S&S chicken lunch special
J P.

Jun's is a simple Chinese joint specialized in takeout. The owner is very friendly and the place is extremely clean. I felt like something different and went for an old standby; sweet & sour chicken. The chicken was juicy straps of white meat encased in a shatteringly crisp batter that is nicely seasoned and not greasy. The same for the egg roll, which was perfectly cooked. And while the fried rice was fairly generic, everything was prepared with care and presented nicely on the tray. All in, a very good value. I will repeat and next time will be more adventurous in my selection.

Wowwww Yelpers, Im back and this time with a little hidden gem! I searched my fellow Yelpers for help in finding chinese food since my go to places have not been as good as they used to be. Well all I can say is Thank you!! Jun's Kitchen has taken new ownership over the previous establishment. If you are on the westside this is a must! Im not big on chicken but let me tell you I did major damage here! Fresh full of flavor reminded me of chinese takeout from back home! The place is very clean, staff was friendly and Thank you to the chef and crew! This is my new go to. Prices may seem a tad higher than others but definately worth it!

C1. Chicken with Broccoli

READ BEFORE YOU GO!! I was craving Chinese food tonight and my go to restaurant (Golden China) was closed, so after carefully reading reviews I landed on this place based off the reviews. People's review claims that... "The best Chinese food in Jax" and "I'm from NY with high expectations and this spot feels like home". I'm not sure if they were given free food or paid to write their reviews because they are so far from the truth. I order chicken and broccoli with a side of white rice. When I asked for crab rangoon's the employee looked at me confused and said do you mean cheese wontons?? The chicken and broccoli was absolutely tasteless and watery. It practically tastes like a meal they would give you at the hospital post surgery. The only reason I'm giving them a start is because of the "cheese wontons" which are a $1 a piece and they provide you a tablespoon of dipping sauce on the side. The portions are a crime for the prices. They don't even provide you plastic silverware or napkins with your meal....If you want to waste your money on some food that will put you on the toilet then this is the spot for you.

HOW is this $27? Insane.

Are they paying for good reviews?? This is insane. I went here because of the reviews saying "best Chinese food in Jax" and "it's good each time".. now, the food is passable but DEFINITELY not the best. It's so over priced for what you get in return, this is a large people. I got chicken lo mein and the chicken tastes like it was boiled in water with tasteless broth. The crab ragoons aren't even called that, feels baked in the oven not fried and $1 each, which should already set off alarm bells. Listen.. if you are white and not accustomed to flavored food / pepper is too spicy then go here. They are very nice and friendly although clearly cheap in every aspect they can be which effects the quality of meal. If you are black, Hispanic or middle eastern GO TO GOLDEN CHINA! The crab rangoons are actually Fried w/ 3 times as much sauce on the side but most importantly the portion is huge for a large for same price. You will have left overs & they'll actually cook your food adding the left over savory sauce in the pan onto your food so it for added flavor. Golden China is TRULY the most delicious, savory, best bang for your buck Chinese food I've had in Jacksonville so far. Owners, Do better please. I can see from last years photos and portion sizes that you now turned to the cheapest for highest price! Chinese food lovers -Don't waist your money! Look at review pictures from THIS post 8/19/2024 moving forward!

Jun's has the best chicken on a stick! Moist and plump. General Tso's Chicken needs more spice but is tasty as are the boneless spare ribs.

Everything was made fresh to order, which really shined through in the vibrant flavors and quality ingredients. The food was truly satisfying and filling, yet surprisingly light and not weighed down, making it perfect for enjoying multiple dishes without feeling overly stuffed. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and you can tell they put care into each dish. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. The dishes are served family style, so keep in mind that they're meant to be shared amongst the table, which makes for a fun and communal dining experience. The restaurant itself was spotless and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. And the prices? Beyond reasonable for the generous portions and high-quality food. I can honestly say I will be back--no question about it--and I'm already looking forward to my next visit here. Sichuan Kitchen is a true gem!

Sichuan Kitchen isn't the place you visit for ambience. There's no music, the décor is bare, and…read morethe service is straightforward and minimal. Orders are taken, food delivered, that's about it. But honestly, you're just here for the food. The menu is packed with classic Sichuan dishes, and the flavors are bold and unapologetically spicy. You get that signature tingle from the Sichuan peppercorns the kind of heat that keeps you reaching back for more. Portions are generous and everything is made fresh to order. It's a good a spot to order family style if you're in a group to explore the menu. Some items we usually like to order include their hot and sour soup, Chongoing Spicy Chicken, cumin lamb (they also have cumin beef), green beans, braised bean curd with pork, and their crispy tofu.

Tried YH Dim Sum and it totally hit the spot!…read more Everything we ordered was on point the shrimp rice rolls, sesame chicken, and BBQ pork were all so good. Flavor, texture, portion... no notes. The lychee martinis were a highlight (especially since they were doing BOGO ), and the staff made the whole experience even better super fun and great energy. If you're craving dim sum and a good time, this place is definitely worth the stop.

I love visiting Saint Augustine so I was so excited when I found this dim sum restaurant!…read more Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was dining by myself. I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.
