The pictures overhead are quite faded and off-color looking. The actual food looks better than the pictures. The white rice is soft and consistent. Veggies have that nice stir-fry taste without being over cooked or too soggy. Meats have that unhealthy American-Chinese taste that we all love. So far, I am partial to the lo mein. It has a nearly perfect texture, soft but not too soft, and like the veggies in it, it has that great stir-fried flavor without feeling too salty or oily. The chow mei fun is also pretty good. Compared to them, I thought the fried rice was just okay. Orange chicken is also just okay. I like the egg foo young. The egg seems a bit fluffier than at most other places, and the portion is huge. This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant. As in I used to live about 2 miles away, and when we moved we drive there still passing about 20 other Chinese restaurants and drive 40 minutes to get there and back. I'm going to start with the pork egg rolls, they're amazing. They have the perfect mix inside them and they're deliciously crunchy. My favorite meal is General Tsos chicken Combo that comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I cannot tell you why it tastes SO good but it does. I think Panda Express is ok, but sorry, they pale in comparison. I also tried the Chinese food place near where I live now but it's not as good either, it's mediocre at best. The lo mien is really good. The orange chicken and sesame chicken is awesome as well along with the Rangoons and wonton soup. My bf had the short ribs tonight and said it was delicious also. I have had take from here 3 times. I like the egg drop soup, yellow curry, and Mongolian beef. However, I ordered the shrimp egg foo young and was very disappointed. There was so many egg shells that 3 out of 5 bits had a shell in it. When I stopped and looked at the dish I could see the shells sticking out of the batter. The food is good but the service is severely lacking. The order is never ready when the app says that it is and it can take an extra 5 minutes just to make sure you get the correct order. The reason I gave it two stars was because the Egg Roll and Egg Drop soup were decent and edible. The food is still good, but after a 5 minute conversation on the phone with someone at the restaurant trying to explain that our order was shorted steamed rice and being told they saw them put it in the bag, to check the order and such, I gave up, saying I'll make my own damn rice and will not give them any future business. They serve egg-drop soup by the quart in that gooey neon yellow form I know and love so dearly. It's even better when you crumble up some fried noodles in that bitch. Lunches run around $5 and you would be hard pressed to spend over about 8 bucks per person at dinner. The soups are good, as are the rangoons. They actually have the balls to call them imitation crab rangoons which I found funny. The dry Beef Chow Fun kicks ass and I would definitely recommend it. Really just your standard issue strip-mall Chinese, but it's not bad for what it is. I wouldn't drive more than a mile or two for it, but if you live in the Hodges neighborhood you could do worse for the price. read more

Spring rolls were tasty, spare ribs were a touch greasy, but plentiful. large, and delicious. The Hot & Sour soup was different from what I have had in the past. Lots of cut fresh mushrooms, with a light, fresh taste. I had the Kung Pao Chicken; it was good but could have been spicier. My wife's chicken and broccoli was very good.
