst regulars for a reason. My go-to is the Large sized #15a, Steak and Meatballs. The fresh veggies are served on the side, so I pile those in and go to work, leaving nothing behind but an empty bowl. Banana Leaf Asian Bistro caters to various dietary preferences, ensuring that every guest can find something to enjoy. They also offer flavorful milk teas, and Boba smoothies, as well as catering for events. From the food to the service, I can't recommend this awesome, local, family-owned business enough. Come here, eat here. Till next time, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always, SYOY!

Everything we had was super tasty! Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately and seated. Our waitress and waiter (we had two) were super sweet, attentive, and cheerful. I missed eating home cooked Vietnamese food so we decided to come and enjoy a meal here. Everything was clean (floors, tables, and bathroom). We had the following: Grilled pork summer rolls: 8.5/10 - fresh, bright, and full of veggies, vermicelli, pork, and a crunchy roll inside. It was so delicious! I love summer rolls and this hit the spot! The peanut dipping sauce went so well with the rolls. I loved how the rolls had so many great textures. Pho dac biet (combination): 7.5/10 - the broth was alot more flavorful and it came with a generous amount of meat (beef balls, sliced beef, tripe) and lots of fresh veggies (lime, cilantro, jalapeno, mint, bean sprouts). Last time when we went, the broth was lacking flavor but now, it's pretty good. Beef combo plate w/rice: 8 - the beef was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor! The lemongrass flavor wasn't strong or overpowering and they give you a good amount of beef. It came with white rice and pickled veggies (daikon, cucumber, and carrots) and fish sauce. Again, super flavorful and I actually cleaned the plate! The only small critique was that I thought the meat was going to be like short ribs and the waitress confirmed it was, but it wasn't. Avocado smoothie: 8/10 - I love avocado smoothies and its hard to find a place that makes it right. Here, it was absolutely perfect! The avocado's flavor really shined. Most places would make it way too sweet and you can't taste the avocado. However, I was able to taste the fresh avocado and the sweetness was on point. Overall, I'm super happy about the improvements and will definitely be coming back! Glad there's an authentic Vietnamese restaurant not too far from us now!

The service was a little mixed though. We had one server who was really on top of things, but then another came over right after trying to take our order too, which got a bit confusing. If you've been around for a while, you probably remember this spot as the old 90s/2000s lunch place. I was hoping they'd update the inside a bit, maybe rearrange or remodel, but it pretty much looks the same, just with a different cuisine now. One downside was cleanliness. The floors and bathroom could definitely use more attention.
