Service was quick and efficient. Our server was kind . Food was delicious and came out fresh and hot . We ordered beef chow fun and dimsum (shrimp balls , chicken feet , shrimp shumai , pork bean curd) . Definitely coming back with more family and friends . Also loved how they are Cambodian owned .

We were in the mood for Dim Sum and our go-to spot was closed. Man oh man am I glad we stumbled upon this spot. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was amazing. The buns were soft pillows and the filling on everything was just scrumptious. We ordered multiple items on the Dim Sum menu as well as General Tso chicken. AHHHHHMAZING!!! I cannot say enough how good everything was. The waiter was on it as well, our drinks were never empty and food just kept coming out as it was ready. This will definitely be a spot we visit again. I only got 1 photo because as the dishes kept coming we devoured them immediately!

One of the best dim sum places in town. The stuffed eggplant is delicious. The main server can come off rude but just give it back to him.

Burned oil made fried shrimp balls taste burned. We came at 2:10 pm on a Sunday and the place was empty. We ordered fried shrimp balls, potstickers, and sesame balls. Shrimp balls had a dark brown color and had a distinct burned taste. Potstickers fell apart when picked up. Sesame balls we're ok. I complained to the server and he argued with me. "We have to cook them that way so the inside is cooked". We won't be back.

Have been here a handful of times for their takeout dim sum and boba tea, both of which are great. The dim sum selection is a step up from the other dim sum restaurants in Jax. Hardly anywhere else sells shrimp rice rolls and chicken feet, which are two of my favorites. The prices are also great compared to the other dim sum restaurants around Jax. S & R is everything I need when it comes to filling my dim sum cravings. I tend to do takeout because the restaurant is on the quieter side and there isn't much going on inside. Wish there was music or TVs going, maybe that would invite more people to stay and eat. People who work there are great and accommodating. They have all the chili oil, soy sauce, noodle sauce, and dumpling sauce in containers so that you can enjoy the dim sum at home as you would in the restaurant. **A sleeper dish is the general Tso's chicken, nice lightly breaded pieces of white meat in a flavorful sauce. My favorite general Tso's I've had in Jax so far!

Absolutely incredible!! We ordered so many difference dishes and they were all delicious!! 10/10, everything was fantastic! A MUST is the pineapple crusted egg custard buns, it's basically a desert but it's SOO good! I really enjoyed the pork rolls as well, and the vanilla cashew shrimp with rice! You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The service was fairly quick and the price was very reasonable. The shop is quiet, with minimal decorations, and we came with a larger group which they accommodated.

I ordered DoorDash from here tonight since I'm in Jacksonville on business this week and everything was very good. The potstickers were the juiciest I've ever had and nicely fried. The steamed pork buns were also very good, although they got a little mushed when delivered. And the beef crepe, although it has a different name, was also good, and it came with a soy dipping sauce. The mango cheese tea was delicious as well. Overall I would order from here again or go to the restaurant if I was visiting the city.

They had available free parking. This is a no nonsense dim sum restaurant. You don't go here for ambience or small talk with the waiter..... you go here for tasty, fresh dim sum! The waiter seemed a bit serious but was attentive and efficient so I won't complain. I will come back and will recommend you try it!

Food was ok 3/5 (see pics) nothing to write home about Service was bad 1/5. There was only 1 server and he had an attitude from start to finish, I never saw him smile the whole time and he set the dishes on the table so aggressively, and talked rudely it was extremely annoying. Based on the other reviews, this wasn't the only time he gave bad service. The owners should read customer feedback and give him proper training and instructions. How hard is it to be nice? If he's overwhelmed due to being the sole server there, then the owners should consider hiring another server SMH Ambiance was above average 4/5 but no amount of good ambiance would make me come back for mediocre food and subpar service. To think that we went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. She wanted to try this restaurant but we ended up being disappointed. If I could turn back time, I wouldn't have spent my $100+ there. We would've been happier eating at Chick fil A where they always give great service day in and out ‍

Do they have gluten free options for dim sum?

Yes!! My husband eats gluten free & we love this restaurant!!

Do they have spicy mustard? Not yellow or Dijon but the one usually eaten with dim sum?

I do not believe they have spicy mustard. You have to think this is a dim sum restaurant that serves dumplings, noodles and buns steamed or fried. I have seen and used soy sauce, the hot chili oil, and something similar to a duck sauce but I have… Read more

Do they have the dim sum cart where the staff pushes it to your table so you can see what you want? If so, from what time to what time?

We ordered cucumber salad in spicy sauce and soup dumplings. We've never had either dish anywhere. Service was very friendly but we thought at first it was slow for what we ordered. The answer to that was, there was a party ahead of us that ordered quite a few dishes, but we were served before them, SO the answer became apparent that the kitchen was slammed and we were fine with that! The cucumber dish was fantastic! The soup dumplings looked and tasted fresh and delicious. The one downer was only one dumpling had soup, but we poured the spicy sauce on them and that was great. Looking forward to trying new dishes I've never had before.

We got two styles of dumplings: The chicken and cabbage, and the shrimp and chive flavors. We enjoyed the chicken and cabbage one the most. We also got one of our goto's: Turnip Cakes. These were also good, but very soft, almost fall apart. We also got some soup dumplings. I was wondering why they didn't give us any soup spoons, which is customary. Now, I may know why: There was no soup in them. They were soupless dumplings. I also ordered some spare ribs. I thought I ordered some blackbean sauce ones, but maybe I either mis-read the menu or they brought the wrong ones, because these were more like black pepper ribs. Regardless, they were decent, and tender. Even the connective tissue around the bones wasn't too tough. One dish I wouldn't get again was the Rice noodles with bbq pork. It was very bland. They don't have a large menu of non-dim-sum items. The service was decent, and the restaurant isn't very large.

While we ended up ordering more than we could possibly fit in our stomachs, we were okay with that, because we could continue enjoying the food at home. Once we put in our order, dish after dish kept on coming out, filling our table and dazzling our eyes and noses. The highlights of the evening were the pork and chive dumplings, whose filling was plentiful, savory and was perfectly blanketed by a chewy silky wrapper perfectly pan fried, but not oily. The other amazing dish we both gobbled up without delay was the fried rice, that was seasoned to perfection and had big chunks of pork throughout. Fried rice like this can be so simple and yet so delicious - highlighting each of the ingredients individually and how they work together in harmony. Overall, the experience at Lucky Cat was exemplary, and I can't wait to return!

We had a 10 minute wait as the restaurant was busy with patrons. The menu was extensive and the food came out, hot and tasty within minutes. They had all the standard Dim Sum fare. The restaurant was basically themed and noise was not overwhelming. It's a nice spot for a casual dinner or a date.

The beef rice noodle rolls had no flavor at all and it was ground beef for the filling instead of a compacted beef roll like a mini meatloaf that most dim sum places have. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I always order a lot of dishes because I like what I like and I also know I'll have leftovers. I sent back the pan fried taro pudding because it was so bland and it didn't have many of the main ingredients in it. If it were there, it was so skimpy I didn't find any. (The Chinese sausage and dried shrimp) The pain fries soy sauce noodles were overcooked. It's suppose to be pan fried and it was not. Also very skimpy on the black mushrooms. Not very flavorful. The Steamed shrimp dumplings were mediocre. The skin was gummy and fell apart. The shrimp filling wasn't too bad. The shrimp with rice pasta was probably the best dish there. But it was still lacking in flavor. The steamed ribs with black bean sauce was very bland. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The braised chicken feet were over cooked. The texture was horrible like eating mush. The flavors were also off. The egg tarts looked good but the flavors again were off. Borderline going bad. It had that slight aftertaste of sourness. The shell was also flavorless. The BBQ pork buns were also disappointing. The ratio of bread to filling was off. Very small amount. But I was a little happy this happened because the filling didn't taste good at all. The hot tea was also disappointing. I always order jasmine tea when having dim sum. They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

They're at 10586 Old St Augustine Road in Mandarin with a nice size parking lot so their location is great and parking isn't a concern. I'll get to the food in a minute but I'll start by saying that before we opened our fortune cookies at the end, I jokingly said "I hope one of these says 'you will get your original Facebook account back". They didn't say that but I included a photo of both because I feel like they're close enough As far as food goes, we split the Peony Sampler for an appetizer and loved it. It definitely did it's job as a sampler because now we know we like all of their appetizers and would order any of them on their own in the future. I ordered Egg Drop Soup after that because it's a favorite of mine. I always add a little salt to their version of it but I add salt to a lot of soups so that may just be a "me" thing. I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once. She also had a lot to take home, so she's happy with that too. Thank you again to the person who posted about Peony in the group recently. We had a great lunch thanks to your reminder.
