I decided to go here for my birthday dinner and boy was it a good choice! We went on a Saturday night and I definitely recommend making reservations if you're wanting to sit at the hibachi table since it was very busy. I ordered the tofu hibachi, but my party got a variety of seafood and meat. We also got the avocado roll and sweet potato roll as appetizers which were delicious. Everyone was super duper happy! The portion sizes were huge and everything was well seasoned and had great flavor. Our hibachi chef was friendly and personable. He made sure to make me feel extra special on my birthday!

Tried this place out for the first time since I was in riverside area. Came in 30-40mins after they reopened, the place is a hibachi as well a sushi restaurant so that's pretty cool! The service provided by Matt was good. The atmosphere well it's a bit too dark imo. Here's what we tried : Salt and pepper ribs - 7/10 it was good but abit dry, I thought there would be sauce provided for the ribs. Crab rangoons - 8/10 was good but didn't like the sauce Wonton soup - 9/10 flavor was well! Sushi (Philadelphia, rock and roll and spider roll) - 9/10 everything tasted amazing! Overall experience was good! I would definitely go back and try their cocktail menu.

Not the best pic as we had already started eating. This is the St Johns St John River Roll

The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The menu has a great variety, and everything we tried was top-notch. A special shout-out to Diana, who made the experience even better--she was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect dining experience. Highly recommend both the restaurant and asking for Diana as your server!

We stopped in here because my cousin swears by this place. It's right around the corner from the museum. It wasn't busy when we came in but, it did take a while for a server to come. We did sit at the bar so I ended up ordering the Lady blossom. It's kinda like a lemon drop but with lavender and I must say the lavender is a nice touch. It's a decent size place with a handful of hibachi tables. I only ended up ordering some sushi rolls because we had just ate a few hrs before coming. So the one I got was the Jimmy buffet. It was a good roll it came with smoked salmon, cream cheese, krab, and I added asparagus. They don't offer any real crab I wish they did because I would have substituted the imitation stuff out. I would love to try the hibachi so I would stop in again.

Great sushi spot in riverside area. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings. Service was super fast for us even though we had a large party and sat outside in the patio. Parking was a challenge because it was a Friday evening but that was expected. I had the dragon roll, tasted amazing, small portion though, definitely not enough for one person as a entree.

My first time having a dynamite roll outside of wasabi and i was very amazed by the taste. It was cook prefectly, fried hard and the right amout of sauce (you can ask for more). We also ended the night trying the fried cheesecake which was new for me and was intresting new flavor i would try again, but only with ice cream. The place is very nice, clean, and detailed! One side is for dinning while the other is for wasabi (they cook in front of you).

This is such a good spot in a fun location with tons nearby! There are a bunch of restaurants to choose from but we were craving some hibachi. We opted to sit at the table by the bar vs at a hibachi table but it was still fun to see the chefs cooking it up to the groups at hibachi. The food was sooooo good!! The noodles & yum yum sauce are always my favorite. Our waitress was really on top of things always refilling our drinks and checking in on our table. I will definitely be back! Will need to try their sushi next time when I'm not pregnant!

10/10. Got 3 sushi rolls and they were the best we've tried in Jax. The soup and salad were The vegetables were cooked and seasoned very well, and the rice was perfect. The noodles were a little sweet but didn't take away from the rest of the meal. Steak and shrimp was perfection. Will be coming back here MANY times

I truly enjoyed my experience at Kaika. It was lunchtime, we were hungry and we wanted Teppanyaki. I'm so glad we found this restaurant on YELP. The photos had me sold. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Steak, chicken, vegetables, fried rice, soup and salad were superb. The chef had a great sense of humor and a great seasoning hand, garlic and all. We arrived early, had the opportunity to enjoy our own personal chef. Intimate ambiance while we were there... great place to visit. Full bar, with a creative bartender and nice drink menu. I'm going, going, back, back, to Kaika.

Teppanyaki for Friday night date night, yes please! Hubby and I arrived after 7 and only waited about 15 minutes for a group large enough for a table. Once seated, we ordered some krab rangoons since we were starving. These were delicious! Fried well, creamy inside, not heavy on the krab. The sweet & sour dipping sauce was very good. The ginger salad was refreshing. I also really enjoyed the clear onion soup. For our main course, we both ordered the filet mignon. I love when a place gives you rice and noodles instead of making you choose. The fried rice was simple and very tasty but my favorite were the noodles! Our steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Of course, the ginger sauce compliments the steak very well. And you can't forget about the veggies! There's just something about teppanyaki veggies - grilled, flavorful, garlicky. Especially dipped in the yum yum sauce. Our chef was great! Funny and talented. He did an awesome job of entertaining everyone. Great meal and entertainment at Kaika Teppanyaki.

    Lonely Christmas

Yelp really helps when you are in a city that you know little about and are getting to the point where you think you could eat your own arm off. We decided for the sake of time to just get a table and if we wanted anything from the hibachi grill, they will still bring it to you without the big hibachi show that they put on. We started with the mushroom soup, fried dumplings and seaweed salad. I have to say that the mushroom soup was a little disappointing because it only had two very thin sliced mushrooms in the entire bowl but the dumplings were on point. I loved that the filling still had crunch to it and they were very flavorful. The seaweed salad was a little different in that it had red pepper flakes to give it a little kick but it wasn't over powering. For our sushi rolls we got the Lonely Christmas, Jimmy Smith and Angel. The Lonely Christmas comes with fresh jalapenos on it and I removed those right after I took the picture because that is too much heat for me but watch out, if you forget to remove the seeds it will still get ya! All three were very good and we didn't have any left overs.

This is the Ninja roll from Kaika Teppanyaki Asian Fusion. It's a whole fried soft shell crab sushi roll filled with cucumber and oshingo (pickled daikon radish) topped with tuna, salmon, eel, avocado, fish eggs, scallions, eel sauce, and crunchy bits of tempura. It's a masterclass in texture and temperature. Crunchy warm and deep-fried soft shell crab collides with cool fresh soft tuna and salmon. The fish eggs add a bright pop, and the eel sauce a bit of sweetness. All in a single delicious bite.

The food was delicious. Each one of my friends order different items. The drinks were amazing. The Mojitos are made with fresh, mint and margaritas are tasty as well. try the crab meat,rangoon's/wontons. They are very delicious but pretty pricey for 6 small folds.I wish the portion size of the wontons was much larger. That shrimp sauce was good. Soy sauce was not so tasty so I plan to bring my own when I return. I will definitely be returning.

We love dining from Sake House 2 because the staff is genuine and attentive to you. Excellent meals, superior quality and large portion sizes! We eat-in or go through Door Dash. First off all, anyone who has ever lived in Arlington knows that this used to be Grand Asian (Chinese Food). This restaurant is close to Jacksonville University. I remember really enjoying the Chinese food then and I'm glad this restaurant features Asian Fusion options which includes Chinese food favorites. I appreciate that this new restaurant doesn't take away the options available in this area, it just adds on to the existing familiar fare. Merrill Road has its fair share of Chinese food places but I love how there's much more variety here in one location. DRINKS Boba - while I typically omit boba from the milk tea and slush drinks now (avoiding the extra calories), their boba is actually made quite well. It's well cooked, not too hard or extra squishy. Their taro slush is perfect. I tried the Kumquat with lemon as well and it's such a great alternative to plain lemonade on a hot summer day. This comes with lychee and I added popping boba (different from regular boba) which adds another layer of citrus burst in my taste buds. Drinks featured in the photo include: Mango sweet dew, strawberry, Thai tea and jasmine green tea. I was NOT a fan of the Thai tea. It tasted a bit watered down. (I will attempt to order Thai tea at a later date because I cannot let it affect this review of otherwise amazing drinks and food) FOOD: Poke I ordered a poke salad with spicy salmon x2, marinated tuna. Delicious! The poke bowl size is very generous. Price depends on how much protein you get but pretty much unlimited toppings until you get to the avocado and crunchy toppings (max 3). Sauce: teriyaki, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Yum! Ramen (Tonkatsu) This was so good! Presentation threw me off. I later realized that we were given the "to-go" bowl of ramen so everything was not submerged. Makes sense why it looked dry at first. Since we were eating in the restaurant I would have loved to see a real ramen bowl with real chopsticks but these details are insignificant. The ramen broth is so rich in flavor. The tonkatsu pork hit the spot and was well made! The noodles, once soaked in the broth, had a nice smooth texture and absorbed so much good flavor. Pictured but did not try (was told it was good) include Takoyaki (octopus :)) Seating: there's plenty of it! The cushioned seats were much appreciated. Anyone with back pain would definitely appreciate longer conversations & hanging out without feeling like their spine is locking up. Other features: Kiosk for self check out. I really like this!
