    Spicy pork bop

I originally wrote a review so long that yelp told me it was too lengthy of a review to post. So I'm starting all over. It was funny, had some detailed key points but now I'll keep it basic and short(er). Another establishment that I tried three times, and decided it's not for me. All the social media, all the reviews. I don't get it. The bowls are too expensive for the quality you get in return and this has been the case since they opened the brick and mortar. I could go to Publix next door, grab better quality ingredients, and make a spicy stir fry myself for about the same price since groceries are so expensive too these days, plus get more meals out of it than one. If I had time that night to do that, I would have. Unbeknownst to me, my third visit was on deep cleaning night. That was fun. The sweet sweet sounds of metal on metal scraping a grill the entire 30 mins I was there. No music, no sound from the tv's, just the ambiance of chef back there taking out the weeks frustration on a metal grill while customers were not only present, but eating. Customer service 101, side work is for times when customers aren't present. The food photos look pretty. Prettier than they taste. The restaurant needs much tlc. When I first sat down. A rolling bus cart with dirty dishes in it was right in the middle of the dining room. Were they busy with customers in the dining room? No. My party of two, and one other that dined in, that's it. I actually walked in to the person behind the host stand apologizing to all of the Uber eats, door dash people for having to wait so long for their food. I've had their boba tea, their cheese dogs they added some time after they opened. If you want good boba tea, go to a place that specializes in it; same with the cheese dogs. The Korean food truck off beach Blvd has phenomenal cheese dogs (that you can order meatless too) the ramen dog I tried here wasn't bad but I would wait and order at another place where I can grab a meatless one that has more flavor on the outside. Okay, I could go on but instead I'll just include the pics. The clear soup was good! It's boring to look at in a picture but that was the best thing I tried.

This is a truck that I've been wanting to try so we were glad to see them at the Riverside Arts Market. We went with the Korean fried chicken and bulgogi. We also got brown sugar milk boba and the strawberry mango tea. Our food was ready quickly. The portion sizes were excellent with both meals. The fried chicken had great flavor but it was perhaps slightly overcooked. The bulgogi was flavorful and tender. The bowls also had a small salad, piece of fried gyoza, white rice, and glass noodles. The fried chicken bowl has sauce on it but the bulgogi one could've benefited from some type of sauce as the noodles and rice were a little dry. Our drinks were great and the cups were not overfilled with ice! The boba had an excellent texture. Overall, the value is pretty good here. Having a little sauce in to go containers would've made this meal even better.

Korean hotdog, half cheese half hot dog and a brown sugar boba.

Amazing food, GREAT SERVICE, very clean and calming atmosphere. We have to come here more often.

Strictly just reviewing my short experience with the food truck at the River Arts Market. The guy who helped me was nice and they made my Brown Sugar Boba tea super quick. I went fairly early so the gargantuan line that sometimes occurs wasn't a problem. I loved the cup design! The taste was really good and while not a crazy amount of tea, it was/is a fair price. I won't hesitate to order again.

Food was not good quality. Pre frozen veggies and tough meat. Korean corn dog was good though

When I saw K-bop was coming to my neighborhood, I was stoked. Why? I've seen some of their food pictures on Instagram and was excited to finally try their food! I went onto their website to check out the menu and saw that I could preorder, which was a nice touch, because many times when we have food trucks come to our community, it can be a mad dash of neighbors all trying to order at the same time. I placed an order for 5 pm (online) and about 15 minutes later I got a call from K-bop. The gentleman on the phone said he just wanted to confirm that I'd be picking up in my specific neighborhood, because on their website it said a different address. It was a nice touch, just to confirm. They also mentioned that the meal would be done closer to 5:15pm. I arrived at 5pm and let them know I was there. The gentleman said that it would be about 10 minutes. I waited ten minutes, went back up to the truck and they gave me my order. What did we order? I ordered the beef bulgogi and my husband ordered the KFC (Korean fried chicken). I liked the fact that everything came in a bowl. I opened up my order and the beef was thinly sliced, the salad in the bowl was crisp, there was also a dumpling (to my pleasant surprise), noodles, and rice. I bit into the beef and it was a sweet and savory marinade. Really nice flavor, the beef was tender and not chewy, the noodles were delicate, the salad was crisp, and the rice was fluffy. I ate the entire bowl down in less than 10 minutes. My husband really enjoyed his Korean fried chicken bowl. I did not taste it, but he also had a clean plate. Pros: -Ability to preorder -Plentiful portions and filling meal -Quick turnaround -Nice staff -Good product Cons: -My inability to save some for leftovers Tips: In a pinch or worried about having to wait in line for a while? Preorder on their square site and be sure to check-in with them when you arrive, so they know you're there.

As much as I like K-pop (music), I now am a fan of K-bop. It was love at first bite. K-bop Jax is the latest addition of food trucks to open up and serve the Jacksonville area as well as surrounding areas. What makes them different is they serve Korean food, making them the first food truck to serve such food. K-bop Jax is 3 weeks new into the food truck business. We had a chance to meet the co-owners Eric and Anton, really cool guys. They are good friends that have worked together previously at another job for 9 years. Now they have ventured together once again, bringing Korean food wherever it is called for and needed. Now on to the food... I ordered the Spicy Pork Bop, KFC - Korean Fried Chicken and Kimbop, which were all delicious. The Spicy Pork Bop especially, had great flavors, and it was not overly spicy. You can check them and their on-site schedules by following them on Facebook and Instagram.

On the fence about the 4 stars. If you have never eaten Korean food then you are all set. To me who has lived in Korea-you will look at the bimbimbop and there are a some similarities to a traditional Korean cuisine. This bimbimbop had broccoli. Why was there iceberg lettuce? not a tasty addition to this fish. I will say the meat was done well and the other veggies that were placed. I was not so thrilled about my fried egg. I get that you are in a good truck but it seemed to me that the egg was cooked in a cookie sheet this morning and then reheated again. The egg white was dark brown and quite crunchy. The center was soft as it should have been My hubby got bulgogi which was sirloin and tasty. For some reason they place iceberg lettuce in the bowl.....Korean don't eat that ever. I mean was it worth it. Sure. Tasty yes. Was it Americanized Korean-yes. The guys worked super hard and were super nice.

Y'all!!!!! I went to Korea today and had one of the best meals of my life. I pulled up to the restaurant and was greeted with the smell of charred meat and my mouth started watering. As I walked in I was greeted by the host taking orders and a menu on the screen. It was so hard to decide what to eat but I did it. I ordered kimchi pork ramen, a hot Cheetos corn dog, and a strawberry mango boba and just know I was not disappointed. It is seat yourself and they give you a number. I sat down and waited. The restaurant gave me such a welcoming atmosphere. First to come was my tea accompanied with a bowl of chicken soup that is absolutely delicious, for you to start with while you wait on your food. As I finished my soup my corn dog arrived looking yummy as ever. First bite I was a little thrower off by the sugar on it but the more I ate it the more I loved it. It was cheesy, slightly sweet to offset the spice but overall it was delicious. While I was biting my corn dog my Ramen arrived and y'all listen I would have slapped everyone in that restaurant for another bowl but I'm not a violent person lol. The kimchi was sour, salty and full of flavors that I didn't know I needed in my life, the egg was cooked to perfection and the charred pork left me speechless. With every bite I closed my eyes and did my happy dance and did not care who was watching. I will definitely return soon to try other items on the menu. The politeness of the staff to the delicious food that was served will forever be burned in my memory. I know every time I think of this place I will rock with my eyes closed thinking about every bite of food I had. Y'all!!! Go eat and rock I promise you won't regret it

I finally got to try their food truck since it wa son our neighborhood. I had the kimbap, which was really good, the star of the night, crunchy Korean pickles veggies, the beef bulgogi was sweet and delicious. The vegetarian bibimbap was just okay, it wasn't crispy, which was expected but the tofu was lack of flavors and the rice was soggy from the kimchi sauce. Overall, I would give it another try and check out their other items.

Outstanding Korean food truck. Great look. Very nice people. Outstanding food. Tonight I had Kalbi bop. Outstanding kalbi which, if you don't know , is marinated short rib over sticky rice. I also got kimchi. The kalbi was excellent and generous. The entire meal was delicious and authentic. The kimchi was fresh and delicious. I also got Spicy Pork Bop for tomorrow. It also looked wonderful. If you see this truck, go and enjoy true Korean bbq. If you're not familiar with this genre of food, know I just turned you on to a delight you'll thank me about later. I was impressed. By the way, my Korean born mother-in-law who cooks like a trained Korean chef would be very pleased with this food. So... what are you waiting on?

KFC Combo meal with a Taro Boba Tea in the background
    Jo El S.

K-Bop Korean Kitchen NOW has a brick and mortar restaurant in the Publix shopping strip off Southside Blvd. I am THRILLED to have a delicious Korean restaurant so close to my work! Currently they have a special for a FREE Boba Tea if you order two meals. After ordering I received the *best* Taro Boba Tea I have had in town! I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken combo bowl that comes with a dumpling, japchae (glass noodles) and rice, and some vegetables. My husband ordered the Pork Combo. While I liked the flavor of the chicken, unfortunately, the chicken was over fried and turned out dry and a little tough. My husband's pork combo was PERFECT and so succulent! I was really jealous of his. We had enough food afterwards to eat it for lunch afterwards as well! We will absolutely be BACK! I can't wait to try more things on the menu.

We decided to order the Steak Wrap, the Murphy Chorizo Burrito, and an order of loaded Hash Rounds. Our food was ready in about 5 minutes! We brought it home to eat, but I have to tell you, the tantalizing aroma of all those spices and goodness was enough to make me want to rip open my box right there in the car! This is some of THE BEST food I've had anywhere in a long time! The grilled veggies (peppers & onions) were perfect-not too hard, not too soft (although personally I prefer mine a bit softer, I think the Bearded Chef has it just right, cooked to please almost anyone.
