    Tripleta Sandwich
    Kristine S.

I was really craving mofongo when I stumbled upon Latin Creations on Yelp. I just knew I had to stop by and give them a try. Hubby joined me for lunch, we ordered a few things to share: beef empanada, tripleta sandwich and mofongo con carne frita. Our food came out fast and everything was delicious! The beef empanada was freshly fried and perfectly crispy. No shortage of seasoned ground beef. The tripleta sandwich was loaded with chicken, pork and beef. The cheese was melty and gooey. It all came together wonderfully with the special ketchup/mayo sauce. Excellent bread as well. The mofongo was very good! Heavy on the garlic which I loved. The carne frita/fried pork chunks were done really well - tender and flavorful. They served the mofongo with a cup of traditional yummy broth. Simple and classic Puerto Rican flavors, friendly service, great prices. Definitely worth giving them a try!

After a morning of shopping, we stopped by Latin Creations for lunch. We had lunch and leftovers for dinner. The mofongo was terrific as was everything else.

I pass Latin Creations almost daily and while I've stopped in once to look at the menu, this was my first time ordering there. I picked up food to go for six people and we tried the chicken, beef, and pizza empanadas; rice and plantains with fried chicken; mofongo with fried pork; mofongo with shrimp in a red sauce; Cuban sandwich; and sirloin steak with onions in a red sauce with rice and plantains. After ordering at the kiosk, we went to the dining room to sit and wait for our food. I noticed that on the far side of the counter they had a cafeteria-style line for plates. That may be a more efficient round to go next time. Everyone loved their food. The mofongo in particular was delicious! It was very well seasoned and full of garlic. The rice wasn't quite as successful but it was ok. Portions were very good. We look forward to returning!

Here is the food that they told Amex I had eaten.

** Update** The owner Maria decided to post a response to the below review. In her statement she says that they were opened until 6:00 pm on the 24th of December. However, I was told by her staff when I ordered the food on December 17th and put a deposit for the catering that they were going to closed at 12:00 pm and the reason why I left work at 11:00 am to pick up the food on December 24th. In addition, Maria is not being honest about letting the charge back pass because I received an email from Amex today saying that they did not agree with my dispute, because according to Latin Creations I ate the food. So does Maria think that I picked up the food from the trash and served it to my family for dinner? These people are gaslighting me and I am done with them. If they truly were sorry the best way to handle it was to let the charge back go through so I could get my money back and not disputed it. Another reason why I would never go back to their establishment. I ordered their Christmas special for 4-5 people on 12/24 I picked it up because they told me that they were closing at 12:00 pm. I left the restaurant around 11:45am and headed home with the food. As soon as I arrived I opened the food and looked at it. I proceeded to open the pork first. When I opened it the pork had a foul smell like it was not cleaned before cooking. I tried a piece and it tasted horrible. I closed container and put a side. I then tried the potato salad which tasted like aluminum because by their own admission they have made it a few days before. I then opened the rice with pigeon peas which was pale and had no taste. Needless to say the whole thing taste HORRIBLE!. I had people coming over in the 24th so there was no time for me to contact them so they could make it right. They closed by 12:00pm on the 24th and closed all day on the 25th. I had to rush to the store to purchase food because their food was not edible. I opened a dispute with my credit card and included photos of the food in the trash because this is where it belonged. On 1/7/26 I got a call from Belinda who was upset that I didn't reach out to them about the food quality and to let me know that no one else complained about the food except for me. I proceeded to explained the above and that I got diarrhea from the food that I tasted within a few hours and the inconvenience it created for me having to run last minute to the store to cook for the 25th. Belinda didn't seem to care about anything that I explained except about the money they were going to loose. I have been a client of this establishment since I moved to Jax 4 yrs ago never had a problem with their food or staff. But to call a client and dismiss what they told you is not only unprofessional but rude. I explained that I had sent Amex a statement with photos of the food in the trash. I offered to send her the above as proof but she was not interested in it. She said that Amex didn't send them anything. Today I found out from Amex that they told them that I ate the food which is a LIE. Amex also told me that they send them the photos and my statement. Latin Creations are not only horrible business owners but liars as well. I will never eat there again, I already told my friends and family what occurred and they are not interested in giving business to an establishment whose quality is O, treats their customer like garbage and also lies. If anyone is interested in good food, go to the Flamboyant across the street from Latin Creations or Flavorican. you won't regret it.

We happened upon this restaurant right before they closed. Even though they were close to closing the lady at the counter was accommodating and let us order dinners and large appetizer platter. The food was all delicious. I had never had mofongo before and food it savory, well seasoned. The steak was nice with the salsa on top. The appetizer tower was yummy! We loved the pork and chicken on the bottom level. The plantains in the middle were nice and crispy. I also loved the cheese on the top. The ladies were so nice too. I thought the decorations were very colorful too.

Ordered a Mofongo tray for 15 people! Ordering was breeze as well as the pickup. I forgot to ask for the mojo to go with it. Not an issue because I made my own at home. My guests loved the Mofongo which I knew they would. I will order from them again!

This a great spot for quick Latin food. I tried: The beef empanada, it was ok. The meat is not super flavorful and they are not stuffed enough. The white rice was cold. The fried pork chunks were nicely fried but can use a lil bit more seasoning and please offer lemon wedges. The red beans were perfect!!! The fried chicken was fried to perfection as well. It is perfectly located, but parking can be limited due to the large number of businesses in this lot. Pricing is very reasonable.

    Red snapper! Delicious!

Service was friendly and excellent! Food was amazing, I had the red snapper, salad, sweet plantain and Mofongo. Monfongo was the best I had! Red snapper was moist and flavorful. I can't wait to go back!

White Rice and Beans pastellon (ripe plantains w ground beef) (similar to lasagna without the pasta) & mac & cheese (my favorite) side dish. I can't forget their amazing Sangria! The service is warm & inviting. Ambiance is Homie; family owned, always pleasant & my server (Nicole) is phenomenal, bilingual & great recommendations. Must visit! Thank you.

Awesome place! Came by after church and ordered a kids meal: arroz con habichuelas y pollo (rice & beans w/chicken). A plate of arroz con gandules, pernir, and yucca. A mofongo con camarones al ajillo. The kids plate came first, then the arroz con gandules plate lastly my mofongo came way later seemed to have been a mixup. Nonetheless they were kind and apologized. Then asked if I wanted dessert.I said limber de coco they gave us 5 total ones for each of us.That was kind, and thoughtful. Prices were great! Not expensive at all, portions were decent not overly full. The inside was nice and spacious, tables with chairs and a hightop area with stools. Stop in and enjoy!

We stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast menu isn't big with a few sandwich selections and a breakfast plate. They also have baked goods and croquettes and another item like a croquette but made with plantains. The lunch hot bar looked and smelled amazing. Which I must come back for next time! I got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. My husband got the ham, egg, and cheese. They were large sandwiches that are pressed and cut in half. We split both sandwiches and our consensus was the ham was better but the sausage was also good. The ham just had a little more flavor all over the sandwich. We ordered a plantain item for our little guy which was filled with meat and delicious! We also got their cafe con leche. It was strong and creamy! The inside is bright and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful! Can't wait to go back!

My very first visit brought back fun foodie memories when visiting Puerto Rico several times and eating many homemade dishes when I lived In NJ. My favorite Latin sounds could be heard while outside of the restaurant and more so upon entering. The interior decor was spacious and made me feel like I was away on vacation in P.R. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The owner helped make me feel at home and was super professional. Then came the food and my refreshing non-alcoholic drink. My appetizer was a lobster empanada...Oh my how yummy! One of the lunch specials of the day was a Chinese Puerto Rican fusion style fried rice platter. My choice of protein was the popular fried pork chunks. French fries and an egg roll were included in the platter. Another popular favorite condiment was the "Mayo-Ketchup" sauce that one can drizzle on the food and as much as you please! To help wash down and add a nice sweet balance to the food, I ordered the "Guayaba" fruit juice. Fruity and tropical taste of its own. I skipped breakfast knowing that this visit would require some nice portions to enjoy. I was right and very pleased with the overall taste of the food. If you haven't had Latin food from the Caribbean then hopefully you'll consider visiting Flavorikan and try some of their cuisine. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

There was no line so I went up to look at the menu to see if anything interested me. I ended up getting the sampler ($12) which came with a taco and an empanada along with rice. I asked the owner for a suggestion with regard to the meat in the taco and he said that he recommended the pulled pork taco and a beef empanada. So that's what I ordered. I also added a side of plantains ($5). When I opened up the container, it looked pretty simple. My expectations honestly we're not that high. But, when I bit into the taco, I knew I was dealing with something pretty exceptional. The smoke on the pork was fantastic and the cilantro lime sauce added an additional layer of flavor along with the pico. I was definitely impressed. The pork was better than most of the barbecue restaurants around town. The beef empanada was also very good. The meat was well seasoned and very moist. While the plantains were a little dark for me and not as soft as I usually like them, I wasn't disappointed with them. I did find the mix of ketchup and mayo a little odd as a dipping sauce for the plantains. They didn't need it so I didn't use it. The portions here were sizable - the empanada and taco were stuffed with meat. The owners were very friendly as they took my order and the wait time was very short. All of this, in addition to the wonderful flavor of the food made this a five-star truck experience. This was definitely a better option than what I was originally planning to eat!
