We were just walking by and decided to stop for a beer and I fell in love with their Breakem Open Brown porter. It tasted like chocolate coconut and ended up having two. The bartender was Luke and he was so friendly and chatty. They offer Growler fills every Monday for $10!! It's inspired me to keep a couple empties in the car at all times, lol. The brewery area was all stainless steel and so clean looking. They also have a calendar of live entertainment. Definitely want to come back on a Monday!
Our server was excellent--I wish I could remember her name. She recommended quite a few places to us that we took full advantage of. The most hysterical part was the Irish brew they had on tap is literally my middle name. I have never laughed so hard--and with a complete stranger at that. She also had some friends at the bar and we all sat and talked for so long! Beer was excellent. Can't wait to come back and visit yall! HAGS & never change, girlie!!
Nice, clean and cozy brewery with helpful and attentive staff willing to have genuine conversations. I enjoyed the Lincolnville Lager draft and highly recommend this choice to anyone on a first visit. It's very balanced and all-around good tasting. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
While in the historic neighborhood of St. Augustine we happened to stop by this cool brewpub because we could hear the music. No charge as we walked inside and was so entertained by the great band that we decided to stay. The musicians were Pyletribe band with a former drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Artimus Pyle. The place has a great atmosphere and great beer.
A very fun brewery! Happened to stop by the brewery while we were in town and we really liked the vibes here. There are lots of activities, including shuffleboard, darts, and even watching college football on a Saturday. Their beer selection has a lot of different types from a logger to a stout to a red and more. They even had a pumpkin spiced flavored beer for the season. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are into breweries and in the area! There's also a pretty good selection of merchandise, we picked up one of their tin tackers.
Great vibes at this bar! Huge merchandise section, fun games and TVs for football! I wish the beer menu was a little larger but I did like that the variety was pretty large. Overall I really enjoyed our time here!
Great beer - cool space with an awesome side patio. Service was good & they consistently have food trucks & live music - I would plan stopping in during one of their events. Went with the Lions Head Honey Sour & was impressed. Tart but smooth.
Stopped in for a quick drink after spending the day at the beach. The inside of the brewery is decorated great with all jam band posters, darts, shuffleboard, and a ton of seating. Our server was fantastic offering all the local spots for food and where to go. A huge plus was they had a ton of non-alcoholic options which was great. The only thing I was saddened by is they don't have food.
Great beer, good vibes, friendly service. You can also construct your own beer flights for 4 dollars a pour. What more does one need?
I had a really good time on my visit to Dog Rose Brewing in St Augustine FL. I walked there from a seafood place a few blocks away and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The beer offerings were good, wish I had taken notes like I usually do, but I was already well into my evening with some beer and scotch already in me. On that cool Saturday night in St Augustine, there was a light breeze and it was probably about 60 degrees. Approaching the venue, you could here the live music and it was good. Kind of a jazz/rock/funk fusion. The band was quite good. I got to try a number of their beers. Didn't find one I hated, which is a plus. Wish I could remember more about the beers. They have food as well, but I didn't partake because I was already full. Maybe next time.
Really solid brewery in the heart of St Augustine just behind the Lightner Museum. The brewery has nice decor, indoor seating, darts, and shuffleboard inside. They brew the beers in the back on site, and the beers are solid. We ordered a flight, and then a full pour of the IPA. For me, the lager, the new IPA, and the Pale Ale were the standouts. I will definitely be back on my next trip to St. Augustine !
look another..Brewery ..and this one was a poppin' as you can hear the music a block away and the inside and back yard were full of Happy People. They have shuffle board and dart games, which I wanted to play but had a waiting line. The line of beers offered look great with a cider and wine offering also. Their IPA line up flight was a great choice for me. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, and service was hustling. Would certainly come back again and still want to play shuffleboard. :)

Great beer and excellent service. What can I say? They have a couple of excellent IPAs (my favorite) and a great stout or two. Thankfully, they only brew "real" (west coast) IPAs rather than NE/hazy style -- thanks for that! We'll be back! read more

Always love boating this brewery when we come to St Augustine. We came twice in a 3-day trip. Great beer selection and atmosphere, darts, shuffleboard, and lots of places to sit. I haven't experienced live music here but hope to one day! There are also outside tables if you want something quieter. You can see the brewing equipment which is always a cool thing at breweries. Keep it up Dog Rose! read more

As my beloved St. Augustine breweries have matured a few things have become very clear. If you are an IPA fan, this is the place to get one, or two, or a growler, or a six pack. When I say IPA, I mean clean, classic, deep, tasty IPAs. Doug is a talented brewer with years of experience. The product reflects that. And he's distributing. So even if a stop at the brewery doesn't fit your plans, look for Dog Rose on tap locally. You won't be disappointed. If you're around on a Monday, stop by for $10 growler fills. It's a great way to take some of this goodness home to savor at a later time. Don't misunderstand though, the board is full of winners. The Lincolnville Lager is perfect for those who like a lighter beer. This is what a light lager should taste like. Depth of flavor and clean finish. You've got a sour drinker in the group you say? If you're over there around the time of the writing of this review, the Lions Head Honey Sour is easily the best sour I've ever had (though admittedly, I'm not a regular sour drinker). And the Maibock is exactly what that type of beer should be. Malty, slightly sweet, cooper in color with a smooth finish. Yeah, I guess you can say that I'm a big fan of Dog Rose. I think you will be too. read more

I loved this brewery! This was my first stop of the night and I knew I wanted to go other places as well so I ordered the smallest golden ale they had....well she ended up giving me a larger glass so I made sure and tipped her the difference. I ended up meeting a local and him and the bartender gave me some recommendations of other breweries to try which the bartender definitely went above and beyond! Definitely would love to come back! read more

Located just a few blocks from the lightener Museum this brewery can accommodate large groups very easily. There is live music on select night's of the week with a huge stage. Several different brews on tap! we opted for the lager and the amber ale. Both were good! read more
Dog Rose was near our Airbnb which made it a great stop on our way back from visiting the historic area of St. Augustine. We stopped in several times. My husband enjoyed trying their beers and I enjoyed their Cabernet. They don't serve food but do offer bags of pretzels and other snacks. One evening there was a great band playing. In the afternoon or evening they are always busy. The staff is friendly and service was very good. read more

I stopped in to buy a growler today and was greeted by very friendly and knowledgable beer tenders. I tried two IPAs; Azacca and Roadside. Both were delicious, but I settled on the Azacca. I will be back some day to enjoy the ambiance! read more
