I just finished a management forum and wanted something Quick and easy. China Dragon is 10 minutes away. I did not call ahead. The restaurnat itself was vacant when I ordered. i ordered ateamed chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce on the side with a ice tea to go. Not a complicated order at all. The food was nice and fresh. During Covid, this restaurant alwys had a line literally on the sidewalj. It is off Baymeadows amongs Mamma pizza and Walmart. I was so enthralled the my order. I forgot to take a picture for Yelp. One of the few places that I liked the steamed brocccoli. Next time, I will order chicken and shrimp! See ya soon China Dragon! read more

The food here is fantastic! They have brown fried rice that's just like I like it. The service is impeccable, and the gentleman at the counter is incredibly respectful. I used to frequent this restaurant during the COVID pandemic, and it's strange to be inside the store now. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back. My go-to dishes here are the fried chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. read more

This place is number one in the area for sure. You always need a good reliable local Chinese joint. Very very consistent. The 16 year old who runs this place is a real boss. Wonderful! read more

I ordered takeout from this restaurant only based on the review of above four stars on Google and when I got there they won't even let you come inside! they just open the door and give you the food and you pay for the food over a table plus you have to hold the door open yourself! and the A/C was not even on... so I am just so concerned that I will not eat the food that I paid for and I'm going to throw it away... read more

Absolutely awful! I ordered take-out from China Dragon, cashew chicken, and it was disgusting. The chicken was chewy and rubbery, the sauce was gelatinous and there was zero flavor. Needless to say it was a waste of money and I won't be returning. read more

China Dragon - three takeout containers of food - Chinese Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

Food was to go and fast. However when we got it home and I opened it up, I started seeing all my sesame seed chicken was tiny bits of more flour than chicken. They sauce as New Yorker was off to light and sweet. By far there is another place I'll go to over this. It's farther and pricey but way better. If your looking for NY sesame sees chicken this place ain't it. My fiance got the orange chicken and his pieces were bigger but still the flavor was way to light. Just ehh. I saw on Google someone else mentioned little bits of chicken so I was hoping it was a 1 time thing, it was not. In the photo I used my finger for reference on how little they are. read more

Best Chinese food in the area! It was sooo good. There lunch special is also an amazing deal!!! Will be my go to Chinese take out spot :)

Place did not seem clean. Meal was not up to par. They are still in covid prep and do not allow people in restaurant Would not return.

The food is exceptional, and the staff is really friendly. I'd say this is probably the best Chinese place I've ever been to.

My mouth is watering just thinking about the food here. It is incredible every single time I go. Any special requests I make, they are happy to oblige (I don't usually make them, but when I do.) Ask for extra sauce and they give you an abundance. Food always tastes hot and fresh, it reheats well. I'm a weirdo that loves their lo mein cold the next day, but it still tastes just as wonderful. When I was overcharged once, they personally called me and worked through the refund right there on the phone with me, which they didn't have to do. Their prices have never changed, either. It can seem pricey, but they give you enough food to last several days. The little shop is always clean, you can't go in I assume because COVID changed things, but they will meet you at the door with a smile. I don't usually tip for takeout, but I don't mind tipping here because they genuinely go the extra mile. I would literally go so many extra miles to get China Dragon, though. No place in town tastes anywhere near as good! read more

This is the only Chinese food place that I have frequented over the last few years. Today however, I found a whole roach in my shrimp & Chinese vegetables. I had to call the health department to have them inspected because this is not ok! I will also no longer eat at any other restaurant that is connected to this place either because if they have an infestation, then the other places do as well! YUCK!!!!! read more

No one is allowed in, like Covid- only take out. Well ok.... They decide - convert your order into a giant portion & upcharge instead of following the menu. It's not good at all. It's the bare minimum Chinese & overpriced - I would not recommend read more

Hubby and I are regulars here for over 2 1/2 years! This is our go-to for take out Chinese food & I feel like a slacker for never reviewing them!!! Truth be told- it has been over a year since I even stepped into the establishment, hubby usually grabs dinner on the way home from work. We eat here at least once a month and my tupperware cabinet is full of containers from here! I love their shrimp and mixed veggies, crab rangoon, beef teriyaki & wonton soup. Hubby loves sesame chicken, chicken and cashews, kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli & wonton-egg drop soup. Seriously consistent, good & hot take out! Combos are fantastic, all the fried foods are great too and we love their soups! For almost a year they knew my hubby's phone number and regular order! That's some serious service!!! This is the type of place you become regulars~ A++ read more

I was quite skeptical after reading the latest health inspection report but I gave it a shot anyway. Ordered the food online and they gave me a time when it would be ready. I arrived a few minutes early and opened the door that is blocked by a table and paid for the order. The looks of the place was not the most appealing and I was just hoping not to get sick, I didn't so kudos for that. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, moo-goo-gai- pan and pork fried rice all cooked well, hot and flavorful. I wish the looks of the place gave me more confidence in the quality of the food, but I will go back for seconds. read more

If you are looking for good Chinese food - This is the place for you. I've enjoyed my meals both times I've been here. I think the first time I got orange chicken and second time the sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice. The egg roll, however is a bit greasy. Also, I've called my orders in each time before arriving - 15 or so minutes and I still had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes when I arrive. It's okay since my food is fresh. They also serve smoothies and juice, haven't tried that though. read more

Called & ordered takeout from the China Dragon which had great reviews online. When I arrived I saw that the door appeared to be blocked by a table. Walked around the corner wall but there was no other entrance. Came back to the door & opened it which was blocked by a table so you couldn't enter the restaurant. A young man came to the door & I told him I was picking up a takeout order. When I got home & opened the containers of food I was surprised to see an abundance of mushrooms & chunks of zucchini in the moo goo gai pan. I really like both but the mushrooms were too many & zucchini I have never seen in that particular dish. The white rice was over cooked but almost mushy. The fried rice was okay but not that good. This was not my idea of good Chinese food. Quite disappointed. read more

After reading some other good reviews we tried China Dragon for lunch yesterday. Only take-out during covid. Our food was delicious. Ready on time, still hot when we got home. We had Tso's chicken and honey chicken. Very nice quantities, fried rice some of the best I have had in years. We will be returning soon. Chinese lady who was working was very nice. Gave us extra sweet/sour sauce. read more

I truly cannot find 1 positive thing to say about this place. I placed my order with the kid behind the counter. Simple order - sweet & sour chicken, white rice and 3 pork egg rolls. After I paid $10+, I waited. I asked the kid if I could get extra sweet and sour sauce. He said something and moved on. When my food came out, I looked in the bag and no extra sauce. The lady who gave me my food said it would be another dollar. The kid behind the counter never told me that but he was interested in his cell phone. The pork egg rolls were bland. No flavor at all. I had to saturate them in duck sauce just to get some flavor. The chicken had more bredding than chicken and the rice was just rice. Very sorry I stopped there. Will not be going back. Chili's is in the parking lot, next time I'll get some ribs read more

At 4 pm I ordered Wonton Soup and a Pork Egg Roll. NO spoon included for my soup. NO napkins included. He offered NO sauces for the Egg Roll. The Egg Roll is MAINLY the fried outer casing. HARDLY ANYTHING inside!! I will NOT order this Pork Egg Roll again. I will also stand at the door and OPEN the bag BEFORE I walk away. I will have to remember to ASK for sauces. Even though it is carry out, I always tip. However, I will NOT tip again. I usually get their lunches. Even though their prices went up, they do give you a lot of food at lunchtime! I have had: Fried Rice, Broccoli with Garlic Sauce, Won Ton Soup, and Dumplings. All good. read more

Been looking for a good Chinese place since our fav closed up a year or more ago. Decided to give China Dragon a try even though they are only doing take out and glad we did. Ordering was quick and easy and food was ready upon arrival and still plenty hot making it back to Mandarin. My wife got a combo sweet & sour pork with pork fried rice & a pork egg roll. Only thing she complained about was that the pork wasn't bad crispy as she likes but that was most likely due to it having steamed in the container. Other than that she enjoyed the flavors and the rice as well. I had the egg roll which I enjoyed as well. I got roasted pork Lo-Mein & a small (which wasn't very small) order of pork fried rice both were very tasty. One thing we were happy to see was a place that was actually serving "PORK" as its becoming harder to find Chinese restaurants that have it predominantly on their menus. Will definitely go back again for takeout and also after this mess is over when they re-open their dining area. Sorry for no pics maybe next time!! read more

I went to get my taxes done and saw this restaurant next door. There were 4 or 5 customers waiting outside and I thought "this place must be special". I read the reviews and decided to order dinner that night. As it turns out, there are always people waiting outside because you are blocked from entering the business. It is take out only. Show up the door and someone either takes your order or hands you your online order at the front door. I ordered something called Romeo and Juliet which the menu describes as "Jumbo shrimp, chunks of flank steak sautéed with broccoli, red pepper and water chestnuts in a kung pao sauce". If this were a kung pao sauce my recommendation is to not order the kung pao dish. My dinner was mostly vegetables including onions, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms and other veggies with two jumbo (?) not very fresh tasting shrimp and virtually no flank steak. And where were the red peppers? The broccoli had been way overcooked to the point it was limp. Had I wanted a mostly vegetable dinner, there were other less expensive choices. It was neither tasty nor hot (spicy or temperature) and was definitely false advertising on their menu. I highly recommend staying as far away as possible from this restaurant which should not be too difficult as you can't get close enough to get in anyhow. You have many other better choices. There is nothing to recommend here. I threw it in the trash. read more

These folks make excellent "American" Chinese food, but lately they've taken to waiting to cook your order until you arrive to pick it up, whether you order on line or by phone. I'm finding it rather inconvenient, and have mentioned to the staff that I will be taking my business elsewhere if this practice continues. When I pick up tonight, twenty minutes after ordering remotely, I'll be finding another restaurant if my order hasn't been started yet. The extra travel time will be made up by my order being ready when I arrive. read more

This was my first time there, and I have to say I liked it a lot. I had the set and sour chicken with vegetable fried rice. The seasoning and flavor of rice was very good, the bragging on the chicken was nice and crunchy and the sweet and sour sauce was just what I hoped it would be. I will putting them on my favorite spots list. Also the customer service was great! read more
