We've had roast pork egg foo young, pepper steak, Szechuan roast pork with vegetables and Mongolian beef and all were excellent. We've also had spare ribs, hot and sour soup and egg rolls. The egg rolls are very good. The hot and sour soup is very authentic with prominent flavors. The fried rice is very tasty. We had been searching for good and consistent Chinese take out for years only to be disappointed until we found China 99. We are always happy with the food here and we will definitely order again. Still great! This time I decided to try the pineapple chicken it was very good. When I think pineapple chicken I think pineapple everywhere or even pineapple sauce this however didn't have quite as much pineapple as I would have thought. There were a few bits of pineapple but tons of chicken. The flavor was really good I just wish there had been more pineapple. I still think the honey chicken is better but one day I will be ordering the pineapple chicken again! As far as Covid goes, there were no rules about wearing a mask but I did wear one in, they did not have on masks but there was a safety barrier. There was also a hand sanitizer station. The prices are very competitive and, as I said, the food is pretty good. The last couple times here have been pretty good so I decided the update my review to 4 stars. We have moved away from the combo dinners and have just be getting the full dish meals since you get so much more chicken that way and the combo can leave you high and dry at times. Our go to are the Kung Pao Chicken and Honey Chicken. The Honey Chicken I will say is the best I have had at any Chinese restaurant so if your a fan this is the location to get it at. We also tried the Pineapple Chicken for the first time and it was pretty good too. The only part we were not the biggest fan of was that it didn't have a lot of pineapple actually in it. I have to concur with others that this restaurant is deserving of more than three stars. I had the lunch Chicken and Mixed Vegetables entree, with pork fried rice and I added an egg roll. The egg roll was exceptional. Full of flavor, with a hearty, crispy outside without even a hint of grease and a refreshingly complete set of vegetables inside. Many places have little more than cabbage these days. My entree took about 10 min to prepare, and came out hot and fresh. The sauce was light and did not drown out the flavor of the vegetables or the chicken. The pork fried rice was well seasoned with saffron, and the rice was firm along with the bits of vegetable mixed in. I didn't see any evidence of egg in my rice, so a little deduction there. Again, few places prepare it with egg and sesame any more - but I keep hoping. This is primarily a to-go restaurant. There is seating, and the restaurant itself is very clean. That said, it's not big on ambiance - and I was the only person to sit and eat in the 40 minutes or so I was here. I recommend this place. It's as good a New York-style Chinese restaurant as any I've been to. read more

Not to be compared with SoFlo Chinese, or New York Chinese though. That being said there is always plenty of shrimp in the shrimp fried rice, no skimping on ingredients with the house lomein. The veggies are always fresh, not over cooked. The pork and veggies is exceptional. One of the few places that offers a pu pu platter, with shrimp toast, and as someone else mentioned, they make a darn good honey chicken. Not soggy or over sauced, and more chicken than breading. Boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time. I ordered beef and broccoli and he had the general Tso chicken. We also had the crab Rangoon and the donuts. The first thing we both noticed immediately was that the broccoli was bitter. It was so bitter I had to take every single piece of broccoli out of my food. I couldn't even eat it. Parts of my meal that had broccoli touching it had traces of bitterness. I had to google why broccoli would have been bitter, and found out it was basically old. There's no way we were the only ones that got bad broccoli yesterday. Maybe just a bad batch but that can definitely ruin the whole meal for someone. I ordered delivery from this establishment yesterday and it was pretty decent. It was easy to order online and the food was ready quickly and delivered hot. As a picky eater, they were 100% on all my requests. What I had issue with was the packaging, I had two of my entrees fall into the bag because they were in flimsy styrofoam and not stapled shut. When I picked them up from the bag, I had turn them a bit to fit them out and plop, into the brown paper bag went my lo mein. I was able to recover it but when I saw my sauce for a different food item all over another box on the bottom, it seemed there was a consistent trend with poor packaging.
