I have been to Fusion a couple of times recently and been pleased both times. Friendly service, food doesn't take long considering it's hand prepared, everything is fresh and tasty. I thought I took pictures of our sushi but I just have the avocado ball. It was so good though! Spicy crab salad wrapped in avocado. I will definitely be getting that every time I go from now on. This is my go to neighborhood restaurant. Recently I met my friends; and 4 of us were seated quickly and enjoying our appetizers. I love the fried Shumai. We shared tempura vegetables, Seafood Salad and Edamame as well. I had my favorite Sweet Potato Sushi, and my friends enjoyed theirs also. The menu is reasonably priced; and a coupon from a local magazine sweetened the deal! No pictures this time. It was that good. Love love love! I've ordered from Fusion Sushi multiple times and it's my go-to local sushi spot in Jacksonville now! It's also great that they're on Uber Eats :) I loved the Rocky Mountain Roll with all of the delicious krab on top! I also really liked the Wasabi Roll and the spicy wasabi fish eggs paired with all the different fish. As far as simple rolls go, the Salmon Avocado is my favorite, along with their Salmon Nigiri (can you tell I love salmon?!). Hands down the best sushi spot in town! The staff are always warm and welcoming--they even recognize you and remember your order. I always go for the Monkey Roll and the Green Dragon Roll, both are top-notch. There's also a traditional Japanese dining area if you're looking for a more authentic experience. This was the worst meal I have ever gotten from you folks, tasteless. We live in Lakewood right behind you and have ordered frequently but this was embarrassing. Soup, tasted like seaweed with spinach, fried rice not even close, more like light brown colored white rice. Chicken was cooked but tasteless, shrimp was like rubber bands. We dropped into Fusion Sushi for a late lunch. We hadn't been here in a few years and were excited to come back as our first try we remembered it being good. The restaurant was empty and we were the only patrons at the time. The atmosphere is very peaceful and welcoming. Our server greeted us and got our food and drink orders quickly. One big issue here was once all the food came out, we didn't see our server again for refills for the majority of our meal. If I'm paying for a drink, I definitely want more than one glass. And being the only folks in there, I expected a bit more. A few bites left on our plates and refills arrived. Our food was actually very good. We started out splitting a few appetizers: a spicy Kani salad was very tasty; krab rangoons were hot and had some good flavor; Rock n Roll sushi roll was fresh. Our entrees were the Shrimp Hibachi and Chicken Hibachi, lunch specials. Fried rice and noodles were SO GOOD. My chicken was a little dry which made a few pieces tough to eat. The shrimp we believe might be from frozen and wasn't our preference, but both were seasoned really well. And the shrimp sauce! Shrimp sauce was 10/10 and makes everything better. This place is super cute! Cozy location and yummy reasonable priced food! Located in a super chill plaza so you can be in and out if you need quick service they got your covered. The location's decor was top tier as far as themes go! I loved the way the table was set-up if you're into all the little details like me. Pink Himalayan salt grinders and Peppercorn grinders, was a very nice touch! Well stocked with less sodium and traditional soy sauce, the shrimp sauce was at our table as well to help yourself when we were seated. Our server was attentive, kept our drinks full and just all around nice. Good time because that's what we're all here for right? I throughly enjoyed my sushi! I am a relatively new sushi consumer lol but I have been a seafood lover since my entire existence and the seafood was fresh and cleaned well, it was all just good! The price?!?! This was a lovely server dealing with awful sushi. The server was absolutely wonderful and friendly. I ordered ala carte so it was a $28 plus tip lunch. One bite and I called over the waitress. The sushi rice was hard as a rock. Either under cooked or old and pre shaped and sitting somewhere. They brought me a bowl of rice (warm!) that was slightly better but half of my order was gunkan so I couldn't take it off to eat with the new rice. They suggested next time I get sashimi bc their rice is hard. I've never been before and won't be back. No remake offered- just warm rice or a discount. It was a very weird experience. read more

Fusion Sushi is close to our home and a good place to get a quick meal when we don't want to drive further to our favorite place. We've dined in a couple times and had take out a handful of times. Each time I've ordered, it was ready within 15-20 minutes, is always hot/fresh, and the order has always been correct. Our most recent order was a quick dinner. We ordered some tempura veggies and three rolls, the salmon katsu, the shrimp tempura, and the Jimmy Smith. The veggies were still crispy by the time I got home and I have never had tempura broccoli before. I was a big fan of the assortment of veggies. The sushi rolls were fresh, prepared correctly, and tasty. Plenty of soy and shrimp sauce was included with our meal. Fusion sushi is definitely a great place to grab some sushi. I love this place! I recently found it on Yelp and am so glad I did! I checked out the menu and called in a takeout order the first time I tried it. The woman on the phone was so sweet and answered my couple questions. I was surprised how nice it was when I went in the restaurant to pick up my order. I definitely want to eat in there some time soon. The prices here are the most reasonable I've found in this area. I love that they use large pieces of fish. The salmon especially melts in your mouth. The sushi rolls are large and good quality. My favorite roll that is unique to their restaurant is the Spicy Manhattan Roll $8 - california roll combined with a spicy tuna roll. This roll was huge and was essentially 2 for the price of one without all the extra rice. So good. I also love their unique cold roll $9 - salmon, crab salad, avocado and fish eggs wrapped in cucumber and topped off with ponzu sauce. My other go to is the salmon avocado roll - only $5.75. The ginger salad and miso soup are both consistent too. My boyfriend really enjoyed the takeout chicken terriyaki too. Love the fresh food and friendly staff here. read more

Stopped in here during a rescue event at the pet store next door. Was super starving so I got gyoza and two rolls. I had the Diablo and the Jaguar. Hubby ordered fried rice and a California roll. The rice was a bit bland which was sad. It wasn't bad per se but just didn't have a lot of flavor. The California roll was good but who's isn't? I barely got a photo of the gyoza I ate it so fast! I have no idea what the sauce is they serve with that stuff but it's fantastic! I prefer the fried and theirs was super good! I really enjoyed the Diablo roll. I have no idea what the sauce was on too but it was very tasty. The jaguar was ok but I really preferred the Diablo. I typically love eel but maybe it was a bit off that day. Great lunch today at Fusion Sushi. Staff was very professional and attentive. The restaurant was clean and very appealing on the inside. I met with my friend Colbie and we sat in a very comfortable booth in the middle of the restaurant. It was lunch time so I opted for the lunch portion (before 3pm) Hibachi Shrimp and at 10.95 it was a pretty good deal for the amount of food. Of course I had to splurge and I ordered a chef's choice Sushi Appetizer & a Volcano Roll to pair alongside it with NO regrets as they were both delicious!! My friend ordered a few delicious sushi rolls and some super crispy and fresh Agedashi Tofu. Everything was wonderful. Highlight of my meal was the Sushi Appetizer and the Volcano Roll. Came to Jacksonville today from Tampa to meet my biological mom and aunt and decided to look for lunch. We came upon multiple sushi places and this one seemed the best. Upon walking into the restaurant we were immediately greeted with a warm smile and were seated quickly. We had 7 in our party and they were able to accommodate us. Depending what you get, your order comes with a clear soup, misso or a salad. The clear soup was delicious, not sure what's in it but it's always good no matter where you go. I ordered the Jimmy smith roll and it was out of this world. Never thought cream cheese would go that smooth with sushi. To highlight it all, dipping it in their yum sauce and a little bit of low sodium soy sauce hit the spot. You definitely get the amount you pay for and leave full. One downside that doesn't affect the experience, just I personally didn't like it was the green tea ice creme mochi even though I like normal mochi. Definitely an interesting concept for a frozen desert. Overall I'll definitely be coming back and I recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent sushi. read more

I tried Fusion Sushi for the first time on a lark. I was rather impressed with them. I ordered fried gyoza, a shrimp tempura roll and some tuna and salmon sashimi. They started me with free soup. My choice of clear or miso. The clear was delicious but a little cooler than I like. Next the gyoza arrived and I was surprised to get 8 pieces for only $5. Most places only serve 6 or 4. The dipping sauce was great and just a little vinegary. Then came the sushi. As I'm not a fan of tobiko I asked for it skipped and rather than just serve a naked roll they instead covered the rice with toasted sesame seeds. Quite a welcome addition. The tuna was unremarkable but the salmon was probably the best I've had in 5 years. I will definitely be back. read more

Came here on Friday, just after it opened for a quick meal. We were the only people here but the servers were very slow to respond. The interior is clean and roomy. I was surprised to see there was an actual Japanese serving room off to the side. My friend had the chicken teriyaki lunch (no picture) and he enjoyed it. I had a taste, and it was very flavorful and both the chicken and vegetables were cooked well. The clear soup (something I actually enjoy) was watery, warm (not hot), and tasteless. I had two rolls: California and Jaguar. The California roll was disappointing. I've had better at Publix. On the other hand, the Jaguar roll (eel) was delicious and very flavorful. Ordered several items to go to share as follows: The avocado appetizer, the sweetheart roll, the CCA roll, uni (multiple orders), EA roll, the avocado roll, and another specialty chef roll. The favorites among the group were definitely the uni which was very fresh 5 stars, the EA roll was great although they put way too much eel sauce on it so 4 stars. The CCA roll was good. The chefs roll was good and so was the sweetheart roll. Both rated a 4.5 out of 5. The avocado was fresh and not browned. I wouldn't order the avocado ball appetizer again as it was very dry and there was no sauce on it at all. The best part was the avocado. Overall great service though as well. I'd definitely go back. Try some of their other rolls. Fresh Uni is hard to find and glad they had it. read more
