Small takeout style Chinese restaurant that has won me over for my new favorite NY style Chinese. I've had such a hard time finding quality, fresh Chinese takeout on this side of town with reasonable pricing. I wanted whole wings and fresh and full krab Rangoon - this place answered my prayers. It's a 20 min drive from my house but it's worth the drive and everything was still hot when I got home. I can't wait to go back and try their Lo mein and fried rice. Dumplings were thin, cold and tasteless. The shrimp lo mein had the smallest tasteless shrimp I have ever allowed to enter my mouth. Clearly bulk frozen. The shrimp toast was small, full of grease and actually burnt. I would give zero stars if possible. read more

Came from out of town and they had a high rating so we stopped by super happy with the chow mein and fried rice as well as the shrimp fried rice, honey wings and sweet tea customer service was great super friendly and i maybe have a crush on the girl behind the counter if your reading this my instagram is Isaac_ortixx the pretty girl didn't sway my review, good food. read more

I was so disappointed with the sweet and sour chicken. The actual chicken pieces (beneath the breading) were SO very small. Only one or two of the entire pint were even 1" long and not very wide either. The breading makes them look large, but look underneath for reality. I had the same problem at Min Garden the Chinese restaurant down Baymeadows Rd. I guess I'll stick with China Wok a little further down Baymeadows Rd. Their chicken pieces are much larger. I also wasn't able to choose the kind of rice I wanted when ordering online so had to order separate vegetable fried rice and was given white rice w my entree, which I did not want. read more

Good takeout Chinese food. They have your food ready quick and the servings are big. They don't have seating and it is only takeout so I can't say anything about the ambience. Prices are not the cheapest but food tastes good. read more

So I went off Yelp reviews for a Chinese Restaurant for the quick over the phone order and I am so glad I did There is no fancy decor on the walls, 2 -3 tables in the dining area and a fan that blows cool air. I always say and love "hole in the wall" places, and I am not down talking this establishment, but these restaurants typically put out the best food and this store proved my theory correct. I ordered the House Special Egg Foo Young and so glad I did off the dinner menu. The course was enough for 3 regular serving and every bite back a delay, powerful punch of flavor and delight. The menu is nicely priced. The employees where inviting and friendly. I had ordered my food and it was piping hot. I got it to go and after 30 minute ride is was surprisingly warm enough to plate and eat, no microwave need. 5 stars for a very pleasant experience and I can't wait to go back and try another entree. I would vote this as my favorite Chinese restaurant in Jax!! read more

Being from Saint Louis my expectations for Chinese food is pretty high. But we found this place and it's down the street from my house. Do not miss this spot. If you're looking for classic Chinese takeout this is the spot. Everything was so good! The rangoons, spring rolls, soup! We ordered for NYE, called it in early just in case and they had a huge box of it waiting for us when we got there! It was incredible. Ok let me start with what I ordered . Sesame chicken, Beef and broccoli , wonton soup, pork eggrolls, Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, and Fried biscuit. So let me start but the menu that is online is not the correct price. With the economy the way that it is I understand. With the cost of food going up every day I get that we're going to smaller quantities. Let me also say that when ordering Chinese food I don't expect much I really only wanted the wonton soup and eggrolls. My family ordered the rest and asked me to try it. Let's start with the steak and broccoli not sure if we can actually say that was steak no flavor at all it taste like you were eating Broccoli tasting meat. Now I understand it's broccoli and steak but there is no steak in this dish. Then let's move on to sesame chicken not sure if this is chicken either. But that's OK cause that's what you come to expect at Chinese restaurants. Absolutely no flavor. not even attempting to cook. Once again I understand not what I expect from a Chinese restaurant I only wanted the wonton soup. Egg rolls are very thin and have no ingredients inside. I am very disappointed in the food quality the taste. all of this cost $57. we ordered it to go to save money and go pick it up. We got that received it paid and left. When we got home we noticed that the fried biscuits were not in there I told her seven dollars. we call and complained and said that we were missing an item they said they had to re-search and check for the receipt. It took almost 45 minutes to an hour for them to call us back. Then they acted like they didn't care and just come back and pick it up. Well I'm not sure if you understand that we passed three other Chinese restaurants to get to yours because we've never tried your cuisine. I will not be returning. The only reason why I give it one stars is because I can't give it zero. read more

If I could eat Chinese takeout for every meal I would. I'm not playing around, there's something about it that appeals to all my senses, seemingly around all hours of each passing day. If we were all in a stadium I would be the one to start the MSG chant. Shout out to my boy Luis D. because I specifically came here off his review alone. Aren't Elite Yelpers the best? Now, when I mosied into China Dragon and saw the classic faded photos of Chinese dishes on the menu board, I knew I was in for a treat. Reading the menu, I discovered the phrase, "New York Style," slapped on the takeout menu. Intrigued moreso than I originally was, I placed our order. $20 for two entrees and a spring roll app, yes please! The drive home was absolute torture. The smells overpowered my weak, senseless mindset. Once in the house, it became evident that I might see a higher power upon this meal. Call me crazy, but the fried rice trumps all other Chinese takeout spots I've encountered in Jax - not all, yet many. Not everyone is going to understand my opinion. Came here bc of the decent reviews this is the univeristy blvd location, they forgot to give me my quart of rice with my sesame chicken order, the sesame chicken was so dry almost choked had to drink a lot of water, and there was a piece of plastic in my shrimp lo mein which came from the lid after I noticed the hole when I called to complain about the white rice missing the guy who took my order just said as a matter factly, "we forgot your rice. Oh, yup" smh! read more

Average at best...I had shrimp egg foo young and shrimp fried rice .Not many shrimp in either and foo young was bland. My wife had the lemon chicken.The chicken was dry/ a little overcome and tuff.....Bamboo is much Better read more

I ordered general tso chicken and this is my first post on yelp because I was that disappointed. The combination platter had extremely dry chicken and was hard and tough. The egg roll was super small and tasted horrible! the whole meal was bad. I would never go here again. This food was horrible!!!!! I think they bought reviews because if this is the quality of this place, it's no way this place has that many quality reviews!!! IMPOSSIBLE I drove 15 minutes out of my way to eat here based on the reviews and was sadly disappointed. I've never posted a review and this food was so bad I had to write a review. I've had food that wasn't great but this food is the worse!!!!! beware as these reviews are completely inaccurate! read more

Didn't even get a chance to order, didn't answer the phone 1st 3 times just got hung up on, then when they did answer got yelled at about did I know which location I was calling, how about answering the phone and stating what location I'm calling, I was calling the correct one BTW. Then I get yelled at when I go to order off the menu but somehow the menu is wrong! After terrible interaction I decided not to order because the vibe was terrible. Really unfortunate. read more

This is some of the best Chinese food in Jacksonville from my small sample over the past few years. All the service is pick up and I think they prepare your order when you arrive and pay. That way the food is piping hot and stayed that way for the 20 minutes from their place to ours. We ordered a lot of food and, except for one small order of egg rolls being let out the entire order was accurate. The food was tasty and well seasoned. This has become my go to for good Chinese food. read more

I was looking for a switch up besides the yellow fried rice I get. I was feeling special for I ordered the bourbon chicken lunch with a soda, egg roll, and seafood soup. Interesting enough, if you've never had the seafood soup, it tastes better the next day! Also discovered the health store next door. read more

This is the best Chinese food in Jacksonville and one of our go-to carryout spots. I love the hot n sour soup - it's right on the edge of being too hot, but for me that's perfect. Special C is a great deal for the amount of food you get (bourbon chicken, broccoli beef, chicken satay, fried riv, and if you have extra it all reheats well the next day. read more

I lived in Asia for a couple of years and I would eat the best fried rice everyday for lunch outside of my job for 1 dollar. While not as cheap, the fried chicken rice is very good here. Add an egg roll and a main entree for about 8 bucks makes this place a good value. The service was very good. The woman who helped me was very nice and gave me some options since I try to not eat pork. A lot of the time when you go to a Chinese restaurant the staff is rude or indifferent, but this place stood out for a nice atmosphere. You can buy some soft drinks here and seating is limited to about 3-4 tables, but if you stop in and take home it is perfect. I will be back! read more

We have lived in Jax for over a year (from the Midwest) and had almost given up on finding a good Chinese take-out establishment. Review after review on other places were all over the place. We passed the Baymeadows location on Friday, read the reviews and decided to try it out on Sunday. I just finished eating and THANKFULLY we have found our place to go; China Dragon! Although we live on the Southside, that location opens at 4 so we drove to University and were very happy. The food is fresh, the shrimp fried rice was excellent as was the sweet and sour chicken, pork egg rolls, general tso chicken and fried shrimp. Too bad we are going on a cleanse tomorrow. read more

Another update. Still coming here for our regular weekly chinese. The staff now recognizes our voice when we call in our order ahead, and we can get our soup, etc. customized (hubby hates tofu). Good portion sizes. Fried items hot and crispy. If I have a complaint, it is that 90% of the time the "crunchy noodles" are stale and I have to toss them in my toaster oven for a couple of minutes before serving. read more

I never thought I would find a better place then my usual spot but I did. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo (pork fried rice and egg roll included) a sesame chicken combo, fried dumplings and fried cheese wontons. The chicken on both these meals was fresh the pork fried rice tasted just like the Chinese cuisine I get back home in Chicago! The dumplings were delicious and the cheese wontons were amazing as it had a bit of that sweet cheese twist to it. I highly recommend this spot especially if you are looking for a more Chicago/ New York style of Chinese food. read more

The only thing is that they told me that they do not clean tripe in Korea which was hard to believe. I do want to share a concern regarding the preparation of the tripe soup. After beginning the meal, I noticed that the tripe did not appear to have been cleaned. At first, I wondered if this was simply the restaurant's style of preparation, but after researching further, I learned that improperly cleaned tripe can be both unpleasant and potentially unsafe to consume because tripe comes from the stomach lining of the animal. Uncleaned tripe may still contain food residue, digestive material, parasites, worms, bacteria, and strong bile or waste odors. This can potentially lead to issues such as foul smell, unpleasant taste, food poisoning, bacterial contamination including E. coli or Salmonella, and symptoms such as stomach cramps, vomiting, or diarrhea. Proper cleaning is generally considered an essential part of preparing tripe, especially in professional restaurants where customers would quickly notice if the cleaning process was incomplete. This was my second time here and I really thought the food was better last time…read more So the reasons for the bad review started with the entrance... there was trash everywhere outside! Not just one or two items, but it looked like someone emptied a trash bag in their parking lot. The service was subpar. The guy kept saying he was new and was really nice, but didn't know the menu very well. The food was disappointing as well... I got the pho with tendon and brisket and I opted to pay an extra $1 for the fresh noodles, but totally not worth it. The brisket was chewy and some of the tendon was inedible (had to pay $2 extra ) . The broth had a chemical taste to it like they didn't rinse their pots thoroughly enough. The one good thing I can say about the place is that they offer a plethora of Asian noodle dishes from Vietnamese to Filipino to Thai to Chinese. If I ever do go back, I'll definitely try something different.

Although I can't remember their names, they were both exceptional. Today, I had the best cashier/server who even brought me a sample of the gumbo before I ordered. I also met the kitchen manager, who was friendly and confident about the dish, and the general manager came out to introduce himself and was very welcoming. This place is a 10 out of 10!
