Came here on a Tuesday night with some friends. Was happy they had a N/A beer option and even some CBD infused cocktails. Dive bar feels and had a lot of seating available. It wasn't super busy so the wait to sing karaoke wasn't bad. The girl hosting it did a good job rotating people and letting us know if any songs have been sung prior upon request. I liked they she had multiple microphones so you could sing duets or with your friends. They had pool tables and other games offered in the next room if you didn't wanna be in the main bar. They also offered a back patio area where the bathrooms were also. I can see this place getting much busier but I'm glad I didn't go on a busy night. We had a good time! read more

I stopped by The Pub at Anastasia and went for the fish and chips, and it did not disappoint! The fish was crispy on the outside and flaky fresh on the inside! Due to staying at the hotel next door, we decided to stop in and enjoy a few drinks on a Friday night. Do not visit if you wish for any specific liquor. This pub only serves well liqour! I opted for a Corona since I was not going to drink whatever well liquor it was they were serving. The bartenders were not the friendliest. I observed the bartenders and bar back drinking beer and taking shots while working during my visit here. The draft beers people were ordering kept running out and the bartenders would have to keep leaving the bar to figure that situation out. The Front Door to the bar locks at a certain hour and an alarm would set off if pushing it open. I find this to be super annoying and a safety concern. To exit you then have to push pass the swarm of college age kids to exit out the back into a parking lot instead of the front door onto the main sidewalk that is well lit. The only thing that kept me was the karaoke that was going on and I enjoyed that. read more

Service from the Bar staff (Leanne and crew) was 5 star. Great conversations, quick service, checked up very often and were super supportive of all of the karaoke singers. On the other hand, I attended "the Pub" for the karaoke which I would say was sub par. The male host had minimum control for the sound quality, often allowing for loud and continual feedback on songs with minimum effort to fix the issue or offer another song to those that had horrendous issues during their performances. That did not seem to happen for any of his friends. He also seemed really concerned with only getting his friends and followers up whenever they wanted, and allowed any of the young lady's in attendance up as often as they liked. There was no real sense of a list or rotation, he was visibly critical of any song choice that didn't strike his fancy. I was able to sing 2 songs in a 3.5 hr period while I watched his entourage sing 4 and 5 songs each in that period. If you are attending with young college age women, or you are a friend of the host, this may be an ok spot, but if you are alone of simply enjoy doing karaoke you may want to find another place. read more

Beware - Not a Safe or Welcoming Spot This place has some serious red flags and I would absolutely not recommend it--especially for families or kids. The karaoke is run by someone who clearly plays favorites, only letting certain people sing while others are ignored. Don't be surprised if your song never gets called. There are reports online (and I witnessed similar behavior) of sketchy groups interfering with other patrons' pool games--one person even mentioned a glass being thrown during an altercation. It gets worse: a group of people were openly helping themselves behind the bar like they owned the place. The bartender was unfriendly and seemed indifferent to what was going on. It's unclear who actually runs this bar, but if the owner is around, they clearly don't care. Honestly, this place feels unsafe and unprofessional. If ever there was a bar in need of a visit from Bar Rescue, it's this one. Tourists and locals alike--do yourself a favor and steer clear. There are plenty of better, more respectful venues in the area. read more

Absolute dogsh*t place to go unless you're under 23, you could try and get in to illegally drink. They serve shitty pours and if your hispanic, you know what it is in St Aug. Visited Anastasia and came here two nights in a row and Jack was the bartender. Place was so much fun and Jack an amazing bartender. Tuesday they have free pool and free darts every night. When we come back this will be our first stop and main watering hole for sure. read more

We had returned from seeing Flogging Molly at The Amp and decided to grab an after-concert drink before retreating to our hotel room. Since The Pub was literally next to our hotel, we decided to check them out and enjoyed our experience. When you walk inside from the front door facing Anastasia Boulevard, you feel the British pub vibes immediately between the wooden floors, table tops, and chairs you see. There are three dartboard lanes to your right, with a small stage in the back for live music or karaoke on this specific Saturday evening we visited. While they serve liquor, it's mostly well bottles, with the focus being beer, a couple of ciders, and hard seltzer. I enjoyed a couple of bottles of Samuel Smith beers -- specifically, the Organic Lager and the Oatmeal Stout, while my wife had some White Claws. The vibes were buzzing between the mostly occupied pub and the people taking turns performing karaoke that was going on non-stop. The bartender was friendly and made sure we didn't wait long for drinks. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and would return for another round. read more

I love karaoke and frequent a few bars in St. Augustine and Jacksonville on a regular basis. I recently decided to try this bar because they have Karaoke every night. WOW, this could a regular hangout for me. However, It's a young college crowd - many singing vulgar songs. Plus, the DJ does not follow a rotation. She called me once, and then several people got to sing two or three songs ahead of me. I asked if she skipped my song. She apologized and I sang five songs later. Blink and you will miss this nondescript bar located on Anastasia Boulevard in St. Augustine. My favorite city in the world is London, so I quickly noticed the Union Jack "PUB" sign outside. We were early for our reservations at a nearby restaurant, so we stopped in for a couple of beers. Our group entered through the back patio and the first thing we noticed was how beautiful the exterior of the bar was decorated. There was plenty of room to sit outside for several groups. However, if you choose to sit outside, you still must order at the bar. The bartender on duty was just ok, nothing stellar. We ordered our drinks and some fries and onion rings to munch on. Food was basic pub food. It was brought out from the back proportioned in plastic baggies to be reheated by the bartender in an air fryer or microwave of some sort. I have no complaints being that we were hungry and our dinner reservations were not for another hour and a half. We missed karaoke by a few minutes but they had a nice setup complete with a shadow dancer in lights. Stop in for a quick drink/bite or two. It is worth it to see the beautiful exterior patio and interior decor paying tribute to the UK. Keep in mind there is no liquor served here, only beer and wine. read more

Really fun place but there are fights sometimes and it smells like farts and sometimes they skip you in karaoke

Fun spot with both karaoke and darts. Came on a Sunday night so it was relatively quiet but karaoke was ready for whenever you wanted to sing. From what I can tell though they aren't able to "back you up" if you are a really terrible singer (which I am). They had a nice selection of beers and even a couple special cocktails on tap like a karaoke rose or something like that. read more

I wish I had the option to rate this place zero stars! I use to love this place and went here regularly, but tonight changed my mind. I have a brother with cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. Tonight we took him out with us to this bar and all was fine.. until we decided it was time to leave. The regular entrance/exit was extremely crowded so we decided to use the other exit.. the alarm went off (didn't know that would happen obviously lol) the security guard began to cuss us out shortly after when we stated that it shouldn't be alarmed due to the difficulty of a handicapped person exiting because of the crowd. He was also drinking on the job and calling us "fucking assholes". Insane that this even happened and still in shock. Don't go here! Will never be returning. read more

My sisters and niece had a good time here. The karaoke was standard fare and they played dance music in between karaoke songs. Beware! They allow smoking in the bar so if you can't handle that do not come here. There is a wonderful back patio with a fire pit and decent Furniture. The bar was clean and uncluttered. There are also darts to play. We were even able to find a parking spot right out front on a Saturday night. Doesn't get 5 stars because both the DJ and the bartender went up to do karaoke before anyone in our party was able to although we had put our names in. Found that odd but hey we're not locals. WE both went in on a Monday.....it was slow.......we were the second couple to sign up for Karoke. There was only about 7 people singing including the DJ. we sang once.....we love Karoke....no one was there ....we were going to sing often. YIPPEE!. WRONG. ...The DJ sang 4 songs or more....all his friends sang over and over... we were NOT asked to sing again. Finally I asked If I could have a turn. He said Yes. I sang. We came in as a couple... He skipped my friend. His singing was more like yelling.. Great environment and awesome karaoke after 9pm.. the people are nice and welcoming and the staff too... They unfortunately don't serve drinks, only beer and wine... but they have KARAOKE! And most of the people that sang while I was there, were pretty darned great, felt like I was at some talent show.. jajja... If you're looking for a hidden gem this is your place for sure. We were staying across the road and decided to check it out. It was karaoke night and we had basically made friends with everyone there once it ended. Travis was hilarious and we made friends with him that night. Encounters like these are rare. I've never been into a bar where everyone makes you feel like a regular even if you're a tourist. Such an amazing atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Went there on 8:24/3019 for a birthday party. Started a tab with a Discover card. When we went to tab out the female bartender informed us that they do not accept Discover and pointed to a very small sign. Luckily we had another form of payment. The sounds of karaoke from across the street lured us from the safe confines of our hotel room. Smoke wafted out like a technicolor strobe lit version of Mount Doom. Inside the patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely, and we immediately relaxed...although that could have been the second hand nicotine. Honestly we would have passed this little hole in the wall by, but location, location, location; we could have hit the place with a shoe from our room. We were drunk so it missed. The beer was cold, the Karaoke surprisingly high tech (seriously) and the people watching extremely enjoyable. Unlike so many of the polished chains you encounter traveling, this place had soul. While definitely more of a local's joint than tourist attraction if you happen to be stumbling by and hear the siren call of a drunken choir we all love in that special moment of inebriation, give this place a shot. But if the second-hand smoke is a problem, pass it by. Or maybe listen from outside! read more

Wow, completely blown away by this place. When we walked in we were not expecting much at all. In fact, we had almost talked ourselves into not going. Man are we glad we went. Parked behind the business in the private lot. The sign marked the place well so we knew where we were going. Walked past the patio which included the outdoor fire pit and table. The bathrooms were outdoors as well. They were well decorated and clean. A nice change to the usual bar. Walked into the bar and there is a DJ booth and a raised floor for Karaoke. I think they have karaoke every night. The night we were there had some heavy hitters. One lady had a rock star voice and knocked it out of the park. A couple of other guys were good. Even when one did not know the words to the song he sounded ok and laughed at himself which made things really fun. We sat at the bar in fixed swivel bar chairs. Some great choices on tap and bottle for beer. They have a full bar and some interesting purchases such as jello shots and a shooter that included a sour gummy worm in it. Had I not of been driving I would have tried one as I love sour gummy candies. The staff was really friendly and having a nice time. The patrons were friendly even though we were the newcomers. They have a small food menu which is enough to coat your stomach so you don't have to leave to get something to eat. There are a couple of small restaurants nearby which have more choices. I am sure they would not mind if you ordered take out and brought it in the bar. The one downer (and this is a Florida thing so some would not see it as a downer) is they allow smoking at 9 PM and after. We walked in around 7:30 PM so we enjoyed and hour and a half without smoke. But man, 9 PM on the dot this place turns into a smoked up box. The decor is very British and newly (or seemed to be newly) done. Nice booths and tables. I would say it is a British pub for the younger vibe. Music isn't British but then again when you go to England and really anywhere other than the USA they play 80's and 90's American music. We loved our time here. We wished we would have had longer to enjoy it. If we are in the area we will definitely return. Prices for drinks were fair. Well done. My boyfriend and I were visiting St. Augustine for our anniversary, and were looking for a place to have a few beers after dinner. Trying to avoid the more touristy spots we'd passed by earlier that day, we made the short trip over the bridge and immediately were drawn to the simply named "British Pub," which seemed pretty straightforward. It was Monday night, which features a live cover band, and I must note that my boyfriend and I are both not usually fans of cover bands, but this band was pretty good. The pub is nothing particularly fancy, with typical neon beer signs, promotional posters, and numerous soccer jerseys and scarves decorating the walls. What is notable, however, would be the big parking lot next door (from what I understand is a rarity in St. Augustine) and the cleanest pub/bar restroom I have ever been into. I mean it. What truly made this visit so great though, was chatting with the owner, Dave, who is British, funny, and everything you would expect a pub owner to be. My boyfriend and I had a great time hearing some of his stories about St. Augustine, and he made a few restaurant recommendations for us, which turned out to be spectacular! I am very grateful for that, because it's hard to choose places to eat in a city like St. Augustine, which only has a small handful of unique spots for foodies. We had some Boddington's and Harp drafts, which I believe were $6. If you are in the area and looking for a no-frills night of drinks and great conversation, I highly recommend the English Pub. This is the place to wait for your name to be called at Osteen's Restaurant next door, you gotta be here to understand. This is a very typical local bar & pub where the locals mix with the outa towners as they wait to dine on seafood next door. There are a number of TV's all were tuned to the world cup and we watched Germany vs Ghana which was an exciting match. The BP has all the requisite beers on tap and a friendly husband and wife couple who double as owners and bartenders. Stop by and try a slice of Americana St Augustine style, you might even hear tall tales from those who say they swam with a 500lb. tuna, we did. read more
