Our office complex invited us out to this food truck one Friday afternoon. Initially I was going to pass on it but when a coworker who already went said that they had some specials like Bourbon Chicken, I thought hard about it and changed my mind. I hadn't had that in years and I was curious to see what their version would taste like. When I got to the truck they weren't busy at all. I walked up to the truck and ordered. To my surprise, I had the food in my hands in less than 5 minutes while I was dancing to their music being played in the truck. Service was on point. It came with a lot of jasmine rice, broccoli, carrots, and onions. While the food was delicious I personally felt that the chicken to veggie ratio was off some. I had more forkfuls of veggies over the chicken. I still ate it all because I was hungry. I'd check them out if they're in my hood again.

I hate to leave a review like this on a food truck since I love them but our food wasn't very good. Maybe they were having an off night. Who knows? When we looked at the menu it looked right up our alley so we ordered a few things. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Drunken Noodles, and the Yellow Curry with Chicken. Chicken Pad Thai: I was one of the odds Pad Thais I had ever had. The favor was unlike any I had had. It was very oddly sweet. I was also so wet (look at the pictures). I'm never someone who dislikes extra saucy but when the sauce it so sweet and there is so much of it it just over powered everything. Also the chicken is dark meat which my wife wasn't a fan of but I don't mind. The positive it was a large serving. Beef Drunken Noodles: Again the sauce on this we pretty sweet and I asked for it to be spicy. They still though was better then the Pad Thai and I didn't main how wet this dish was as much. My biggest issue was the beef. It was so tough. I haven't had beef this tough in a long time. I honestly can't remember the last time. So maybe stay away from the beef unless you're looking to get a jaw work out. Like the Pad Thai it was a large serving size so if you like it you at least will not go hungry. Yellow Curry with Chicken. The curry had less flavor then most. Maybe it had been watered down but IDK. This dish also had a lot more dark meat chicken then the Pad Thai had as this was the dish Ashley was looking forward too most. Beside that wasn't the best Yellow Curry I have had but and would probably have to go in the bottom tier. Again, maybe they were having an off night. If I order from them again I would probably lean toward their Chinese dishes and hope it's better then the Thai ones.

It took 20 minutes to make the most underwhelming beef and broccoli I've ever had. The broccoli was dry as shit and the meat was greasy as hell. Half of the rice was DRENCHED in sauce and was pretty much mush. And to top it all off all of the sauce ended up outside the box and pooled into the bag leaking everywhere. Overall overpriced as heck and not worth it.

I ordered the pad thai and basil fried rice. The pad thai was bad. Like a lot of bad pad thai, it's extremely oily without any fragrance and has this homogenous color of dark brown muck. They try to plate this by evenly spreading the meager portions of bean sprouts and green onion over the top, but once you start eating it, it's obvious. The noodles are dry. The green onions are cut relatively large, but there's not much of it. I still ate it of course. The small portion of nut and egg also make them not much of a factor. Most of your bites of this will be either just noodle or noodle and the meat. There's no cilantro, pepper, carrot, or anything else that would help. My favorite pad thai in town so far is probably from Thai Orchid on Beach Blvd and Kernan. The basil fried rice fared slightly better, largely due to the obvious inclusion of basil, but also onion, carrots, and broccoli. This is not to say that a dish has to have a ton of veggies to be good, but rather that veggies with a large presence like broccoli are a good counter-weight to the bland oiliness of these entrees. Also, I'd like to note that everything is chopped very large. This is normal for the broccoli and not too uncommon for the oversized carrot slices. But the BBQ pork that I chose are also in giant cubes, which is quite unusual for fried rice. Some of the meat cubes are extremely dry. The egg isn't distributed with any consistency either. Most of the plate has no egg at all, which you can tell just from my pic, then you'll randomly see a big chunk that's like 1/4 of an egg. Oh yeah, I also ordered both dishes at 4 star spiciness. But the basil fried rice wasn't spicy at all. I suppose the pad thai could be considered American 4 stars (maybe Thai 2 1/2 star). But the basil fried rice is like 1 star spicy. Basically a scam. Anyways, talking about this review instead of scovilles now, this is barely 3 stars. If I had only ordered the pad thai, this would be a 2 star review. Regardless, you'll never see me here again.

In my neighborhood we have food truck nights about once a week. This was the first time i decided to give it a try. I LOVE asian food, i'm also pregnant and didn't feel good, definitely not well enough to cook. We ordered chicken teriyaki, the chicken pad thai, and fried rice... once we got home to eat I was instantly let down by the portion sizes.. they were so small I wouldn't even have left overs.. for 3 things we spent 60 dollars.. that's INSANE.. in my opinion it wasn't even edible.. the sauce was great but the chicken alone looked rancid, even my husband who eats EVERYTHING wouldn't eat this. The rice was okay, not much flavor but still didn't eat it because of the chicken and I didn't want to risk anyone in my family getting sick. I ended up taking all the food back to the truck, the employee was very kind.. the owner didn't want to interact with me much.. The interaction was nice, they understood and gave me my money back.. but kept my tip.. which i'm okay with we did just waste food and their time. The only reason i'm giving them a 2 star is because they were kind. they have been getting the same repetitive comments for years and nothing seems to change.. I definitely would not waste my money on this place, and maybe save yourself the food poisioning

I normally love food trucks and maybe this was just an off night but I wasn't very impressed with Jammas Jax. Nothing I ate was really worth the calories. It was almost like they ran out of flavor for all of their dishes. The pad Thai was bland and oily and the other two dishes were just lacking. I don't have too much to say about this place as I only ate one or two bites of my food before throwing it away. I probably won't be back but if I do and have a better experience I will update my review accordingly.

I visited Jammas Jax for the first time when they were at Hemming Plaza on Halloween for lunchtime. The menu includes curries, noodles and a few other things, but I chose the Drunken Noodles listed as the special, which came with a can drink for $10.99. The chicken was good, the flavor was good, and there was plenty. But, for $11 I can get better at some other places and for $7 I can get equally good at plenty of places. It was good enough, but wouldn't keep me returning at the price without being something I can't easily get other places.

I really really wanted to like this truck. I could happily eat some version of Asian cuisine on the daily...and this truck had all the right moves. Ultimately could not deliver. The person taking orders wasn't personable at all...she never cracked a smile and I'm not even sure she said a word to us while we ordered. Strike one. We ordered one Sweet & Sour Chicken with white rice and one Pad Thai with Chicken. It came really fast. Plus one. First, the rice was...tasteless so we mixed it with the sweet&sour...marginally better. The pad Thai was super dry and the chicken tasted like styrofoam. Strike out.

Really great food truck! Just had my meal. Tasty, large portions and a medley of flavors. We ordered the Drunken Noodles & also Pad Thai; chose chicken as the protein for both. This is on par with the excellent Fusion food truck but I dare say bigger portions for Jammas Jax. We also ordered the Crab Rangoon and Spring Rolls. The Spring Rolls were fine but the Crab Rangoons were excellent; stuffed and flavorful. The very appropriately cooked chicken in the entrees hints of smoky flavor. The service was informed, courteous and quick. I will absolutely be patronizing this food truck again, recommend it without hesitation and look forward to its return!

Chicken Teriyaki with Steamed Vegetables and Plain White Rice

I first tried the Jammas Jax at the Wine and Trucks event at the Beach. They have the most affordable meals compared to the other food trucks, so we ordered the meal of the day which was Chicken Teriyaki with rice and vegetables. The portion was enough for two and it was cooked perfectly! The chicken was delicious and we only paid $10.99. Second time we saw them was at the Light Up the Food Trucks at the Southside. I ordered their Chicken Green Curry. We took it home to eat because it was raining so hard. So when we got home and about to take pictures (but of course!) of our dinner (the other meal was from another food truck), the curry does not look appetizing at all! We thought, we should've ordered the chicken teriyaki like the last time! But I was greatly mistaken! It was scrumptious and vey tasty! Creamy but not too thick, a little bit sweet and spicy! But, I would've wanted the onions to be sautéed more coz they were a bit raw, and I don't like raw onions! Overall, if you are craving for good Asian dishes and affordable meals then look no further! Just go and find Jammas Jax!

I really enjoyed the Lomein and Pad Thai that was ordered. It was very flavorful and presented well. Everything was hot and fresh. I will definitely be back.

Nothing like the pictures they posted. Soupy and the chicken tastes like it's canned chicken. They sent their menu ahead for everyone but when they showed up they didn't have any of the appetizers and were out of other items as well. Wry disappointed.

It was super crispy, but the meat was still so juicy. And the sweet and creamy sauces just finished the perfect bite. The ramens were pretty solid too. The matcha broth was super creamy and light. And the tonkotsu was so flavorful, with really tender chashu and a perfectly soft boiled egg. Plus the noodles were a really good texture. The restaurant itself is really cute too. They also have a convenience store type of ramen station in the front, which I really want to try. As well as a little arcade game that you can play in the front while you wait to be seated. However, I was really not a fan of the service. It's nothing really against the servers because they were super nice, but they just seemed so frazzled. We arrived around an hour before closing, but it took forever for us to be seated, despite seeing a few empty tables around. By the time we were seated, we were told kitchen would be closing in two minutes, so we had to hurry and put in our orders. All of that was fine and I didn't mind. But what I did mind was that our waitress checked our order twice when we first have it. And she came back to our table within the next five minutes to check our orders again for a third time to make sure she had down what we wanted. I wanted the matcha ramen and was most looking forward to having some chashu and egg. So she confirmed my order three times that I wanted matcha ramen. But when it came out, she gave me the vegetable bowl. I knew the kitchen had closed at that point, so I just ate it, but I was really disappointed. (I did get to try a bite of my friends egg and chashu, which also didn't really help because it was so good and made me wish mine came with those even more.) When we were finished eating, it took forever for the checks to come out. This I also didn't mind that much, because the servers, again, looked really frazzled trying to close up. But at this point we had waited until well after their closing time, so part of me was hoping they could just close us out first and then finish closing down the place. I think we waited at least half an hour from when we first asked for the check (at which point we had already been waiting a while) to when we finally got our cards back. I did see they charged me for the vegetable version of the matcha ramen so it was whatever, but then also I was confused - so it wasn't a mix up in the kitchen, she rang it up as the vegetable one from the beginning! Even though I never mentioned it and she never said vegetable when confirming my order. It was a dollar less to get tofu instead of an egg and chashu which doesn't seem worth it. Writing this all out, I'm sorry to rant, because the food really was good. And looking at other reviews, it looks like the service is usually pretty good. But again, it was just disappointing. That being said, I am really hoping it was a one off thing because I would go again and try some other menu items too.

There are two 4-top tables so it's mostly a takeaway spot. The General Tso's chicken was delicious but I was even more impressed by the fried rice. It wasn't the yellow rice that a lot of spots serve - it was actually fried and had great flavor. My mom enjoyed her pepper steak combo with egg roll & her husband raved about the hot and sour soup.

Most of you…read morewho remember Chinese food from the 80s and 90s don't need me to say anything else because if you know then you know! Now here is a review for everyone else. I called ahead of placing my phone order because my order was a fairly large pickup order. The guy that answered the phone was so so nice (you know who you are... in one of the photos), lol. He wasn't in a hurry to get me off the phone and actually seemed happy that I called with questions. He answered all of my questions and even gave me some menu item suggestions. Here are a few tips, for parties or large families the restaurant offers party tray sizes. Also if you call early for large orders and let restaurant know when (what time) you need to pickup the party order they will try to have your order ready for you. They will also add bean sprouts and egg to you fried rice if you ask (do yourself a favor ASK!). Okay let's talk about the food. Let's just say Crazy Chopsticks had me when I read another post claiming that Crazy Chopsticks served good ole back in the day brown fried rice. If you really want to jump back in a Time Machine request the addition of bean sprouts and eggs to your fried rice order. Ohhhh, it was excellent! See photos! My order included a few types of fried rice chicken, shrimp and house fried rice. Flavor wise they were great especially with the bean sprouts and egg additions. The only thing I noticed was that there were smaller pieces of chicken in the chicken fried rice and not larger sizes of chicken like those in the chicken and broccoli dishes. Also the size of the shrimp are smaller for the rice and Lo-mein compared to the larger shrimp found in the other dishes like shrimp and broccoli for instance. If someone from Crazy Chopsticks reads this review consider adding green onions, bean and egg to you fried rice! Everyone should experience the retro classic fried rice! The Lo-mein was excellent also. The Lo-mein and fried rice both had that kiss of a sizzling iron wok taste. It's a special char taste. It's that special flavor like the difference between a burger cooked on a griddle and a burger that cooked on charcoal grill. They are both great but one really says Summer is here! The egg rolls and dumplings were amazing. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, the filling wasn't dry and it was well seasoned. The sauce had great flavor tangy and slightly sweet at the same time. The egg rolls were nice and crunchy and Crazy Chopsticks carries the duck sauce that has apricots in it! So extra bonus points for that. I'd love a vegetable egg roll option though (one with the wonton wrapper that is) I'm not sure if they offer one though as this also seems to be one of those phantom things from the 90s! Let's talk main dishes. The chicken and broccoli was excellent. The brown sauce is the classic salty/ umami sauce not the sweet brown sauce. The chicken was very tender and the broccoli was fresh and still had the right amount of crunchiness. The same goes for the shrimp and broccoli. The shrimp were large, fresh and clean. The shrimp egg fu yung and the vegetable egg fu yung dishes were perfectly cooked. As you can see in the photos the container had a bit of extra oil but placing the patties on paper towels before plating them helped with that. The shrimps were fresh and clean. The vegetable egg fu yung included carrots, broccoli, onions, mushrooms and I believe zucchini. The dish was chocked full of vegetables. The gravy had good flavor, it wasn't the sweet type of gravy. The gravy was pretty oily on top though. Once I removed the extra oil the gravy was great. The sweet and sour chicken was good also. Not overly battered like some places serve with mostly batter and barely any chicken, you know what I'm talking about. No, these had a great balance just enough batter for a crispy outside and nice juicy tender pieces of chicken on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce was unique not your typical sauce, there was a little something different in it that made it a step above most Chinese takeaways. Give it a try to see what I mean! The sesame chicken was delightful. The sauce on the sesame chicken was really good! The chicken was tender and juicy and the breading was just right not overly breaded or so hard that the chicken sounds like rocks hitting your plate. Anyone that enjoys sesame chicken will like this one. Then there's the garlic Fried Chicken wings. I believe this was their #1 seller for fried chicken. I ordered one order with sauce and one order with sauce on the side. The order with sauce was good, nice and flavorful. The chicken wings that had the sauce on the side were slightly overcooked. It's was probably just a one off situation so I wouldn't allow this to stop you from trying the wings sauce less. Let's not forget the sugar biscuits they had ju

Well our small UYE group got together on this evening to check out Ten Seconds Rice Noodle & Ramen…read more Jimmy, Lea, Goldie and I have found some real gems at times, but I think we like most to share some time and fellowship with each other. I rate it as a pretty good Asian restaurant with some minor flaws that can be easily fixed. BUT! I'll say up front that I didn't find any flaws with my meal and chosen beverage! Yes, I would certainly eat or do takeout here again! The good here, were the meals. The ramen, hibachi, and the dish that Lea ordered were sizable, filled with good meats and veggies - not just a rice or noodle stuffing. My hibachi with shrimp was cooked superbly! There was a nice orange sauce on the grilled shrimp and it was seared perfectly. I was a happy man. But it also came with fried rice (you can choose plan white rice too) and mixed veggies. It was a full meal indeed! Had to take some of it home. Jimmy also had the hibachi meal with chicken. He conquered his full meal - I don't know how! Goldie had one of the Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen bowls with chicken. It was filled with meats, vegetables and other items that she enjoyed for her evening meal. Given we ate on a Monday, it was pretty slow here - but there were a good number of carryout pickups too. My only real negatives was that the service was slow. It took quite a while to get my meal to me our server said it was because the carryout orders slowed things down inside. They had one server working on this evening and she was gracious and took pretty good care of us. The one other item we talked to each other about as far as this shop is concerned was the lack of air conditioning. It wasn't hot, but it was pretty warm inside. Yes, it was a very hot day and this restaurant has a large space to cool. So I can understand the need to conserve, but others may not. All in all we had a nice, relaxed evening with lots of jokes and smiles! This was a great place to meet up and I certainly would visit again! Recommend: HIGH
