Quest fundido... a must try. Not all fundido is make equally and this one did not disappoint!
Heather S.

Found this spot by accident when some friends were in town and my go to was closed.... NOT mad about it lol. New favorite taco spot in st Augustine! The spicy margarita was phenomenal and all of our food was The decor seems newer compared to the Beach Blvd location I tried after this spot was found. Much larger too. Don't pass this place by. The parking lot was empty and inside mostly as well on a week day we went (usually a red flag to me personally) but I'm guessing it was because it was a weekday. Had friends in town so we were playing tourists mid week. Love this spot!!

I brought the whole family to this place so I could get some tacos. The reviews looked pretty good and the atmosphere being a play on Nacho Libre sounded like something worth seeing. For a strip mall, the inside was neat and clean. Ana was our server and she did a great job. I ordered tacos lengua and a horchata. It came with a green and a red sauce, and neither of them were very hot. The tacos were packed with onion, cilantro and meat and came with radish and lime. Excellent flavors, definitely some of the best tacos I've had in a while. There was a plain shrimp taco, special burrito, grilled chicken bowl, and beef enchiladas. I tasted a few things and everything was pretty good. What appeared to be canned corn on the grilled chicken bowl would be better as fresh or maybe improved with a quick skillet singe. Overall though, we enjoyed it and if in the area I would definitely come back and try other tacos.

I think this place is pretty good. Not totally authentic but good. It always seems warm And the service is iffy

Biking around St Augustine we found this place off the beaten path. Google rated it higher than Yelp. So glad we listened to Google this time!! Tacos were amazing! Service was great and the restaurant was so much fun! We had nothing negative to say about this place

An enjoyable visit with the family, the staff was very nice and accommodating to the requested changes... I got the Enchiladas Suizas, very tasty... overall, 5 stars

Chori Chicken Plate

I've never had a bad meal or experience at Taco Libre. Food is fresh and served hot. Have tried a few other places but always seem to come back. Enchilada Suizas is my favorite dish or Chori Chicken. Really recommend Taco Libre US1 at 16 Location

We dropped in late afternoon and grabbed a few seats at the indoor bar. The bar staff here works the entire bar I'm sure we were greeted by all of them during our visit and each provided exceptional service. The drinks here are very creative and all come with very generous pours, if you like rum this is a place you'll fall in love with after your first sip - we decided to just go down the drink menu and try as many as we could responsibly and immediately knew this would be a favorite when in the area. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite drink and it would be just as tough to pick a favorite off their small bite menu. We decided to try a few of the specials, it's a relatively simple menu but everything is filled with flavors that are incredible - the char-grilled oysters are plumb, fresh and unique in every way, the fried black grouper bites were crispy served with a delicious remoulade and a spicy jalapeño chimichurri that will light up your tastebuds, we also tried the jerk chicken thighs skewers and amazing crab empanadas filled with a curry concoction like no others. The portions are large enough to share and really balance out the cocktails, this was a really nice experience and one I plan to repeat in the near future, with all the options in St. Augustine this one is at the very top of the list in my opinion and with parking at a premium in the area they have plenty, definitely worth a try...

The renovations are a massive improvement over the previous bar, and the atmosphere is genuinely lovely. The Good: The food is generally solid. The fish dip and salads are nice, and I've had the smash burger a few times--it's amazing. The fish sandwich I ordered was very bad and I couldn't get a member of staff's attention so left it uneaten. The Bad: Unfortunately, my most recent visit was entirely derailed by the service. We sat at the bar and the experience was frustrating. The female bartender (dark hair, glasses) repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to order, and then got my drink wrong. When I tried to correct it, she literally walked away. My friend tried to order for me, but three bartenders were huddled together chatting and completely ignoring the patrons. We spent a lot that night, and leaving a fish sandwich I didn't enjoy (and couldn't send back due to lack of service) just added to the disappointment. I sincerely hope management addresses the bar staff's lack of attentiveness, because if this continues, this cute place won't last. I'd be happy to speak with the manager directly about this, as we are locals who want to keep coming back.

Arrival: There are parking lots nearby--expect to pay around $15-25. As we walked up, there was live jazz music playing in the courtyard, which set a really great vibe right away. Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. Great time overall--will definitely be back.

We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. Every bread had its own distinct flavor and texture. Next up was the sausage appetizer featuring both a sweet sausage and a spicy sausage, all made in house. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. The service was fantastic, the food was memorable, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to for many more dates!

One of the coolest touches? A TV disguised as a piece of art that's actually a live stream of downtown St. Augustine. Such a fun, unique detail! Now let's talk food I ordered the shrimp and grits tacos, and WOW--they were packed with flavor. The grits added this unexpected crunch that worked so well with the shrimp. The textures blended perfectly and made every bite interesting. My husband went for the Miyagi beef tacos... and let's just say there were zero leftovers. He cleaned his plate, which says everything. Great vibes, creative food, and a memorable experience all around. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

I had an I-10 when I was there. Service was great. The friendly and helpful bartender was a good man, letting me grab a quick drink even though I wasn't staying there. We even called to ask if they were open because it was hard to find the entrance (on three surrounding blocks) and the person who answered the phone said yes we're open, inside the Collections or Collectors or something like that. No mention of it being private to hotel guests only. So we wandered in from the heat of a 90 degree day to an empty bar with the A/C blasting and one lone employee standing there who politely apologized but refused to sell us a drink as we were not staying at their property (big shrugs all around). Could someone please explain to me what sense it makes to pay a girl to stand alone in an air conditioned bar with no customers and refuse to take our money? We were nice, she was nice. But dear owners/management, you are dumb.
