Please GO HERE,went here for a joint bday celebration with a few friends and was blown away. the food was absolutely AMAZING. When you walk in the decor hits you with sexy I colors of green and black with a dim ambiance we felt like we were at a fancy smacy getaway. We had nigiri all the way to premium rolls and miso soup. All was delicious. My favorite will be the Blood Orange Akami and the Otorro. Our waiter was so nice, funny and very sweet he carefully explained the menu and made modifications if need be . This place is a great date night spot, one of the best Upscale Sushi Restaurant here in Jax.

I think this may be the best restaurant I've been to in Jacksonville. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent and the food was fresh![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For starters we ordered the Coconut King Salmon and the Popping Tuna. Both were delicious but the Coconut King Salmon was my favorite due to its uniqueness! For rolls we ordered The Luxury Roll, Drama Queen, Salmon Maki Roll (HH Menu) and Spicy Tuna Maki Roll (HH Menu). I would order all of them again. The Luxury Roll was extremely rich tasting and the Drama Queen was lighter with a kick. Norikase is now my favorite sushi restaurant in Jax (Oku isn't far behind it). Can't wait to come back!

I went to Norikase with high expectations and had a mixed experience overall. We started with the Kinsei and Don't Break My Heart cocktails, and both were very good -- well balanced and enjoyable. The karaage was also really delicious; crispy, flavorful, and one of the standout dishes of the night. Unfortunately, my dining partner couldn't have any due to a mushroom allergy and the risk of cross contamination in the fryer. They did accommodate us by preparing the hamachi nabe without mushrooms, and for the Luxury Roll they replaced the truffle blue crab with their spicy blue crab to account for the allergy, which was appreciated. That said, the accommodations felt more like basic adjustments rather than going above and beyond, especially for a restaurant at this price point. Speaking of price, while the food was good, some of the pricing left me wondering why people would choose certain items without a special occasion. I can absolutely appreciate quality and creativity, but the value didn't fully match the cost for me. Overall, there were definite highlights, and I'm glad I tried Norikase, but between the allergy limitations and value concerns the experience didn't quite live up to expectations.

First off, Bri, our server, was FANTASTIC! She was super sweet and very attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The actual restaurant is very pretty on the inside and has an intimate atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lighting inside is also super nice and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only problem I had was with the Uni sashimi. The uni was very unpleasant tasting and turned into mush when I tried to pick it up to eat. It was quite unfortunate because I was excited to try it for the first time and was surprised that I didn't like the taste until I looked up what it was supposed to taste like and figured out that I got a bad batch. The Otoro sashimi, however, was delicious!! Super buttery and melted in my mouth. Overall the experience was great except for the Uni. :)

With no doubt one of the top sushi places in Jacksonville! The creativity and attention to detail and flavor in all of the food items was incredible. My favourite was the Luxury roll, but if you are a first timer here you have to also try the surf + turf roll! OMG The service was excellent, funny and making us feel very welcomed at Norikase; big kudos to the staff! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decoration inside the place is like very few places in Jax, it looks upscale but cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You would never go wrong to come here for any special occasion!

Unforgettable 1st Omakase experience to celebrate my 21st Birthday for the 10th time this year! Every course was a tiny work of art. Highlights for me: 9 different nigiri: melt-in-your-mouth and perfectly balanced. Seasonal sashimi flight, delicately sliced & tasted like the ocean in the best way. A warm, salmon, tomato & tamarind -packed miso broth served as last savory dish meal that refreshed the palate for the final bites. ( I however preferred the original mini soup without the touch of sinigang) The pacing was spot on: just enough time to savor each piece while still keeping the excitement for what was next. The chef (Francis I believe) explained the ingredients and origin of each fish with genuine enthusiasm, which added so much to the experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was originally Bento but now had been transformed into modern Japanese sushi restaurant that strikes that sweet spot between upscale and intimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lighting was soft, the counter seating in the private room let us watch the precision knife work up close, and the background music stayed pleasantly low.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]For a birthday dinner, it felt like the perfect combination of luxury and warmth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Price wise, it's definitely a splurge, but every bite makes it worthwhile: Thanks to my hubby! P.s If you're celebrating a special occasion in Jacksonville and love fresh sushi, book the 13 or 17-course omakase at Norikase, you won't regret it!.

Omakase: "I'll leave it up to you", meaning chef's choice Great to experience once to celebrate a special occasion ie birthday, anniversary. Reservations online: $175 per person for 17 course. $75 per person for sake or wine pairing. Automatic 20% service charge plus taxes/fees when booked online. Cancel 72 hours in advance or else $75 per person penalty. Food: one complimentary drink paired with first dish. Everything was very fresh. Sadly, there was no eel. Areas of improvement: when you arrive, you wait a while by the hostess stand to go to the back. I wish they would usher you to the back or patio where they used to give you complimentary champagne while you wait. And they used to take your Polaroid picture by the floral sign after dinner. Would recommend to try it once but this place is not on my rotating list to come back to.

Let me start out by saying that yes, I am a sushi and sake snob (amongst others). This is probably the best sushi place I have ever been to....amd that's saying a lot. The service is a 5 star and the food is Michelin star quality. I was not able to do the omakase (can't imagine how great that is cause my wife does not eat raw. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The presentation and atmosphere is very sophisticated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The person that put everyone together is Emily. She was so attentive and recommends the best dishes and sake. Coming from Southern California we are used to great sushi. However, this place is the epitome of a sushi experience.

Fantastic sushi in Jacksonville. Used to be Bento (red), now repurposed. We didn't try the norikase tasting, but instead had rolls and sashimi samplers. Everything was wonderful and this will definitely be our new go to.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The set up was beautiful and music was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fancy upscale spot with attentive servers that are very descriptive on where certain items came from like what region of Japan the whiskey was from. Presentation was something you'd see off of Chef's table. Love in every bite. Prices were high here. I went to Omikase in Texas and quantity and quality were just as if not better than here at cheaper price. Good experience but be prepared.

Let's start with a $25 fee just for me bringing in my own cake. Then the server didn't even know that truffles were mushrooms which I am very allergic, not helpful in trying to find something I could eat. Don't even get me started on the mess of a checking out that occurred. After closing our tab and running our card they decide because they didn't ring up something correctly to then take longer with our card and refund what they charged then charge more on another check due to their error. That is NOT right and playing with peoples money due to your error is down right WRONG! I wanted to love this place and despite the photos I was able to get, our experience had the lowest amount of professionalism and it would take A LOT of convincing for me to return.

Everything was amazing, I don't have words to explain how good it was, from the service to the food. One of the best restaurants that I've tried.

    Don't Break My Heart cocktail
    Kathryn T.

Norikase was the perfect spot for happy hour with the gals. We worked our way through much of the Kanpai Hour menu & every bite was absolutely delicious! My absolute favorite was the coconut king salmon which I enjoyed with my specialty cocktail, the Don't Break My Heart (haku japanese vodka | yuzu | lychee | strawberry | raspberry | cranberry). The bites we shared -coconut king salmon -crispy brussel sprouts -garlic edamame -jalapeño hamachi -karaage (with yuzu dipping sauce) -madai crudo I loved the entire vibe & service was excellent, especially our main server Leida.

We love dining from Sake House 2 because the staff is genuine and attentive to you. Excellent meals, superior quality and large portion sizes! We eat-in or go through Door Dash. They always cook the steak the way you want. If the door dash doesn't allow you to customize the order, you can call the restaurant and they will update and make it the way you want, such as without vegetables or without sesame seeds. Prices are exceptional. Dine-in lunch for Teriyaki ranges from $12-$14, (with chicken teriyaki is $12). Hibachi ranges from $12-$15. Dinner for Teriyaki ranges from $16-$24 (including 2x meat, like chicken and steak $24 and chicken teriyaki being $18. I got the spicy tuna roll and the Diablo roll. I LOVED the Diablo roll. The tuna roll was pretty boring- it's about half the size and about half the price. They're generous with the tuna, there's just not much going on besides that. So I would definitely recommend getting a specialty roll! Can't wait to try more in the future :)

When I first came in after the remodel I was skeptical, but day after day (hit after hit) Wasabi delivers. The food is AYCE and is made fresh to order. I'm a huge fan of nigiri so this is such a dea. Normally two pieces could easily be 5+ at another location. Don't like sushi? No worries! They have hibachi, tempur, soups, salad, dumplings. This is a great place to take people new to sushi who are discovering their preferences ( please consider the sweet potato sushi, it will be better than you anticipate). Please be warned, there is a price per sushi piece left behind. While I never seen the staff bring down the hammer, it is a clearly written rule. Also, if one person at the table orders AYCE then shares their food you will be charged for two AYCE (which makes sense). The interior is simple but the vibes are immaculate, super laid back and they often give small gifts during certain holidays. The AYCE is approx 16 dollars until 3, their dinner prices increase. Make sure to check their schedules times before heading over. (Try the salmon skin salad)
