We love dining from Sake House 2 because the staff is genuine and attentive to you. Excellent meals, superior quality and large portion sizes! We eat-in or go through Door Dash. They always cook the steak the way you want. If the door dash doesn't allow you to customize the order, you can call the restaurant and they will update and make it the way you want, such as without vegetables or without sesame seeds. Prices are exceptional. Dine-in lunch for Teriyaki ranges from $12-$14, (with chicken teriyaki is $12). Hibachi ranges from $12-$15. Dinner for Teriyaki ranges from $16-$24 (including 2x meat, like chicken and steak $24 and chicken teriyaki being $18. We don't like sushi, but they have an extensive number of sushi and put it on bamboo boat designs for how they serve at the restaurant. It's truly a work of art! read more

I've tried to try this place once before, but there's a strange smell in restaurant that's a bit off-putting. Last time I got a drink but left without eating. Today I stuck it out, and I can confirm you get used to the smell haha! The service was great. My waitress was super sweet. She was really on top of it and had that knack of showing up exactly when you need her and leaving you alone for the rest of it. 10/10. The Sapporo beer was good. I got the spicy tuna roll and the Diablo roll. I LOVED the Diablo roll. The tuna roll was pretty boring- it's about half the size and about half the price. The location of this establishment is where it is winning. It's convenient and it's located in the San Marco area. The hibachi is OK. The sushi is GOODIE. I could say great however ordering through the waiter did take time with the language barrier between some of the staff. Inside the establishment is literally just an Asian style eatery. Definitely need some updates especially for the area it is serving. However, the location is the best for what it does give quick food and it has an excellent lunch menu. I also ordered three rolls. The rainbow roll is my favorite so I'm gonna judge all my sushi based off the rainbow roll but the raw fish (nigiri) is cut perfect and properly. It wasn't too thick so it was filling to eat. I placed a pick up order around 530 on a Friday and it was ready in 10 minutes. It's in a bit of a strange location so parking was tight but there was spaces available. I've now had dinner here a handful of times - always before an event downtown. It's a quick trip over the bridge and I've always been able to walk right in. The rolls are always fresh and the service is good. The specialty rolls are worth the extra. This time was a Godzilla roll and an Angry Dragon roll, as well as a seaweed salad. It came with soup, salad, rice, and noodles. My only complaint is in their wasabi, which was EXTREMELY bright green, not like I've ever seen wasabi before. Sometimes we do take outs from here as well and the service is fast. Ambiance is your typical small Japanese restaurants. If I could give this place zero stars I would! The service was terrible. My boyfriend and I ordered two items, a Teppanyaki dish for him and I ordered a California roll. Four tables came in after us, and I watched them receive all of their food before we got any of ours. And they had ordered way more than we did! One was a party of 8. I finally had to get up and ask the waiter when our food would come out, and he told me that the Teppanyaki dish was ready already, but my roll was not. So we asked him to at least bring out the Teppanyaki dish so my boyfriend could start eating before the food got cold, and I could pick at his plate while I waited for my roll. Two additional tables were seated and served and I still hadn't got my roll, and a California roll is the easiest roll to make! My boyfriend finished his meal, so I told the waiter to take my roll off of our tab. The waiter was not apologetic at all. And when I went to the front to pay for the Teppanyaki dish, I tried to tell another staff member of the issue and poor service I received and he interrupted to tell me "I already took it off. You're not paying for the roll." The proceeds to tell me they had large parties come in and I told him they came in way after us. He didn't care. Our order was executed flawlessly, i love that they cook the steak in butter and I requested no rice or noodles and they generously gave me more veggies. The filet and veggies were cooked perfectly and the portion was worth the money. $27 We also had some rolls, one of which was a specialty roll called Snow White. We requested no mayo, and I can honestly say it is one of the best rolls I have ever had, and that's saying something. I opted for a salmon and avocado roll as well as a tuna and avocado roll. I paid an upgrade charge of $1 for miso soup. Unfortunately, they only offered white rice so I was unable to change the rice to brown. The sushi was dynamite: very fresh and the rolls were delicious. The miso soup was equally as good. The woman who assisted with processing my order was kind and the restaurant was clean. This looked like a happening lunch spot. Sake House 2 is my go to for sushi! I normally only get the fried rolls but my friends are typically a little bit more adventurous with their selections. The wait staff is.......okay. It's nice that they have a small parking lot out front so you can pull in quickly to pick up takeout too! The inside is always busy with business people at lunch time. Inside the place is nice and clean, and the staff..for the most part are friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is... I ordered 3 rolls and a salad. 2 of the rolls I ordered was on the lunch special menu. The waiter didn't say anything and it wasn't until after the food came out that I was told I should look at the lunch special page. The restaurant was very clean which was a plus for me, so I decided to dine in solo. The menu is a little big, but I was able to find a few rolls I wanted to try. This cute little sushi place is located right across from the Strand Apartments and it even has plenty of parking in the lot right in front of the restaurant (so no need to worry about that!)
