This was my 3rd time booking a tour with Old Town Trolley Tours in Saint Augustine. Back in 2019? we visited for the first time and did the regular tour, then in 2024 we did the Ghost tour, and then this year, I once again did the regular tour. The gentlemen at the booth next to the cathedral was super sweet and gave a great lunch recommendation. We bought the Jail Tour and it's such a different experience seeing it during the day. It was definitely worth the cost. My favorite thing about OTT is that each driver adds their own flare. I will always recommend OTT if they're in a city that I visit. read more

Our first visit to the Nights of Lights. It was a very nice trolley tour. Not the fault of the company but I was disappointed just a little. I got the impression there were more lights than I saw. Still beautiful and glad we did it but just not what I had imagined. I thought every building in the area was covered with lights. The driver we had, don't know his name, was very informative and funny. He sang along with the songs, shouted out for the kids to find the elfs and we all laughed when he asked us to find the two red lights in the trees and to his surprise they had been turned off. Traffic is horrific and the seats are tight and hard so that was a little uncomfortable but again I am so glad we did this. I would just suggest going before Christmas or the last week. It might not be as crowded. We went the Saturday after Christmas. Not as busy as Dec 1-20th. Also we did the early tour at 6:30 and when we got back the line was crazy long for the other tour times. read more

We once again found ourselves in St Augustine and had to do the trolley tour. You don't get to pick your driver but we truly lucked out with Texas Tim and Wolfe, both were extremely informative and entertaining. Enjoy the sights, sounds and history lesson as you drive around to approximately 22 different stops. It is a hop on hop off and your ticket is good all day. I found your trolley system to be a complete rip off!!! It was always full there were a lot of other visitors on it whom thought it was FREE?!?! Highly disappointed when I paid $260+ for 6 of us and we could only get on 2x!!!! All the other times it was completely full because having a little sticker on did NOTHING!! I assumed that since you had a QR coding system, that you'd have to scan each time to be able to get on! It wasn't even a "busy" day or time or special event, it was 45° and we had to walk all the way back to Trolley parking lot from center of town! She had a different perspective, so win win. The last driver we had, Pepper, was a hoot. We had such a great afternoon getting on and off the trolley and exploring. As Tampa residents and natives, with an adult kid living in Jacksonville, we find ourselves in St Augustine at least once a year. But we'd never done any kind of tour. On the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend this year, our son & DIL drove down to meet us for a late breakfast and we decided to take the Old Town Trolley Tour. As it was a very last-minute decision, we bought tickets in person, though we could have saved a few bucks if we had bought online before arriving. We did have to wait in line a few minutes to buy our tickets but it didn't seem slow enough that we missed a trolley. Seating on the next one was easy. Once in line at the depot to board, the wait was brief as we were directed where to sit. The open-air trolley was quite pleasant while moving, even in late August. But there's traffic & lots of stopping, and the sun is brutal. Know the weather for your ride & be prepared. We rode from the Old Jail (where we bought our tickets) to the San Sebastian Winery stop. I wish I'd noted the name of the guide on the first leg of our trip because he was outstanding. He spoke clearly and was incredibly informative as well as very friendly. I believe he mentioned that he'd retired from the military a few years ago and was now thoroughly enjoying driving for Old Town Trolley. When we were ready to board the trolley again at the San Sebastion Winery stop, we found many others also crowded at the curb. And the arriving trolley was already rather full. So we stepped back & waited for the next trolley. The wait was short, though, as I barely had time to use the adjacent restroom. As it was getting late in the day, and the kids needed to drive back to Jacksonville, we decided to ride back to our starting point. But as regular St Augustine visitors, we were really enjoying the history & stories and hoped to hear more. Unfortunately the guide on this leg of our trip spoke loudly into the mic which made him difficult to understand. Plus, the fellow passengers seemed a bit more rowdy than earlier in the day so the crowd noise was elevated. I enjoyed this trolley tour so much! I'd definitely do it again! Remember my tip to order tickets online before arrival. They offer plenty of free parking at the Old Jail. And don't skip viewing the historical museum exhibits adjacent to the gift shop (free with trolley ticket). read more

St. Augustine is the oldest city in the United States with lots of interesting things to see from one end of the town to the other end. Our tour driver was funny and informative with great tales at each stop. You will not be bored. You are able to get great pictures at every site. The seats are comfortable and can seat 4 adults in each row. The staff in their Welcome store are very nice and helpful with questions.There are benches available while you wait for the trolley to arrive. Those with bad knees or bad back should ask for assistance to climb up into the trolley. They have sturdy step stools and a strong attendant to give you a helping hand literally. The tour was great! We got to see many sites in the city and the tour guide provided a multitude of interesting facts. My only note is that since it is hop on hop off you're not guaranteed to hop right on once you're done exploring an area. If you want to hop off and take a picture real quick, you will wait for 15 minutes and the next trolley that comes could be full. We took the trolley tour on a Tuesday afternoon. Our tour guide was fantastic, being very fun, outgoing, and informative. The driving was smooth and at a good pace. Although the price is somewhat steep, and the seats could be more comfortable, it would be beneficial if they were updated to be more inviting, considering the tour's duration. My only thought is that they encourage frequent departures. Overall, taking the trolley early in the day, at the beginning of your trip, is an excellent way to explore Saint Augustine and determine where to spend more time on subsequent days. read more

It was about a mile away to this special historic area where the trolley is stationed along with a history museum, which was included in the ticket price. This area also had the old Jail museum, oldest store and a trading post. After visiting the history museum we boarded the trolley. Traffic was congested and we didn't move too much so we got off at stop 7 of the 22 stops. The town is so easy to walk around. The trolley stops at 5pm so we never got back on. read more

Nonstop to St Augustine is complete without the trolley tours. I have not been here for years so was very happy to get to hear the history. As a Florida history buff I would love to see the work with a historian to update some of their facts. Overall, it is such a great way to learn about the city. What I learned was that it is all about the tour guide. We got so lucky the first time and had a great guide named Troy. We kept looking for him the rest of the day to hop on his trolley. He seemed to love the city. One tour guide was so bad he just seemed to want to get through his tour. He even kept calling St George Street St John Street. I don't know how that could get messed up. We were in St Augustine and booked an Old Town Trolly Tour. We were SO GRATEFUL to have a woman named PEPPER be our guide! She welcomed us onto her HOT TAMALE TROLLEY and was beyond wonderful! She actually had us all engaged (and we were 3 cars deep) with her warm stories and infectious laughter. That evening we took the Nights of Lights Trolley, and LITERALLY screamed out "YEAY! IT'S PEPPER"! Here too. After working all day, she goes straight into the evening tours (several card deep), and is as warm, welcoming, funny, sweet, engaging and absolutely outstanding! EVERYONE sang, or yeehawed, or said hello to strangers on the street, when she asked. Why? Because she made us ALL feel welcomed and appreciated. I purchased tickets for myself and a few others on a Tuesday afternoon, about 1:30 PM. We bought the tickets at the St Augustine visitors center, waited roughly 10 minutes, and when the next trolley arrived, there was no room for my party of five. So we took off walking as I only had a short window to hang out before I headed home. We grabbed lunch, then a little shopping, then waited for another trolley at a different stop. Thankfully, we could all get on this one. I was able to ride for six stops, then hopped off and headed back to my car. My friends stayed on for the remainder of the ride. The driver was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. He kept us entertained while also teaching us facts about St Augustine. I highly suggest purchasing tickets and getting on prior to 12 PM in order to get a spot on the trolley. As there is no limit to staying and riding all day. You can get on and off whenever you wish, provided the trolley is not full. Tickets are $44 each, and it stops running at 4:30 PM. read more

My motivation was they covered everything I wanted to see and I didn't have to worry about finding parking. The stops were convenient and you could hop on hop off all day. Love this tour. It's the perfect way to See and hear about the old city if you are a first time visitor and for us, a one-day must do when the weather is hot. We always start the day early, take the full tour once around and plan our day. The tour has changed in the past few years, especially without the red train competition. The tour still takes you throughout town, into Lincolnville, out to the winery, back to Uptown and the Old Jail. We take a beach trolley downtown where we get our stickers for hop on and hop off the trolley as we see the sites. Well, here's the thing, people will never get off so you can't get on!!! Very expensive! We went on an excruciatingly hot day last week and paid for the tour that includes the Fountain of Youth and Old jail visit. Next time I would save the money and just drive to those places directly. The trolleys are VERY SLOW and a driver didn't even stop to pick us up at the fountain of youth stop so we waited an additional 20 minutes during a heat advisory. The same stories are repeated over and over. Very uncomfortable seating and be prepared to sweat if it's a hot day because there is no air circulation at all. I think it's a gimmick for first timers like us and we won't recommend to anyone going. read more

What a blast! Our evening lights tour was fun even in the rain the staff made the best of it. The hot apple cider at the end was well needed and refreshing. Day 2.
