We came here for my sister's birthday. The parking lot gets packed and sometimes you may need to park in the plaza next to Midtown and walk over. When we arrived we checked in for our reservation and even though we got here early, they were able to seat us. Since we were early we were able to order one cocktail on happy hour. I will say, I understand they want to have craft distilleries or alcohol, I wish they would have some of the bigger brands of alcohol. Some of the smaller brands just don't taste the same. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I believe his name was John. He let us know that they just launched this menu. We were a little bummed bc we were looking forward to the strip steak with Bernaise sauce. We started with the fig pizza , meatballs, and bread. Word to the wise because they have an open kitchen, if you run hot be sure to dress appropriately. It gets pretty warm in there. The pizza was delicious. I loved the combo of blue cheese and sweet figs. The meatballs were flavorful and the sauce was really good. I liked the bread plate, just wish there were more dipping options. For dinner we all ordered the strip with the truffle fries and the peppercorn sauce. We really enjoyed the steak, but I liked the one with bernaise better. The steaks were all cooked to our liking. We started with the cheese and charcuterie board, which had a nice variety of meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, peppers, and crisp bread. It was perfect for sharing while we looked over the menu. I ordered the Frutti de Mare, and it was delicious. The linguine came with shrimp, mussels, clams, and market fish in a flavorful white-wine and seafood broth with tomatoes, garlic, shallots, lemon zest, and olive oil. The seafood tasted fresh, the pasta was well prepared, and the sauce brought everything together without overpowering the dish. It was a generous portion, so the ocean definitely showed up ready for dinner. Our table also ordered risotto, lasagna, and pizza, and every plate looked inviting. My Old Fashioned was also very good: smooth, balanced, and exactly the kind of drink I enjoy with a nice dinner. Came here after shopping at Town Center for dinner with my friend. We waited for only about 10 minutes after getting glasses of wine at the bar and sitting outside at the outdoor part, which was actually pleasant. We then got seated inside. The star of the show was definitely the mango sticky rice burrata. I really did not what this was gonna taste like because I had never heard of that combination before. But it was literally perfection. Such a great combination of savory and sweet, which our server Mary recommended to us. She was so sweet and on top of everything! We then shared Caesar salad and some pasta and they split it before giving it to us, which I always think it's such a nice touch and that was the perfect amount of food and everything was truly delicious. Midtown Table in St Johns Town Center is a special place for us. It's been our go-to for special events for more than a few years. We've gone there for Valentine's Day, birthdays and even with friends and family the night before our wedding. So when Lauren suggested it for tonight, the first thing I said was "but it's not a special occasion" lol. Per usual, we made it a special occasion just because. They change over from the lunch menu to dinner at 5 and we got there a little early, so we took a seat at the bar. Good thing we did because that allowed me to start with their amazing Tiramisu Martini! At 5, we cashed out at the bar and headed to our table where we started with their bread House Bread. We've had the bread so many times before but it's such a great go-to. After that, I ordered one of their specials for tonight which was a twist on their Risotto that included mussels. I'm not very big on tomatoes but I left them in for this because I've been trying to just trust these great chefs in our area and enjoy the dishes the way they intended them. And again, I'm glad I did. I didn't exactly scarf down the tomatoes but they did add something to the overall flavor, so I'm glad I left them in. Lauren had the Hand Cut Fettuccine. She LOVED it. She said it hit every note on the flavor palette. Take a look at the attached photos and you'll see how much she loved it. She said it was sweet, savory, tangy and everything in between. Per usual, we finished up with Midtown Table Ice Craam. I *rarely* use this phrase but if you haven't had it, you're just plain missing out. Take a look at the ingredients list on the menu photo I've included. You'll probably say the say thing I said the first time, which was "h*ll to the no". We literally had to be talking into trying it by a server a while back. I've never been more happy with the result of arm twisting in my life. It's just so, so good. So yeah, we didn't have a special occasion as a reason to go to Midtown Table but I'm so glad my wife reminded me that every day can be a special occasion if you want to. What a fabulous dinner. Another recommendation by my coworker for food options near Jax, further away from the beach. We booked reservations for 6:30PM, and thank God we did because it was insanely busy! I grabbed a seat at the bar while we waited and got a margarita (standard). The margarita was really light and refreshing but fairly underwhelming (had a blood orange piece in it but no lime). Guess I just like my margaritas truly traditional. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer and also got the bread (which comes with roasted garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and a full roasted garlic glove to spread). I loved the free bread but really REALLY loved the hummus. I've had many variations of hummus and this was my favorite thus far. See photos and menu, but this is a must. I must have been so enamored with the hummus because I forgot my picture of the Margherita pizza. The pizza was fairly standard for me but it was standard in a good way. The basil popped off this pizza and must've been hand picked to be so flavorful. For dessert, we got a complimentary house made ice cream. It was vanilla but had olive oil, caramel, sea salt and something else on top that we had to stir in. The combo was amazing! We came here on a mo day night at 6 pm. We called on the way and we were able to get reservations. I've been wanting to try this place because of their homemade pasta I had the rad something pasta with bolognese sauce and the whipped ricotta. It was served piping hot and delicious. My husband had the fettuccine and it was a type of a cream sauce that was with blue cheese and a drizzle honey on top of it with breadcrumbs. I wasn't crazy about it at all and I love blue cheese - my husband liked it, and he said it was a four star meal. It was a toss up for him between that and the carbonara. This was our third visit to Midtown Table, and the quality of both the food and service has been consistently outstanding. From the moment we walked in until we left, the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Calabrian chili wings. They were crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. My only criticisms are that a few of the wings could have used a little more of the Calabrian glaze, they were disrespectfully small, they were all flats, and surprisingly, the restaurant doesn't serve blue cheese dressing despite offering several dishes featuring blue cheese. For my entrée, I ordered the hand-cut fettuccine with glacier blue cheese cream sauce, Calabrian honey, tomato confit, crispy pancetta, and added steak. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the dish had an incredible balance of sweet and savory flavors. I've ordered this same dish on all three visits because it's that good. Every time I tell myself I'm going to try something different, and every time I end up ordering it again. My wife ordered the vodka pizza, and it was excellent. After trying a slice, I can confidently recommend it. On future visits, we'll probably order the pizza as an appetizer to share. It's delicious, easily shareable, and a much better value than the wings or some of the other starters. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and each one was excellent. The frozen fruit and vegetables embedded in the ice cubes were a creative touch that made the drinks feel even more special. If I had one suggestion, it would be to serve bread with the pasta dishes. It would be the perfect accompaniment to soak up every last bit of those incredible sauces. Overall, Midtown Table continues to impress. The food is consistently excellent, the cocktails are creative, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Really solid spot for some casual Italian good! And busy times kind of vary, so I would def recommend making a reservation. All of the servers were so friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly! For me, the truffle fries are a must get. I love love love anything truffle and these did not disappoint. They were super crispy and the truffle flavor was stronggg. I honestly feel like they didn't even need the garlic aioli, but it was still nice to have on the side. Another favorite for me was the seasonal burrata. Literally all of my favorite things - coconut sticky rice, mango salad, tajin cashews, passion fruit pulp, cheese, etc. It overall felt very much like a coconut curry and I loved it. I do wish the focaccia was a little more soft and bready, but it was still good. The white pizza was also pretty good. Cheesy, creamy, and the nice slightly bitter veggie bite of arugula really rounded it out. We weren't the biggest fans of the baked potato pizza though. An unlikely combo but totally delicious! The setting is pleasant. The service is great! We shared two appetizers - the house bread and the brussels and both were excellent. MT makes all of their bread and pasta fresh daily. This was apparent with the delicious bread, but not when it came to the radiatori pasta in my entree. It was a fine dish but definitely a letdown after the appetizers, knowing it was fresh pasta which I love, and an underwhelming bolognese sauce. I met up with a few girlfriends for happy hour, though there weren't any real happy hour food specials - just a few well drink options. We ended up ordering a variety of appetizers instead, including the truffle fries, meatballs, Calabrian shrimp, ricotta spread, and white bean soup, along with both the margherita and white pizzas. The standout dishes for our group were definitely the Calabrian shrimp, meatballs, truffle fries, and the white bean soup, all flavorful and well executed. The pizzas were enjoyable as well and easy to share. Seating was limited to outdoor tables only. While there was a heater above us, it was still pretty chilly, which took away slightly from the comfort. Service was a bit uneven. Our waitress was somewhat awkward and didn't seem to pick up on social or customer cues very well, but overall it didn't overshadow the experience. This was partly due to the incredible service from Maria and also because of the wonderful stories that Jeff, the brand ambassador, regaled me with throughout my lunch. He told me all about the other amazing restaurants by the Medure brothers, mainly M brothers, a million dollar restaurant inside of Mayo, the hospital! I will definitely try it soon. Neither seemed like savory options, so the switch to a more familiar sauce was recommended and warranted. My waiter was helpful at coming to this conclusion My friend got pizza and ice cream and said they were both delicious and that the ice cream was a must try. I couldn't bring myself to do it so I skipped out on it, but I'll try it next time. For work, I spent four weeks in Jacksonville where the office was across the street from this establishment. Proximity may be the reason you think I'd dined here over five times for both lunch and dinner services, but I can assure you it was for the food and beverage quality! My coworkers and I never had a bad meal here. The service was impeccable and they even started to recognize us. Definitely going to be something I miss with returning back home to Arizona. Service and Ambiance are always top tier here. We actually visited twice in one day this time and love to order too much food. We had steak and pasta, fish and chips, and risotto. The losing component for me this time was the steak unfortunately. The risotto was very well done with string mushroom flavor as told. The pasta was a bit more al dente than I needed with my sauce choice. the fish and chips were really good only would have preferred a spicy dipping option. I always forget until too late that I need spicy sauces to enjoy certain things and I wish the truffle cheese fry trend as normal would end. It's just not for me. The steak was not cooked well(temp request was medium) and you can see it came out grey. Anyway we probably will be back anyway just will make more careful choices. From the moment you walk in till you you exit, you know you are in for a enjoyable "Foodie" experience . The lively decor, the vibe from the staff and surroundings along with a simple single page menu for lunch was exactly what we were looking for. Started with the Spanish Octopus with Fried Gnocchi, Artichoke, Roasted Sweet Peppers, Capers, Chimichurri, Pickled Onion, Black Garlic Aioli. This dish was so delicious with the Chimichuri and fried Gnocchi and capers that we ordered a second order. The Octopus it self was cooked to perfection and had a slight char and was not chewy. With a start like the Spanish Octopus, I couldn't resist but to Order a Cured Meat Pizza when I saw the Wood Fire Pizza oven. The thin dough was hand tossed and topped with the freshest meats and cheese. And instead of the typical thick tomato sauce(like in every fast food pizza shop) it appeared to be a light Pomodoro, which left the pizza slightly wet in the pan. The crispness of the crust compensated for the run off from the sauce. The pure freshness of the tomato purée was as if the tomatoes were freshly squeezed in the kitchen. I understand the wetness and would prefer that to grease like in your usual pizza shops. I can't wait to come for dinner. Midtown Table climbs higher up on my list of Jacksonville favorites with every visit. It is such a great lunch spot and located in a great spot if you're meeting someone on the opposite side of town. From the outside, it might look like a small restaurant, but the inside and back of the restaurant presents plenty of space for groups big and small, a bar area, and an outdoor play area. It's set up quite nicely. I ordered the Vodka Pizza (Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, Calabrian Honey, Pepperoni, Pickled Onions, Fresh Basil) and it did not disappoint!!! The pizzas come Neapolitan Style as a 10'" personal pizza. The presentation alone was enough to make another guest order it, resulting in TWO vodka pizzas for the table! It was a delicious combination of sauce, cheese, and hot honey. I could've done with a little more basil (but who wouldn't!). The crust was cooked to perfection, not too chewy with a firm undercarriage. I love that they are generous with the hot honey! My meal (vodka pizza) was absolutely delicious, and my guests who ordered a variety of other items, like sandwiches, salads, and pasta, all said their items were great too. The week before my wife and I went to 14 Prime down the street and there was no comparison. 14 prime is overhyped, with dishes swimming in butter and waaaay too much salt. Happy hour review We stumbled in after being sick of sitting in 6 hrs of traffic on our way back from vacation. Midtown Table is right off of 295 & very convenient to Town Center. I haven't been here in yrs & I was pleasantly surprised. Our server Reese was very personable & efficient to these weary travelers. We ordered wings & the charcuterie board to share & my husband had the sausage and bean soup. The soup came right away and just what he needed on this rainy day. Our charcuterie platter was a nice size for two. There was tons of meat on it which my husband had all to himself. There was a variety of things including Gherkins, dried fruits, corn nuts, candied pecans and toast points. I would have liked a little more cheese and less meat but that's me. The charcuterie platter went well with the happy hour wine I ordered at $6 a glass. Our server reminded me about Medure Bros. Rewards points and I was grateful for that.
