My mom and I this evening decided to stop at the cider Smith, which is right behind Mojo city BBQ off of Spanish Street. They have a hostess stand where you can get food and drink drinks. They have oodles of tables outside as well as inside. My mom and I decided to stand at the cider bar and do the nine tastings for five dollars. They have three tastings that are a dry, a pumpkin pie, and a strawberry lime. They also have other tastings below that included in your nine tastings the lady helping us at the bar. Her name is Andrea and she was very knowledgeable about the product. She was giving us along with the ingredients of each cider, they just brewed a piña colada cider that does not have any dairy. My mom and I will definitely be back tomorrow for lunch as well as maybe getting a couple of their cider. They do recently have canned some of the cider that they have made. 10/10 read more

Purchased an array to try out a few different things. The only dish we felt was a stand out from the rest was the taco Mac. We went down to St Augustine with our friends from the Carolinas recently. It rained on and off but we don't let things like that hold us back from having a great day, so we kicked around and showed them a few of the usual things on and around St George Street. I'd heard a lot about Cidersmith when it first opened but totally forgot about it until we walked by it, so we figured we'd give them a shot for lunch having no real idea what to expect outside of the fact that they'd have cider, obviously. We ordered the White Cheddar Cheese Curds for an appetizer. I'm not even going to bury the headline: this was far and away my favorite part of the whole experience for me. First, the curds themselves were great. Second, they had pepperonis in with them! Brilliant! That's something I've never thought of but dangit...it makes SO much sense. The marinara sauce was good. Not outstanding, but good and really tied the whole pizza-ish taste together. I had the BBQ Pork Mac & Cheese, which was good. Nothing to write home about, but good. I'll say this: there was a LOT of pork in it and it was good meat. The cheeses were good too, so there wasn't anything "wrong" with it at all it just wasn't anything I'd say you have to travel here to order, if that makes sense. My wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Waffle Fries. She loved the chicken for being cubed up and lightly breaded. She really liked the big, what she called "funky chunks" of bleu cheese. She also liked that it wasn't overly hot, so that's good news for people who might be worried about that. So overall, she seemed to like her entree more than I liked mine. We both had cider flights and this is probably the hardest part of the review for me to explain. Coming into this I knew that all ciders seem to taste the same to me. Not sure why that is but it's just that way it is for me. It's the reason why I don't drink a lot of ciders, since I can't ever tell the difference. I figured I'd take a shot at ordering a flight to see how it went. Same story here: they all tasted the same to me. I want to be clear, this could be user error because again, that's how I am with all ciders. So others who've been here or may stop in may think I'm insane lol. Our server Kaitlyn was great, which I always like to mention when I remember. For me, the biggest win was the cheese curds and a lot of that was due to the pepperoni innovation. To the point where whenever we're on St George Street, I would say "Oooo, can we stop in for those rad curds?!". I was super excited to check out this new local cidery and overall had a great experience. The ciders were really good--especially the key lime & the slushy option, which both stood out as a must-try! I definitely look forward to going back again! I'll start by saying the cider is the shining star here. The food was good, but I wasn't super crazy about it, partially because I had a hard time eating what was on the menu. The cider though... they had more than 10 varieties plus one slushy to try. My favorite was probably the one that sounded the weirdest, which was a special flavor of piña colada. And yes, I tried all of them. Collectively, the samples were small and probably equal to about half a glass of cider. To me it was very well worth the five dollars and I would do it again. The staff were very friendly and eager to serve, and I was really surprised the restaurant was not more full on a Saturday evening at 6:30. I guess it worked out because they currently do not take reservations. If I could separate it, I would probably give the food four stars. The menu was fairly limited, but the staff is also working from a very tiny kitchen, so they did really good with what they had considering. The pretzel that I got was hands-down without a doubt one of the best ones I've ever had. My friends got the meatballs, flatbread, mac & cheese, and I got wings and plain waffle fries. We tried a little bit of everything and nobody raved about any one particular thing. It was all good but not "ahhh-mazing." This is a split review. Cider tastings- FIVE stars. You can try 3 for free or pay $5 and try 10- we all opted to try 10. My favorites were the vanilla and cinnamon, very smooth, silky mouth feel, the booberry was probably my favorite and I did love the frozen strawberry key lime and I don't even like key lime! Our bartender was great too, we had a couple allergies that she navigated. Lunch/restaurant- ugh, 2 stars. There were three of us and we each ordered something completely different and none of us liked our food. Me- Lobster mac- it had a burnt flavor over the whole dish, like something in the oven burnt badly and now that was tainting everything else- because the dish itself wasn't burnt. I hate burnt. Racquel- Taco loaded fries, the server said that they were more flavorful than another one she was considering, but she actually thought these were flavorless. I had to snap at her to stop eating it if it wasn't good. Cici got the fig and prosciutto flatbread and it was overcooked, the meat completely dry. The uncomfortable silence of none of us liking what we ordered fell heavily on the table. Cici and Racquel did split an app of the meatballs and said they were fine- but nothing special. No, none of us complained- but I would go back just for the cider. I wouldn't waste any time on ordering food. The order space was lovely! read more

We were excited to try this cidery so we walked down after dinner to check it out. The place was pretty busy with servers running around. Not realizing that we went through the back entrance we found our way to the hostess stand who was so helpful. She recommended we do the tasting first before grabbing a seat so we did. There's a free tasting of up to 3 different ciders but if you want to taste all 10 ciders it's $5. We did a tasting of all of them and they were just ok. I was expecting the ciders to taste sweeter based on the ingredients listed giving each different flavors but they were too subtle and the dryness of the base cider came through too much. There was an issue with our receipts where we were charged twice for the tasting after already paying for it and buying a separate slushie on a different card, but that the remedied pretty quickly. There were a lot of people around the bar for tasting and can be easy to lose track of what you're doing. The food looked really good but I'm not sure if we'd come back. read more

Good wings - I got the cider sauce. The KBBQ wings were overcooked but the cider ones were perfect. The fries were bizarre - for $10 I thought I'd get something special but it was a normal side portion of not particularly flavorful waffle fries like you'd get for free with your sandwich at any other restaurant. They were fine- my kids ate them- but I was expecting something special. My husbands salad was $27 once he added chicken and again, thought it would be big or delicious but it was just ok. All I have to say isCharcuterie is your friend! We ordered the pretzel charcuterie board for our dinner . It was wonderful, other than the beer cheese, there was some jalapeño jelly, fig Jam, & finally, honey mustard. We had pepperoni, prosciutto (seasonal meats), fantastic roasted garlic that melted in your mouth, mozzarella, "seasonal cheese spread", and olives. Centered inside our very large Bavarian pretzel. We had some great wait staff with Tegan, who was great, and as they say, swift on her feet. Brian brought us our food, he was super nice. Overall a wonderfully experience. Did the tasting and definitely not for me, mind you I love cider but this particular kind wasn't for me. I forget where the cider comes from but I believe it's made definitely vs what I'm used to. The only one I loved was the attitude sour apple which was very enjoyable. Given that it was valentines day it was extremely packed so best to go on a not to crazy day. Visiting St. George St. in St. Augustine and wanted grab something to eat before heading out. Looking for something that was a hearty meal but wouldn't break the bank. Came across the sign for this and peaked at the menu. Both my adult (21 & 19) daughters said this looked like the place to go. It did not disappoint! We ordered the Brussels sprouts and 2 flatbreads to share. They were incredible! We will definitely be back for the food. We did stop by and taste the ciders. They do a free tasting for the top 3 or you can pay to sample them all. They base their cider on more of a European style so it's not as sweet like your typical cider. They were ok, but I was glad for the samples. The vanilla was good, but we had a drive ahead of us so I wasn't drinking or I may have gotten one. read more

This business recently opened and we were excited to check it out. I am so glad we did! You can stop by the Tasting Room and get 3-4 (I think) samples or pay $5 to sample their full cider menu. That's what we did and had a good time talking with the Barista, Deb. I really liked the first 2 drinks on the menu. Deb said most of the flavors are seasonal and will rotate, but those two are thankfully staples. The food menu looks good too so we look forward to trying that next time. read more

A new favorite spot in historic St. Augustine. We were excited to visit the new restaurant tucked between St. George and Spanish Streets in downtown St. Augustine. The atmosphere is welcoming, but the real magic is in their cider--made right on site. We started with a tasting of all ten ciders, which was such a fun experience. It didn't take long for us to find several favorites. The pineapple, mango, sour apple, and strawberry key lime were the standouts for me, and the vanilla cinnamon was an unexpectedly delicious surprise. Choosing just four for our flight was honestly the toughest part of the evening. Our group included myself, my husband, my mom, and my daughter, so we ordered a variety of appetizers to share. The poutine waffle fries were incredible--coming from Michigan, we take our poutine seriously, and these absolutely exceeded expectations. The charcuterie pretzel was another winner, packed with a great variety of textures and flavors. The pepperoni chips were a fun twist, and the mustard, beer cheese, and fig dips made it feel like a charcuterie board in the best possible way. For dinner, we decided to sample a little bit of everything. We tried two wing flavors--datil and honey sriracha--and both were cooked perfectly with bold, memorable flavor. We couldn't pick just one macaroni and cheese, so we ordered both the pulled pork and the buffalo chicken versions. They were comfort food at its finest: creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Chipotle Flatbread, and as a family that has owned pizza restaurants for decades, we were impressed. The crust was spot on, the toppings generous, and the sauce pulled everything together beautifully. By the end, we were far too full for dessert, but we're already planning our return visit. When I walked in I was instantly greeted and taken to a table right away. Ken not only came to my table fast he instinctively knew I wanted water with lemon which impressed me right away. I also went with a cider flight and picked my four flavors and also ordered food. The Strawberry Key lime was amazing. It was hands down my favorite. I ordered the twisted charcuterie pretzel and it was the most magnificent work of art. The bacon brittle, jalepeno jelly and pepperoni chips were some of the most creative things I've ever seen. This was my first time here! My friend and I were exploring the area when we came across this hidden gem! At first we just wanted to try their free cider samples. But once we tasted those freebies, we wanted more! So we decided not only get more cider but actually grab a bite as well! We had Brussels sprouts and cider braised meatballs - all were delicious! What an amazing spot. Great location is just off Saint George Street, but feels intimate and cozy. Incredible layout, with a tasting room that is classy, well designed, and has a view of the brewing operation. They also have seating for dinning in this room. Outside their is also dining seating under a pergola and they have heaters available on those chilly nights. Additional seating is available in the farmhouse which also has a full bar, no hard alcohol, but they do have cider, beer, wine, and soft drinks. I don't drink alcohol, so I can't comment on the cider, but heard is was fantastic to those in my party that tried them. We sat outside and were greeted by our waitress Hope and the general manager Brian introduced himself to us and thanked us for visiting and walked us through the night. My party went and tried the cider tasting and I was given a tour by the owner of the brewing operation, which was very impressive. From there, we had our apps and thought the kitchen made a mistake and put bacon on our Brussels sprouts, but the manager came over and assured us that there was no bacon in the dish in a very polite and professional way. As promised they didn't have any bacon, but they were by far the best fried Brussels sprouts I have ever had. Light and crispy, yet soft and sweet with a subtle bit of heat that balanced the dish out. I highly recommend them. We also had the Pretzel charcuterie board, which was also out of this world. Super big pretzel paired with a cheese and mustard sauce that were exquisite. The plate also featured assorted meats, jams, nuts, and a pistachio goat cheese that was dynamite. For the main course, I tried the cheese waffle fries and classic mac and cheese, which were also very good. I also tried a PB&J fried wing, which was cooked perfectly. I do have to be honest and say I wish it had a touch more jelly, as I felt the peanut butter was a bit overpowering on that one dish, but still a great wing. I hope to try their other sauces. This has instantly become one of my absolute favorite places in Saint Augustine and I can't wait to visit it again and make it one of my new hangouts when I visit downtown. I want to thank Hope and Brian for their awesome service along with the rest of the staff for putting together an amazing dining experience. I wish them many years of success and prosperity and look forward to being a frequent visitor in the years to come. Cidersmiths is a welcome new addition to historic district St. Augustine! The atmosphere is welcoming and a beautiful setting once you step inside. There is a lot of comfortable space in a variety of areas. The Tasting Room is very nice and they offered 10 different cider varieties. My favorite was the Strawberry Key Lime Cider although they were all good. The menu offers a great variety of items that compliment their ciders, too. I had the best Bavarian pretzel I've ever had outside of Bavaria! The perfect amount of salt, warm and melt in your mouth pretzel and the dipping mustard and beer cheese were superb! Lots of wing choices- I went with the Datil ones since they were so unique. It's nice that you have options of 4 or 8 wings so you can have a variety, Fried pickles were also very good. I only wish I had been more hungry and look forward to many visits in the future to experience their flat breads, salads and gourmet Mac and cheese. The menu is more upscale than regular bar food.
