Got take out the other night from Yashi and as always it was great. I've ordered take out from Yashi many times over the years and the staff is always friendly and it never disappoints. I miss working down the street so I could get my yashi fix whenever I wanted!
I can't believe I forgot how good this place is! I came back in this week after not having been in at least a year and wow , so good! And the prices are amazing ! I had the hibachi chicken for my first time, which I had no idea came with both noodles, rice, vegetables, soup and a salad ! What a steal! And so good! I also had a spicy salmon role, which was so good! The space is pretty small but it is nice and clean! The service is always nice and quick! P.S. use the menu on their website not on Apple Maps!
Restaurant is great, server is super friendly and fast. Service is on point. However the food isn't great. Sushi is not good. The sushi rice is hard. It's lacking flavors and taste, it's really dry comparing to any other restaurants. I order 3 pieces of salmons sashimi but she gave me salmon over rice instead. The salmon also tastes different from all the restaurants I've been to, it's crunchy. I'm a sushi lover, I eat a lot of raw fish and this feels wrong. The crab Rangoon was super oily and it tastes bitter after. I think they use like an old oil maybe? I don't know but I don't have a great experience with the food. Restaurant and staff are super nice and friendly. So Thank you.

Shoutout to our local community heroes! This is a very peaceful venue. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We ordered hot tea, hot saki, and the dragon boat. We started with salad with ginger dressing and bowls of clear soup. They also offer miso soup. The clear soup was very flavorful and fun to eat with the little crunchy bits of crispy rice. So fun!! The lovely ginger dressing on the salad is always a refreshing way to start a meal. Then the chef finished our dragon boat. It was a lovely presentation and masterfully designed. Kindness, cleanliness, and hospitality were standouts! The fish was of nice quality and the rice was a great texture. We definitely were glad to have such a relaxing experience

I had to go on UberEats to see what they had/what their prices were, and then I called in my order over the phone. I found it strange that they didn't ask me my name or tell me how long the food would take until I specifically asked. When I got there, the restaurant was quaint and not very busy. They asked for my name even though they didn't ever ask for it to begin with which was funny. I was in and out very quickly. I ordered the Spicy Salmon Roll, Yuki Roll, and Salmon Sushi. The Spicy Salmon Roll was good but pretty dry and there was a lot of rice. The Yuki Roll was very good, especially loved the lemon. The Salmon Sushi was some of the most buttery fish I've ever had (and I eat a lot of salmon sushi)! So so good. Overall, the experience was not perfect but I enjoyed my meal at this local sushi restaurant, and I will be returning!

You can tell that they really appreciate your business and value their customers, rather than just looking at you like a dollar sign to put money in their pockets. With so many different sushi places around town, that's something that I find sets them above the rest and makes me want to continue to support them. Favorites: Monster roll - hands down the best! Kani salad roll Yashi roll Lobster roll Bailey roll We always switch it up and have spent a fair amount of time exploring the menu over the years. Honestly, there hasn't been anything that I've ordered and didn't like, and even with rising prices, I still feel like they are reasonably priced. Definite recommend!
Ordered the sushi/sashimi dinner. It tasted pretty fresh. Also ordered the sparkling peach sake. A little sweet for my taste but nice and bubbly. The server was friendly and pretty attentive.

The restaurant is small and quaint but great for the price. I ordered the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail sushi rolls as well as the chicken fried rice (small) and miso soup. All for $32! An absolute deal. Customer service was great. And this was so much food. I couldn't even finish the chicken fried rice. You can't beat the amount of food for the price here.
The service here is always 100%. They treat you like family when you come in. The food is always fresh and made to order. This place never disappoints and the ambiance is not to loud. would recommend 100% always is decently priced.
This was our first visit and we absolutely loved it! We started with the Crab Rangoon (no picture) which came out piping hot. Taste was great. We love Rangoon and Yashi does a great one. We then ordered 4 rolls. We had the volcano, blue coral, pocky and tempa bay. The volcano comes with baked cream cheese and scallops on top (bottom right) and it was a favorite. Overall the sushi was delicious, and service was great! We will be back!
My fiancé and I found this amazing Japanese restaurant by accident! Definitely one of the best places we've eaten at since moving to this side of Florida. Grace (She's in the picture) and Frank took care of us tonight. I'm on a very restrictive diet. The kitchen did amazing job cooking just the way it needed to be done! The prices are also good too! DEFINITELY need to go check them out! Keep in mind it's kinda difficult to see at night!
I wouldn't say the fish is the most fresh I've had, but for the price it's not too bad! Plus the workers are super friendly. I was a big fan of the tropical storm roll since it had pineapple and mango but it was too much fruit for my bf, so maybe it's an acquired taste. But we both were kind of eh about the diablo roll. It was hefty and tasted alright. But it was hot temperature wise which was kind of weird to adjust to. On one hand, it's nice because you know it's freshly fried. But on the other hand, why am I burning my tongue on a piece of sushi. Idk how to feel because I've had fried rolls before and they were never this warm so idk wasn't really my favorite. read more

Ok this place was good, not Blow your pants of good but good I love saki and I love beer and sometimes I love Japan and tonight I get it all.... Bombers and Olympics. Ok The staff was great. I typically come here during my break for takeout on days where I don't have enough time to cook. Previously I've ordered the spicy salmon roll and it was absolutely delectable, the fish was impeccably fresh and high quality but the prices were reasonable! My friend ordered the crab rangoons and the small lomein which was anything but small, I was jealous of his plate! Fast forward to today when I was stuck in rush hour traffic with a growling stomach and had to get to work, I look to my left and what do you know?! The place with the giant lomein and amazing sushi! I placed a to go order that was ready in under 10 minutes and it was some of the best lomein i've ever had, the veggies are fresh (especially the zucchini which is my favorite!), the noodles were thick and starchy (not soggy!) and the shrimp sauce topped it all off! I'll update my review next time when I have time to dine in but I know my next meal is going to be just as great as this one! read more

I was hungry for lunch, so decided to stop in and didn't expect it to be this delicious! The service is amazing and the sushi chefs are very kind! They have a very good variety of sake and fish! It's a very cute Japanese feel... Kind of makes you feel like you're actually in Japan! I'll definitely be back! read more
Absolutely tasty! After months of publix sushi and a craving deeper then the Grand Canyon, my friend brought me over for some hand rolled sushi! Entree to start was goyza steamed were juicy and hot - delicious! Our choices were a variety and each had a flavor unique to the other. Service was respectful and safe; all employees seated their masks and tables and clients were spread out in the building for safe distance. I was surprisingly delighted with the raw roll which I was not expecting to be served in that manner. I had a great sushi experience and for months without it I am so thankful for the little delicious treat we shared! read more

Im not even going to begin on what exactly is in the sushi that I order but I will give you the list of what I order and I promise, you will love it!! I normally only stick to spicy tuna because I'm too scared to branch out but their inexpensive prices make it easy to try new things! While this restaurant is small in size, the waiters and cooks were very proficient at making sure everything came out in a very timely manner. The best part about this place is how relatively inexpensive it is comparatively speaking to other similar style restaurants, allowing for you to get what you'd like without spending a lot of money. One thing I like at this place is their ability to allow up to two additional servings of rice (upon opting out of receiving a soup salad and vegetables) to which I obliged. The portions are what you would expect, and the salmon I ordered tasted fresh which I always hope all my sushi does. This will be a place I would return to satisfy my hibachi cravings. read more

This is a pretty decent sushi place if you're having a craving but don't want to spend a whole lot. It's definitely a step up from Publix, but I wouldn't say it's super amazing either. I got takeout - the service was quick, efficient and friendly. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the Tampa Bay roll. Both had pretty subtle flavors, the spicy tuna didn't have as much of a kick as I'm used to at other places. It definitely needed the soy sauce and ginger for extra flavor. That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to trying a few other rolls from here before making a full judgement. read more
I loved that this place was right beside the hotel. I was ready to go the first night but saw all the trash in the bushes and stuff they threw out their back door. That was an immediate hard pass for me. After staying at the hotel for several days, an employee at the hotel finally talked me into overlooking that, as it was an amazing place. So I finally got brave enough and went. The food was really good and the restaurant on the inside was very clean. The service was friendly yet a little inattentive. The bathroom smelled horrid, needed some serious attention. If they'd put some effort into cleaning up their outside and not propping their door open to the outside from their kitchen, it would definitely be a 5-star. To keep it short and sweet: this is my favorite sushi spot in town and I've been here at least once a week for the last 2-3 years. Somehow it's never crowded and surprisingly quick for sit down service. The staff is great. They literally know what I want to order as soon as I sit down and even bring me my regular sauces haha! I'm very picky and weird with sushi and special order something every time and they always accommodate me! Pretty cheap compared to similar sushi places and great quality every time! Sushi's not it though, their fried rice is my favorite as well- and I often order it takeout. The $8 portion is easily 2 meals. Overall: comfortable relaxed atmosphere and bomb food for your buck. I'll be coming here as long as I live in Jacksonville Update: still 5 stars! Our server literally knows what we want even when we act like we can't decide and want to get something different. He knows I want soy paper no matter what roll I'm ordering, and keeps the sauce coming! These are the things that make me SMILE :-) read more
Where do I start? My experience here was horrible to say the least. The rolls are rolled so small they are smaller than a quarter. The salmon was fishy, the cream cheese was warm, and the salad was wilted and brown in some places. Shall I continue? There was no lunch special and I had to purchase the salad as a side, which if you read above it was not worth it. The interior was older feeling, which is odd thought this was a newer strip. I will not return to yashi, Crazy sushi is just up the street on touchton and is better price quality and service. Read and believe the recent negative reviews. read more

This is my second time visiting Yashi Sushi and they never disappoint! Sushi is so simple, you either make it right or you don't. And this place definitely does it right. And they even give me extra ginger : ) You can dine in or sit on the patio outside if you wanna catch the breeze or some sun rays on a nice day while you dine.
