Please remember when reviewing the winery. The winery, tasting and tours are completely separate from La Cocina, the rooftop restaurant. I am seeing poor reviews, few, that have nothing to do with the winery and tours/ tastings.

Super cool experience at the San Sebastián Winery! Friendly staff and learned a bit of wine making and drinking along the way. They have a self guided tour that is $5 plus tax and you get 6 tasting and can pay an extra $10 plus tax for a premium tasting that I think is well worth it and you get two keep a glass and plastic cup from each tasting. It's great because it's indoors so no heat and there are clean restrooms, free parking, and a restaurant on the third floor. It took us about an hourish to completely. They have reds, whites, rosas, and dessert wines to taste. Highly recommend to anyone 21 and up! ^.^

Highly recommended if you're in Saint Augustine! Their website said tours and tastings are free and they aren't, so that started things off on a sour note. They definitely need to get that updated. It was only $5 so it's not expensive, but still. Once the tour started, we really enjoyed it! It started with a video about the history of the winery, then we walked through the building to see some of the equipment. The last part was a tasting, where our tour guide walked us through how to taste wine and served six samples in an included souvenir cup. I especially loved the Rosa and the Vintner's Red, and my husband liked the Vintner's Red and White. The bottle prices aren't bad at all, especially for how good it is. We ended up buying a bottle of the Vintner's Red, and part of the proceeds go to a foundation. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, which added to the experience as well.

Very nice, simple tour. I was looking forward to visiting, because I love Lake Ridge Winery in Clermont. Although the wine tasting costs $5 at this location, they at least have a restaurant with a view. Good service overall.

It was a pear type of wine sangria drink-delicious!

Definitely enjoyed this place! We missed the tour of the wine tasting when we first arrived but we were still able to sample 4 wines. They were all great. This was my first time Visiting this place and I had heard so many get things that it was nice to finally come here and explore. Although, we didn't eat here (so it's a must we come back), we enjoyed the rooftop and the live music. OMG the young lady who sang that evening was amazing! Her music selection was chefs kiss especially because it was just geared to only a certain population. I could have stayed here for the rest of our Friday evening. We ordered drinks and they didn't disappoint! I definitely want to come back this was such a great vibe, the music, great friends and drinks-definitely one of my favorite highlights!

Let me start by saying, according to the locals San Sebastian Winery used to be a happening spot. There is still the winery at the bottom of the building. And they still give tours. But the 3rd floor is now host to a restaurant and they also manage the outside areas and the bar. So really, this is more of a review of the 3rd floor bar and patio area which is managed by the restaurant. But it is branded as the winery. In my experience if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. To start, I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 7pm. The winery part was already closed and entering the building the place looked abandoned. The only reason I know it wasn't is because I could here the live jazz duet's music wafting from the 3rd floor. The only way I could find to get upstairs was an old elevator. It was kind of creepy to say the least. I am sure though there have to be stairs because of the fire code. Once I got off the elevator on the 3rd floor, there was a reception area for the restaurant. The hostess guided me to the roof bar which was to the left. There was another roof bar to the right, but it was closed and when I asked, they said they only use it for private events. That area is way more scenic and would be a great place to watch the sun set. Unfortunately they no longer have it open to the public, which when I talked to the locals was one of their biggest criticism. As I said there was live music, which was a great touch. I sat at the bar and the service was great. Not a big wine drinker, but they did have craft beer and their charcuterie at $28 was alright. Would I come here again, probably not. In my opinion there are way better places to hang out in St Augustine. Too bad the other roof area wasn't open, because that might of made it worth my while.

Fun fact. The self-guided tour is not available during the week. There is a 45 minute tour for five dollars with a movie to start and then samples on the first floor. The retired professor was very knowledgeable and funny! We learned a lot about wines and the process of tasting.

Do you like wine and free wine? This is the spot! My wife, sister, brother in law and I participated in a free tour with complementary tasting. We even added on a small paid tasting to finish off a great visit and of course we went home with a few bottles of their delicious wines.

Even though the wine tasting ended when I got there, I was able to sample a few wines in the back with a bartender and afterwards I went to the rooftop which was amazing. Great views and I got a cocktail which was refreshing.

This is a must do when visiting St. Augustine. The winery tour is free and provides many samples. The route is clearly labeled with many staff members to assist you. I like the beginning of the tour where all of the photos and history are to stop and read. I enjoyed many of the samples, and the sweet red option is always a favorite. Our group opted to upgrade and pay $5 each for the additional 2 wine tastings paired with some dark chocolate. It's definitely worth it. We made our way to the gift shop, where I purchased the red wine in the lighthouse bottle and proceeds go to keep the St. Augustine Lighthouse afloat. Our party of 6 made our way to the rooftop, where we all ordered additional wines and some small bites. The food had great remarks from the girls in our group. There were plenty of tables and umbrellas to give us some shade. This was about 1.5 - 2 hour visit in total.

On the Old Town Trolley Tour, it was a hot Saturday afternoon in late August. We decided to take a break at San Sebastian Winery to cool off & sample some wines. As the only regular wine drinker in our group, I was thrilled to try San Sebastian's varieties. My son & DIL don't drink wine often but they seemed to enjoy the tastings, too. They had actually suggested coming here before we decided to take the trolley (which was also a great choice). And we had a wonderful visit at San Sebastián Winery! After our *kids* showed their IDs, we were each given a small clear plastic cup (shot-size, for reference) to use for our tastings, along with a list of wines. Not all the wines listed were available but we sampled a total of nine wines. Each sommelier identified the three wines offered at their station, and we could mark them on our list. The first stop was a large bar in the back of the gift shop, with a selection of three dry wines. The next bar was upstairs in a dark barrel room to taste the sweets. Also upstairs, the final station was in the walkway, offering dessert wines. By the time we finished tasting all nine samples, I wanted to try the flight of 3 sweet wines before we left. The servings were much larger than the tasting sizes but not quite half a glass each. And $5 total for all three was steal! All they were fantastic. Unfortunately, it seemed like the winery became very busy during our tastings upstairs, and the bar serving the flights was packed. My initial wait was just a couple of minutes, but since the flight was served one glass at a time, I found myself waiting so long for my second wine that I literally got right back in line for my final glass instead of enjoying wine #2 with my group. Though this L-shaped bar was large enough, only one bartender was taking payments & pouring, which created a tremendous line that stretched into the walkways & blocked people trying to get to the tasting stations. Though I obviously probably enjoyed our visit more than the others in my group, I think everyone had a good time. My DIL bought a cookbook from the giftshop so I was happy she wasn't terribly bored waiting on me. We all appreciated the clean bathrooms & free bottled water as well.

Amazing rooftop bar with a great vibe. Relax to live music with a nice view and really good drinks and food. Staff is friendly and attentive. I love their sangrias but highly recommend the tropical guava.

I'm a frequent visitor of the beautiful and fun rooftop here. Nice weather plus their sangria makes for an excellent afternoon. However, this trip was a bust. After walking the wine sample tour, we made our way up to the rooftop. We entered about 10 minutes after opening and were the first customers. Hostess asked us to grab a table and someone would come take our order. Two employees standing by the bar made eye contact with us but did not come to our table. After some time, we realized they were not in a hurry to help us. It wasn't until we got up to leave that one started to head our way. By then, it's too late. Nothing more disappointing than poor service at one of your favorite spots.

They've recently undergone some renovations which are finally done & the new store looks great. The floor has really been opened up & they did a great job at utilizing the space. Everything is organized nicely, prices are listed clearly & the store itself is spotless. I haven't personally tried them yet but their hot chocolates definitely caught my eye, they offer a nice handful of varieties. Even the coffee lovers, like myself, are recognized. They have a chocolate-flavored coffee that sounds interesting so I'm thinking about grabbing a bag on my next visit. The chocolate covered espresso beans are also delicious, although I like the milk chocolate ones way more than the dark. Every time I've visited this location the employees are so friendly. They acknowledge you as soon as you enter, they almost always offer help & they're efficient at handling crowds. Customer service goes a long way & they do a great job here. If you're just passing through or staying in St. Augustine then you need to give them a visit. In a world full of mass produced chocolate, it's a breath of fresh air to find a company that cares about serving amazing products. You can even do a factory tour at this location to find out all about their process!

Unfortunately the weather decided otherwise. The weather was terrible and the rooftop closed. We opted to continue with our evening as one of our friends lives in Vilano. I had visited the original restaurant many moons ago but was looking forward to the new location despite it being in a hotel. I am a vegetarian and the options for those are very limited. And I get it. It's a steakhouse. My friends all love steaks. Between the four in our party we had the bread which was out of this world and we ended up ordering a second order, the goat cheese terrine which was tasty, chopped Salad minus the bacon was delicious,Caesar salad for one lady, the mashed potatoes and they were not great, the seasonal vegetables and those were awesome, the Brussel sprouts which were very good but a skimpy portion, a filet steak review was it was ok, steak mofongo and review was ok, and lastly the vegetable pasta and again review was ok. I personally just had the sides as I hate onion and I could not get a vegetarian pasta without onion. The pros are everyone on the staff was wonderful! Bartenders, our server Jonny, hostess, valet guys, etc. The cons are the chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, the space is dressed up a bit for a hotel but still a hotel restaurant, some of the patrons had on shorts and ball caps. For the menu prices a dress code should be enforced and more comfortable seating available. I still want to check out the sunset rooftop and the bread is worth another trip. Other than that, I have other places in SA I lean toward.
