One of the best shops in St Augustine! The wide selection of wines, flight offerings, and food pairings was all amazing. We enjoyed a white sangria and a Malbec along with a cheese board. What a little gem of a spot! This wine bar has some really nice Sonoma and Napa wines on their menu. I had the prestigious white wine flight which I loved. Loved this cute wine bar in St. Augustine. They were overwhelmed at first when we said we had a group of 10. They asked why we didn't call first to reserve a space lol. We just wanted to have a glass and hang outside, and it ended up being fine. Some people did flights, others got glasses and even mimosas. The prices are very steep considering I buy many of these wines from the store regularly, but it is touristy Downtown St. Augustine. I did a flight of Red Blends and I think it was about $35. The pours were a nice size and it came with tasting notes about each so it could be self guided. The girls working were friendly and even came over to the other patio to check in on us, which they do not usually do. Had an unfortunate experience at Bar39 on Saturday afternoon while visiting St. Augustine for a birthday trip. We had enjoyed starting our day here on a previous visit, which made this experience especially disappointing. Our group included both visitors and locals. After sitting down and ordering mimosas, the server asked for IDs and refused to accept multiple valid, government-issued driver's licenses from the District of Columbia and Maryland, stating they did not have color photos. When we asked for clarification, the server became defensive and stated he had the right to deny service, rather than explaining the policy or attempting to resolve the situation professionally. The interaction was uncomfortable, and the attitude was shocking from the moment we arrived, so we chose to leave. As an area full of tourists, the staff checking ID's should be well versed in state issued IDs and/or have a policy in place to verify the characteristics of a non-Florida ID. After leaving Bar39, we visited several other nearby establishments, all of which accepted the same government-issued IDs without issue. read more

We absolutely loved our time at Bin 39 We decided to step inside this cute little quaint tasting room before dinner and we each had a flight I had the prestigious whites. There was a South African a New Zealand a Napa and a Sonoma... they were all very good. The flight of reds were quite tasty as well... no reservation is necessary you can just walk in very cozy they had a beautiful woman singing just outside in the patio was a little bit too cold for us to be out there so we sat inside one of their cozy tables... Quaint little bistro and wine garden tucked into the north west end of the historic district. It's primarily a wine tasing venue. However, they have a limited breakfast menu, but we stopped there for the charcuterie board and a glass of wine. The board came with 2 meats: salami and prosciutto, your choice of 3 cheeses, crackers, some assorted veggies and grapes. Additional combos were available. I thought the value was good as the portions seemed a bit larger than I'd typically get at other places. The bartender selected a good average priced Merlot to pair with it. There are only a few interior tables, but there are several tables outside in a large courtyard. There is also occasional live entertainment. Everything tasted great. Let's talk about Bin 39. We stumbled upon this adorable tasting room off of St. George Street, part of the St. George Inn. We were lured in by the promise of charcuterie, but we will be back for the awesome service, delicious wine, and fabulous vibe. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and made some really incredible suggestions and recommendations. There is an awesome selection of varieties and prices, so a little something for everyone. At first, we stared off at one of the outdoor tables, but had to move it inside due to weather. We'll dine alfresco next time. We ordered a charcuterie board for two, which was LOADED with cheese (we picked brie and mancheo), meats, nuts, veggies, fruits, and crackers. St. George Inn is a really nice boutique bed and breakfast hotel and Bin 39, which is within St. George Inn is where breakfast is served not only to guests of the Inn but to the public as well. Bin 39, however, is much more than a breakfast area. It has a really superb wine collection and with its courtyard location, ideal for enjoyment and listening to various musical entertainment. For its great location, superlative wine and craft beer offerings and most friendly staff I'm giving it my Yelp 5 stars. read more

Stopped in on Sunday as I was walking St George St. I didn't have any expectations except for good wine. Girvn that taste in wine is subjective, I try to keep my personal taste out of my reviews. When the very focus of the business is wine, then I feel the need to weigh in personally. This experience was underwhelming. I got the mixed white/red flight. Here's the rub...your flights are a representation of your wine expertise and the wines in you offer. If you're gonna charge $35 for 4 two ounce pours, you should be pouring damn good wines. The two of us aren't wine snobs, but we've had our share of good and bad wines. This flight was mediocre. The Merlot was the only one that might have been worth getting a glass. Otherwise, bland and uninspired comes to mind. We had a good laugh, as we went from taste to taste, and they never improved. The Merlot, fittingly, was last. Attention to detail is also important. One wine on the flight, a Pinot Noir was listed both on the menu and on the flight as Pinot Nior. While this is minor, it does seem to be representative of an overall lack of attention to detail in the business. Service was good. It was not great. It kept the review from being 1-star. Will I stop back? Doubtful. I'm certain I could peck around their menu and find a good wine, but why bother. I'll do that somewhere else first. read more

I couldn't wait to return home to write this review. I am impressed! I have lived in St. Augustine all my life and while it is beautiful and there's lots to explore, I truly feel like I've done & seen it all... until now. Bin 39 left a lasting impression from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. My friend and I stopped in after seeing bin39 featured on an account I follow. We visited on a Saturday around 2:30 pm and stayed until after 6 pm. We started off with the white sangria which was super yummy and sweet! It lasted us for quite a while and was super affordable compared to what you would pay for a glass in a restaurant. We then opted for the international flight which was a surprising switch from the sweet sangria! They were pretty strong wines but an experience overall. We also had the pita and hummus which was sooo yummy! While we sipped our delicious wine we got to listen to two performers throughout the time we spent there. Jolie is known all over St. Augustine do it was a pleasure to see and hear her perform. All of the staff at Bin 39 were the best! Each one was personable, friendly, and they seemed excited to be at work, which is rare these days. While at Bin 39, I felt like I was on vacation! It was very relaxing and enjoyable. We bought our drinks inside and and nice little cheese board. Great in the mid afternoon, needed a nice chill spot for a beverage. This was perfect. I love the Bed and Breakfast bar that got to big for it's space, that they invaded the courtyard. You will find Bin 39 in a cute courtyard near the St. George Inn Bed and Breakfast. It started out as the B&B's in house bar but quickly outgrew the space. It's not hard to see why either! The service was quick, and the servers were so polite. Food menu is small but mighty. Our family of five got the deluxe meat and cheese board. It was a hardy portion of food that five of us struggled to finish, but every bite was worth it. Found out this place on my way to the bathroom and everyone who was sitting outside were giving good reviews about this place so why not give it a try. The seating is mostly outdoors so come here for the atmosphere, on Sunday's there is live music which is nice, but come early for seating because if you don't have a table with a red umbrella then they won't bring you any food. The shop has outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoor seating comes with live music which was a nice touch. The wine list is extensive. You can enjoy wines by the bottle, glass or a generous flight. By the glass on average were $8-12. For $10 you have 4 2 oz pours of wines of your choosing. The flight is served with a bowl of Chex mix to munch on while drinking.
