What a lucky course of events! There is seating both inside and outside. The interior clean, bright, elegant and simple. The staff were friendly and we were served very quickly. The only wait was for the coffees ordered at my table. They were fantastic as well. I ordered the Tiramisu pie. Amazing texture, velvety layers, perfect flavor blend, bold, just the right amount of sweet...delicious. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.

I was welcomed into the store as soon as I entered. The young man asked if it was my first time at the bakery. Then he took his time to give me a tour of the sweet and savory bakery items that they have on display and taught me how to select items by choosing a basket and a set of tongs for my choices. I purchased a banana muffin, which was almost as big as my fist and still could only eat half of it in a sitting. I also ordered the turkey sandwich on a ciabatta roll, which was just the perfect combination of meat, greens, avocado, and cheese in a beautifully baked roll.
