The most hysterical part was the Irish brew they had on tap is literally my middle name. I have never laughed so hard--and with a complete stranger at that. we actually went here twice. Once in the middle of the day when it was PACKED. No place to sit, even outside. Tried a flight of beers and had a large size of our favorites. The beer was very good. Came back in the evening that same weekend to play cork darts and it was dead. They had two hours left of business hours and we were the only ones in the place. Definitely a daytime place. read more

We were just walking by and decided to stop for a beer and I fell in love with their Breakem Open Brown porter. It tasted like chocolate coconut and ended up having two. The bartender was Luke and he was so friendly and chatty. They offer Growler fills every Monday for $10!! It's inspired me to keep a couple empties in the car at all times, lol. No charge as we walked inside and was so entertained by the great band that we decided to stay. The musicians were Pyletribe band with a former drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Artimus Pyle. A very fun brewery! Happened to stop by the brewery while we were in town and we really liked the vibes here. There are lots of activities, including shuffleboard, darts, and even watching college football on a Saturday. Their beer selection has a lot of different types from a logger to a stout to a red and more. They even had a pumpkin spiced flavored beer for the season. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are into breweries and in the area! There's also a pretty good selection of merchandise, we picked up one of their tin tackers. read more

It's been a minute since visiting Dog Rose but it was as good as ever. They have added their own food truck in the back lot. I had the slider, my wife had the quesadilla and we shared the pretzel. A really good addition the brewery. We enjoy the revolving menu of brewed on site beers. It a little litter fare being offered with the heat. It was really busy with Dewey Via playing music as he does weekly on Sunday at 3:30. Friendly staff, and great location make this place very special. read more

I recently left a mediocre review, but I can admit when I was wrong. I read "dog friendly" and made an assumption that meant inside as well. The manager responded to my review with an explanation and asked where I had seen this information. After I re-read the description I see that it specificies that dogs are allowed on the outside patio. I loved the atmosphere. I loved the pollen and ? (Sorry I can't remember the name of the beer I drank. I love that they have games. And I hope to catch some live music before I return to Arkansas. Stopped in for a quick drink after spending the day at the beach. The inside of the brewery is decorated great with all jam band posters, darts, shuffleboard, and a ton of seating. Our server was fantastic offering all the local spots for food and where to go. A huge plus was they had a ton of non-alcoholic options which was great. I had a really good time on my visit to Dog Rose Brewing in St Augustine FL. I walked there from a seafood place a few blocks away and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The beer offerings were good, wish I had taken notes like I usually do, but I was already well into my evening with some beer and scotch already in me. On that cool Saturday night in St Augustine, there was a light breeze and it was probably about 60 degrees. Approaching the venue, you could here the live music and it was good. Kind of a jazz/rock/funk fusion. The band was quite good. I got to try a number of their beers. Didn't find one I hated, which is a plus. Wish I could remember more about the beers. They have food as well, but I didn't partake because I was already full. Maybe next time. read more

Really solid brewery in the heart of St Augustine just behind the Lightner Museum. The brewery has nice decor, indoor seating, darts, and shuffleboard inside. They brew the beers in the back on site, and the beers are solid. We ordered a flight, and then a full pour of the IPA. For me, the lager, the new IPA, and the Pale Ale were the standouts. I will definitely be back on my next trip to St. Augustine ! read more

look another..Brewery ..and this one was a poppin' as you can hear the music a block away and the inside and back yard were full of Happy People. They have shuffle board and dart games, which I wanted to play but had a waiting line. The line of beers offered look great with a cider and wine offering also. As my beloved St. Augustine breweries have matured a few things have become very clear. If you are an IPA fan, this is the place to get one, or two, or a growler, or a six pack. When I say IPA, I mean clean, classic, deep, tasty IPAs. Doug is a talented brewer with years of experience. The product reflects that. And he's distributing. So even if a stop at the brewery doesn't fit your plans, look for Dog Rose on tap locally. You won't be disappointed. If you're around on a Monday, stop by for $10 growler fills. It's a great way to take some of this goodness home to savor at a later time. Don't misunderstand though, the board is full of winners. The Lincolnville Lager is perfect for those who like a lighter beer. This is what a light lager should taste like. Depth of flavor and clean finish. You've got a sour drinker in the group you say? If you're over there around the time of the writing of this review, the Lions Head Honey Sour is easily the best sour I've ever had (though admittedly, I'm not a regular sour drinker). And the Maibock is exactly what that type of beer should be. Malty, slightly sweet, cooper in color with a smooth finish. Yeah, I guess you can say that I'm a big fan of Dog Rose. Dog Rose was near our Airbnb which made it a great stop on our way back from visiting the historic area of St. Augustine. We stopped in several times. My husband enjoyed trying their beers and I enjoyed their Cabernet. They don't serve food but do offer bags of pretzels and other snacks. One evening there was a great band playing.
