This little hole in the wall Chinese takeout place is something you'd miss if you weren't looking closely. One of the things that stood out to me is how clean the restaurant is. You're greeted by a sweet lady that knows the ins and outs of her menu. I saw here greeting guests and repeat customers as if they were family! Felt homey and definitely appreciate that aspect as I looked through the menu. I decided to get my usual, General Tso's chicken and subbed the fried rice for beef lo mein. Portion size was the perfect amount and was great value for the price. I was also happy with how fresh and hot my food was made to order. Flavoring of the sauce was a bit lighter than I'm used to, but that's just personal preference. I'll definitely be coming back here if I'm in the area and wanting some Chinese food!

We always do Chinese take out on Sunday and was on wrong side of town to our normal place. It's your typical take out place with all the usual food suspects. Overall the food was ready quickly, store was clean. Food was just OK. Not bad but not great. The hunan chicken was chock full of celery, which I don't eat. Picked it out piece by piece and it filled 1/2 a quart size rice box. Might eat there again but in no rush.

I wanted to like this place, because it's so close to home. The interior was clean in appearance, the food was ready in a timely manner, and the lady working there was lovely. This was worth a star. The main reason I was there was for the food, and it was lacking in taste. I ordered the beef with mixed vegetables combo. For the egg roll, the wrapper was tough and the filling was dry. My beef in the entree was tender but tasteless and fatty. It was a lighter color than what I am used to beef being. This seemed to be low quality beef. The fried rice was basic. My husband ordered food here this past weekend, and thought the food was not good. Of course, he didn't tell me this until after I had placed my order online.

I was recommended this place by two of my friends and decided on a whim to try it. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a super nice lady. I ordered the General Tso Chicken (extra spicy) lunch special. The lunch special comes with fried rice and a cheese wonton. I also ordered my fiancé the Sesame Chicken lunch special and a side order of cheese wontons. The food was cooked really quick! I only had to wait like 15 minutes after I ordered and everything was ready. Super friendly staff! Cheese wontons were crispy, delicious, and full of cheese and crab. I like how they don't skim on the filling over here like most places and their sweet and sour sauce was just right! The General Tso Chicken was pretty good, but it wasn't spicy at all in my opinion. I'm taking off one star because I literally only had one big piece of broccoli and it wasn't a good piece. Also, the sauce wasn't as spicy as I hoped it would be. However, they gave me a lot of chicken and the sauce was still good despite not being as spicy! It came with a lot of fried rice too which tasted great! I saved some leftovers and heated it back up and the food was still yummy! My fiancé didn't enjoy his Sesame Chicken as much as he thought it was over-salted, but I tasted it and it was fine to me. He doesn't like a lot of salt in his food. Honestly, for the price of $6 and some change, their lunch specials are a deal! Food is decent, service is friendly, and they give you alot for your buck so I wouldn't mind coming here again!

This place is legit. I'm back three times in the first week to order the exact same thing! Stellar items: the sesame chicken, general tso's chicken, shrimp with broccoli, crab rangoons, egg rolls just to name a few. The lunch special is unbeatable- a huge selection of dishes, plus fried rice and a crab Rangoon for under ten dollars. They're quick, friendly, and the takeout containers are also nice to reuse. I'm hooked!

I stop by Green Lakes for take out often. My favorite dish is Tofu with Broccoli and Shrimp Egg Foo Yong. All the menu items I've tasted have been very good. I usually call to order the Tofu dish as it's not on the menu. Otherwise ordering online is very convenient. You can also pay online or at the store. Samantha is very efficient and when they say 10 minutes for pick up you usually don't have to wait longer than that. You can also eat at the store but seating is very limited. With all the building renovations at this mall the restaurant has moved from next to the Metro Diner to a store front across from Publix. They share the parking lot with Publix and other stores so it is always busy. Be extra careful when getting in & out of the parking lot. Good job Green Lakes for consistency in the quality & taste of food produced 7 days a week.

I stopped by this restaurant again for a quick meal. They are super fast with the orders. They are currently pick-up only and have a nice little window where you can pay and pick up your food. Just call in for your order and pick up. They aren't rude on the phone either like some other places. I got the beef and brocolli with lo mein. My go to is usually the general Tsos chicken but I decided to not have any fried stuff with breading. The beef and brocolli with noodles were seasoned perfectly. Very great taste and texture. The food was not too greasy like other chinese fast food places. I'm definitely coming again and would recommend to others for some good chinese take out.

The most stars in the area for Chinese joints in a 10 mile radius, so with my handy dandy Yelp app in hand I set out to see if it was better. We arrived indecisive and their patience was thick, that was greatly appreciated. Our order: veggies in brown sauce dinner combo with shrimp fried rice and a cheese wonton instead of a egg roll, orange chicken dinner combo and chicken on a stick with fried rice. I went back up to the counter to add a order of cheese wontons and she was already putting them in my bag, COMPLIMENTARY!! Free food always makes my night!!!! So thank you for your great customer service. The ONLY con is that my vegetables were basically raw, almost like they weren't sautéed at all so I sautéed them myself for another 10 minutes. If it wasn't for that they would've gotten 5 stars!!

Service was meh at best: the young ladies were more interested in their phones and there were two of them to one of me. I initially wanted to try the soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), but the waitress convinced me not to as "they take too long" to prepare. Instead I went with the pork fried dumplings and the Taiwanrse sausage. The dumplings were very average: not bad flavor but they had a flavor and were uniform in a way that suggested they came right out of a bag from the freezer. There are much better and fresher dumplings to be had in Jacksonville. The sausage, however, was quite good. It was taught, porky, and had notes of five spice & maybe cinnamon. It further reinforced my view that meat always tastes best when served on a stick! It helped bring in the final score two three stars, making up for poor service and mediocre dumplings.

What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The side dishes were very flavorful, and I also purchased two drinks that were absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided good customer service throughout my visit. The only thing is that they told me that they do not clean tripe in Korea which was hard to believe. I do want to share a concern regarding the preparation of the tripe soup. After beginning the meal, I noticed that the tripe did not appear to have been cleaned. At first, I wondered if this was simply the restaurant's style of preparation, but after researching further, I learned that improperly cleaned tripe can be both unpleasant and potentially unsafe to consume because tripe comes from the stomach lining of the animal. Uncleaned tripe may still contain food residue, digestive material, parasites, worms, bacteria, and strong bile or waste odors. This can potentially lead to issues such as foul smell, unpleasant taste, food poisoning, bacterial contamination including E. coli or Salmonella, and symptoms such as stomach cramps, vomiting, or diarrhea. Proper cleaning is generally considered an essential part of preparing tripe, especially in professional restaurants where customers would quickly notice if the cleaning process was incomplete. Overall, I appreciated the kindness of the staff, the quality of the drinks, and the excellent side dishes. I am only sharing my personal experience and concern specifically regarding the preparation of the tripe soup.

The decor and vibe definitely give Asian street market -- I loved the neon signs. Thomas was our server and he was friendly, quick, and attentive throughout. We ordered the Twice Fried Korean Wings, Bonchon, and Chili Crisp Cucumbers to share. The wings were delicious with the best crunch, almost like candied chicken wings. My only complaint is I expected more heat from the gochujang. The Bonchon is essentially a flight of pickled sides: sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet pickled carrots and daikon (similar to what you'd find on a Vietnamese banh mi), and a well-fermented kimchi with mild heat and great flavor. We also ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Soup, and thought we ordered "Chow Fun" noodles -- but "Chow Faan" is actually their fried rice dish. Word of caution: if you want their take on Chow Fun noodles, order the "Beef Haw Fun" instead. The star of the show was the Hong Kong Wonton Soup -- the broth was authentically Asian, distinctly different from a classic French-style broth built on onion, celery, and carrot mirepoix.
