I stopped by on a weekday right at 11am when they opened. The restaurant is quiet, clean, and has nice decor. I ordered the asopao de pollo. The serving was enormous, but the flavor seemed bland. I really got a huge caldero of broth, rice, and a few chunks of chicken. I also ordered a side order of tostones and they were hot, fresh, and delicious. My waiter was very kind, prompt and polite. I would like to go back and try again, but I'm expecting to spend a lot based on their prices. I'm sure the food will be tasty.

Fun ambiance. Love the music and karaoke. Brought my friends from out of town and had a blast. Will keep going.

So I tried this restaurant on the west side of jax off Timuquana - Latin House Grill ‍when I tell you it was the WORST Latin food I have EVER ate I started eating my food then I noticed something moving in my food then I started recording and seen these maggots, I'm so Pissed ‼‼I called and they said they were closing so to call back in the AM for the manager. I called back, nothing.. I went up there and they kept acting like I shouldn't be mad and it was my fault I wasn't going to make this post but I couldn't resolve it with them and the lady even tried to call the police on me and I was so nice. I would never come back here ever again WJXT4 The Local Station / News4JAX LatinHouse GrillJax

Came in Monday 5/29 for lunch it was great! Food tasted so yummy, we started with quesito frito with guava paste but they were out of guava paste so we settled with mayoketchup. Not my first choice, but we made it work. Drinks ordered : a sweet tea, morir soñando, coco rico, espresso, and two coquitos! The coquitos were Good!! Entrees ordered: Cubano Combo, Bistec Encebollado, Boricua Combo, Mofongo de Camaron al Ajillo, side of rice and habichuelas. Let me start off with my plate the Mofongo de Camarones; not what I pictured I got a massive mofongo ball, a cup of sauce that tasted like a salty caldo, and a pot of camarones in the garlic sauce. It wasn't my favorite way to make mofongo. I did eat half but I won't order it again. All in all food was good and the service was excellent !! Our waitress was amazing!! Ambiance was lovely, Puerto Rico license plates all over the walls, congos, bongos, and microphones for live music on the weekends it looked like. Total for everything $136. Not bad at all for the Great Quality for a Great Price

When you walk in and hear the music it instantly lifts your mood, like you should be somewhere in the Caribbean. The food is pretty good. The chicken and rice is a very generous portion. The seasonings used on the chicken were very good. The spicy shrimp had just the right amount of heat. Served with a side salad and a large portion of yellow rice. Happy hour from 5-8pm. This leads me to my only disappointing time of the evening. The guys each ordered a beer. They wanted to order a second one before the happy hour ended but the bar tender avoided coming back until exactly 8pm.

Looks can be deceiving. Looks kind of small from the outside but come in and it is amazing! We ordered the Pernil, tostones, arroz con guandules, beef stew, rice and beans and mofongo! The food is incredible the service is fast and very friendly! We will be back...

    Maggots

Neverrrr eat here! There were maggots moving in the food. When talking to the manager she was very rude/ unprofessional and threatened to call the police. Please don't eat from here, you will be sick. I have had food postponing in the past from this place and never knew why.

Great lunch, good sized portions. Server was friendly and helpful with explaining the menu

    Trifongo and Monfongo

Although the menu was in Spanish, below each item was written in English which was a plus for me. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. We started off with a beef and chicken empanadas. Both were season perfectly. Along came with 3 tasty sauces that also complimented our entrees. I personally would buy the hot sauce. I had the trifongo with roasted pork which was extremely moist and tender. My husband had the beef steak with onion. The portions were very generous enough to have leftovers for the next day.

So my boyfriend decided on a Sunday afternoon that he wanted Sopa de Mondongo (Tripe soup) for lunch and we were on the hunt for it in Jax. The place he wanted to go to said that they had it on Sundays only but when he called they said they had the Sancocho, a meat stew that's similar but not what he sought out. I watched him die on the inside a little bit. I pulled out my Yelp app and found Latin House Grill quickly, open on a Sunday, and they had his Mondongo. It was a bit of a hike coming from the other side of the river to the Westside but based on past reviews I knew that it would be worth it. We got there and upon entering I felt like this place was THE SPOT to be on Fridays and Saturday nights. To the right was the bar, dance floor/live band/karaoke area equipped with a spinning disco ball. To the left was the dining area. The wait staff greeted us as we walked in a promptly sat us at a nearby table. Latin music was on point. You couldn't help but shake your shoulders to the beat a bit. My boyfriend convinced me to get a Malta to drink since I'd never had one before. It's a malt beverage brewed from barley and hops just like a beer but with no alcohol in it. I went with it and noticed how it immediately tasted similar to molasses. Not bad but for this visit I'll stick with just one. He ordered the Sopa de Mondongo, Chicharrones de Pollo (fried chicken bites) with black beans and yellow rice. Once again, he "Mmmm"-ed and "Oh my god"-ed and "'This reminds me so much of home" the whole time. He was in heaven. I ordered the Ensalada de Carrucho (Conch Salad) with a side of Maduros (sweet plantains). I saw a pic of the salad while researching the establishment so I knew what I was getting into. I was still surprised when they brought it out. It was a mini mountain of conch. I've only had conch before at the St. Aug Seafood festival and that was pretty good, but this was soooo much better and you get enough for the price. There were some pieces that were a bit chewy but I didn't care. I ate the entire thing with no regrets. The plantains were fried just right and didn't need anything added to them. We were both full and very happy in our decision to come here. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive. We would gladly come back.

It was clear that delivery orders were being prioritized over in-person diners, which is unacceptable. Despite having ten staff members behind the counter, the service was remarkably slow, and the manager on duty appeared to lack the necessary training in operations and staff management. (5/22/26 afternoon) Furthermore, the quality of the food was disappointing. The jerk pork was dry and the jerk chicken did not meet Jamaican standards. Additionally, after being informed that my original side order was unavailable, I was inappropriately asked to pay an extra fee for a replacement. I strongly recommend that they re-evaluate workflows and prioritize walk-in customers. Customers should never have to wait for meals, while Stars prepare Call-In Orders. Folks, avoid this restaurant and choose another restaurant that values its customer. TEN staff working behind the counter are incapable of serving customers within ten minutes.
