I checked the Yelp reviews ahead of time and it definitely lived up to them. People in our group started with drinks and everyone at the table seemed happy with what they ordered. I had the red wine braised beef brisket for my main and it was excellent, very tender and full of flavor. My friend Damon next to me had the red snapper and I tried some of that too. Also very good. Someone else at the table had the Rockefeller crusted snapper and that looked and tasted great as well. For appetizers, I had the shaved pear and blue cheese salad. It was really good and honestly enough for two people to share as an appetizer. People at the table also ordered the Devils on Horseback and liked them. I do not eat bacon, but they were happy with that dish. The deviled eggs with southern fried oysters looked really good, and I had the smoked salmon spread, which was very good too. I also saw the shrimp and grits come out for someone else and that dish looked excellent. For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was a strong finish to the meal. Others at the table ordered the seasonal crème brûlée, which was chocolate that night. It looked great and everyone who had it said it was very good. Sunny was our waitress and she did an exceptional job. Attentive, kind, and on top of everything the whole night. In my mind this is about a 4.7 star experience, and I am rounding it up to a full 5 stars. Catch 27 is a great choice in St. Augustine.

There was no one at hostess stand because system was down and they were having troubles which I felt bad for the hostess who seemed stressed on obviously a busy night. They were out of both of the entrees we wanted, which was unfortunate but I ended up getting the catch beurre blanc and it was delicious. I ordered a sangria but our drinks took a very long time to come out, after our appetizer (crab, an heirloom tomato bruschetta which was yummy and more filling than regular bruschetta!) Overall, the food was really good and waitress was nice, but water was never refilled and everything took a really long time to come out. Would love to try it again on a regular night and hopefully they have the entrees we wanted to try:)

I love that they have a grab-and-go selection of meals, sandwiches, sides, and more within the restaurant. I ordered the Al Pastor Margarita and my server told me it was one of their most popular cocktails. After my first sip, I completely understood why. It's crafted with blanco tequila, lime and pineapple agave, Asado Orange Bitters (available for purchase), smoked salt rim, and a grilled pineapple garnish. For my entree, I went with the Asado Trio which includes picanha steak, house-made chorizo, and a signature-spiced chicken thigh. The steak and chorizo were both good, but I have to tell you - the chicken was the star of the show for me which I wasn't expecting. It was so moist and flavorful. Since I eat mostly chicken at home, it's never my first choice of protein when I'm dining out. That should tell you how wowed I was by Asado Life's chicken. The entree came with a house salad which was a very generous size. I really enjoyed their house vinaigrette and the toasted breadcrumbs. The potato salad side was a bit of a miss for me. I did not eat the peppers that came on it which certainly would have added some flavor. It was not bad but needed some seasoning and salt. In retrospect, I should have asked for some of the chimichurri used on the meat trio to add to it. Service was one of the highlights of the meal. My main server Stephanie was great and the servers worked well as a team. I had two different servers deliver my cocktail and then my salad, and everyone was genuinely friendly. I'm excited that they are opening a location in Jax later this year.

We were left feeling unwelcome and dismissed despite there being plenty of seating. Good service starts with treating guests respectfully, and unfortunately that was completely missing here. I sincerely hope the owners see this review, because I doubt they would want potential customers turned away or made to feel unwanted when tables are sitting empty. We left frustrated and took our business elsewhere. I cannot recommend this place based on the way we were treated.

They have a wrap around outside patio as well as part of their dining area but it's June in Florida so we made reservations for inside to not take any chances. The menu isn't huge, so check it out before deciding to dine here as I believe it can change regularly. My French onion soup was fantastic. If you don't order the petite baguettes, you're doing yourself a disservice. This is probably a top 3 bread experience for me. Crusty airy perfection. I went with the duck confit as I don't have many opportunities to order such a dish with the places we dine. The execution was solid - crispy and tender, flavorful, and accompanied by duck fat potatoes and red wine braised grapes. Extensive wine options along with beer but no liquor license. Our server Jessie was friendly and attentive while not overbearing.

Nice and juicy with a crispy skin. The potatoes (pomme aligot) were also delicious, the texture was smooth and just a little more substantial with the cheese. We ordered the profiteroles for dessert and they were served with a warm chocolate sauce which was not too sweet, just the right amount of dark chocolate flavor. The coffee was also very good and was served at the table in a mini French press. Restaurant provided complimentary sparkling wine since we were celebrating a special occasion. Would highly recommend and I would love to go back.
